Just Shagging Grads, here is your shiny new Fred!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The last thread saw plenty of births and we've got loads of new Grads to add to the mix. Bring on the TMI posts, the midnight moans, the birthwatches and the pom poms!

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 17th thread.

Afternoon shaggers! Grin How are we all - any exciting gossip from anyone?!

hooya how are you and the gorgeous Huxley getting on? Hope you get to go home soon (not least because your nursery looks AMAZING and needs that beautiful baby in it asap!

Nothing exciting happening chez kitten....EDD is tomorrow - eek!! Have been having some periody type pains for the last week or so, but not turning into anything regular so I guess it must be just warm up stage still. Have a mw appt booked for saturday and she's offered a sweep if I want one....think i'll probably take her up on it - anyone got any advice/opinions?

PrincessKitKat · 11/09/2013 16:04

Hi Kitten.
How exciting! I will be interested in views on sweeps etc. I haven't a clue!

Absolutely NO interesting news here in pre 12-week limbo waiting for the scan so we can spread the love! It's taking forever!! Smile

Is this the forum with the secret FB page for sharing baby loveliness? Does anyone know the secret knock to get in?

Hooya · 13/09/2013 06:29

Kittenhow exciting! Are you hoping it happens asap or wanting to "relax" for a while?

Princess sorry that I've no idea how to add you to the fb page but someone cleverer than me will surely come along soon and sort it out!

Three yup just kitten then your turn, how are you feeling?

Here things are amazing. My milk came in on day 2 and Huxley has been feeding like a dream! Ok a bit more often than I'd like, about 15 mins every hour, but with no pain, no engorgement, good supply etc. Having read about how hard it could be I am immensely relieved that at least so far it's going well! That and my concerns about bonding turned out to be completely misplaced - actually can't get over how much I love him already and it's only day 3!

BroodyTroody · 13/09/2013 07:22

Hello all!

Having just got my bfp after my time on the JSing thread, I'd like to join please!!

notsoold · 13/09/2013 07:51

Welcome brody!!! And congratulations!!! How many weeks are you???

Kitten EDD day!!! Are you able to relax??? I am not the most relaxed person anyway but I hope you are!!! :) not long to see baby kitten!!!

Hooya....that was a wonderful post and I am so happy things are going so well!! Please do keep us posted!! :)

Princess... The wait is a killer isn't it??? Do you have a list of who you are going to tell or just tell everybody???

34 weeks here and I have a terrible cold. Had another scan yesterday and lo was holding his foot and letting go and swinging gently so no photo again!!!. Still breech, therefore I will have another scan in 2 weeks before they decide it it means c section or what....
I personally think thank after hearing that I won't be allowed a water birth ( loved with ds) because of diabetes, not allowed to go to term( even though my others were always overdue) because of baby size and being ahem older, and yesterday being told that probably induced at 38 weeks if everything well ( because of all reasons above), I am losing my nerve!!!
Baby is measuring right and around 6 pounds...that seems right to me if I compare to you uk girlies, but already is almost full size for a south American like me.....
Sorry for ranting...

MrsAVB · 13/09/2013 08:25

What a lovely post, hooya, thank you for sharing!
Welcome and congrats broody!
X

cookielove · 13/09/2013 10:14

Princess i maybe able to add you pm me

cookielove · 13/09/2013 10:18

Just checked princess. I can add you.

thethreeblondies · 13/09/2013 14:44

Eeeeeeek Kitten EDD! Hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too long to meet them!

Hooya that's a lovely post, glad all is going well (I had a fairly easy time with both DD's, lovely babies, watch me struggle this time!)

I'm 35 weeks today! Bit uncomfortable but trying to enjoy these last few weeks as this will probably be my last pg! Baby is very wriggly and strong not sure if it wants to stay in another 5 weeks! Feels like it's running out of room Smile

PrincessKitKat · 13/09/2013 18:52

Thanks Cookie!
Hi Broody! Welcome!
Any rumblings yet Kitten?

Notsoold I don't plan to FB broadcast it or anything, but a text will definitely go out to our good friends & my mum is BURSTING to tell everyone shes ever met, ever (first GC and I'm an only one Smile).
How interesting that babies have different average birth weights?? Makes absolute sense but I'd never thought about it. My family only have huge, chuffing babies so I'm expecting a 3 month old to burst out causing untold damage Confused

BroodyTroody · 14/09/2013 08:35

Thanks everyone :)

Notsoold I'm 4+6 today, so wishing away the days to 12 weeks so we can tell our friends Smile how many weeks is everyone else?

I've had quite a bit of period type pain this week, but I'm assuming its just my body changing!

Princess I know what you mean about big babies! I was only around 5lb, but my DS was 8lb, and DH & his brothers were even bigger Shock

PrincessKitKat · 14/09/2013 23:12

Broody my cousin was 10.4 Shock babies on both sides of my family are seriously huge! Scared!

I had crampy ov-like pains & sharp standby pains early on - apparently its to do with ligaments softening in your pelvis? It passed off around week 7 for me, but I occasionally get the odd one.

When is your DD? If you scroll back there is a roll call of due dates somewhere...

notsoold · 14/09/2013 23:36

Princess... Prepare yourself to get lots of higs and well wishes.... I had to broadcast on FB as my relatives are spread all over the place...still good fun!!!

Broody...is time going slowly for you ??? It dragged for me until 12 weeks and now after 30 weeks as well!!! But 4+6 is excellent, isn't it???

notsoold · 14/09/2013 23:38

Apologies for all the typos

Hooya · 15/09/2013 01:03

Hello Broody and congrats! Sorry to be so slow with my welcome! Is this your first?

I am pleased to report it is 9am here and i'm still in bed, the wee man having had 2 or 3 night feeds but settling great after all of them. I really hope this bubble doesn't burst but i know it will!

Kitten how are you? Must be soon now!

Notso, has he turned yet? I will get round to posting my birth story soon so may offer some reassurance if you have to have a planned C section!

notsoold · 15/09/2013 01:46

Hooya...please do tell us....

Baby hasn't turned yet so I will have another scan at 36 weeks ( on the 26th) and they said that things will be sorted then. As c section are more common in my home country I am not too bothered with the surgery per se only with the 6 weeks non driving afterwards ( as told in some freds)...
Is more a question of narrowing other options... Not allowed to go overdue, nor the water pool, not allowed to go to term ( will ve induced at 38 weeks... Etc.) :(

No more ranting!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

cookielove · 15/09/2013 11:07

Broody I am 11+4 I am due on the 4/4/14 but that may change on scan day. Which is in 8 days ish

cookielove · 15/09/2013 11:08

Whoops I'm 11+3.

BroodyTroody · 15/09/2013 18:28

Notso in some ways it feels like time is dragging, but to think we found out a week ago, it feels like yesterday! So a mixture really!

Thank you Hooya, yes this is my first so all new, think this is why I worrying so much! Blush

I can't book my scan until I'm 6 weeks so roll on next Sunday! I don't have to go through the Dr here, you just self refer- has anyone else done this?

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 16/09/2013 12:33

broody hello! Time does drag - until 12 weeks, and then from 12-20 weeks. Now it seems to have speeded up again (am 24+3 today), which is nice.

hooya AWESOME news - hope the bubble is still intact!

notso sending turning vibes - TURN, BABY, TURN, Grin

Had my 25 week appointment today - got to hear bean's heartbeat for the first time, which was lush. All good, measuring fine, mw seemed happy. Just praying I pass the GTT in a few weeks time - fx for no GD for me.

OP posts:
notsoold · 16/09/2013 13:35

Humpty....my ds suggested some loud music might do the trick so you are thinking along the right lines!!!:)...and my fingers crossed for you for no gd. I have it and it is a pain!!! But could ve worse!!!

Broody....I had to go through the midwife....including scan...

Cookie...april is a great time for a lo....baby will be bigger by summer and enjoy it with you!!!:)

Awful weather and I have a flat tyre. So I will have to wait for dh to come from work and sort it for me:) my slave of the day...lol

Kittenkatzen · 18/09/2013 08:00

Morning.....still here, still upduffed......sigh. Come OUT now baby, OUT OUT OUT!!! 40+6 today and babykitten seems perfectly comfortable where they are :( Midwife tried to do a sweep on Saturday but cervix was still almost completely closed, and apparently baby has head-spinned and is now back to back too which is RUBBISH!! Spending lots of time hanging over the birth ball/back of the sofa in the hope baby will break dance back again! Second sweep attempt tomorrow night.

broody welcome and congrats on your bfp, so exciting! kitkat was right about the ligament pains - it's called round ligament pain and is basically just things stretching and moving to make room for your newly expanding uterus :) I had it for a good few weeks on and off.

Agree with all the chat about time dragging in the early stages...the first 12 weeks feel like they'll never end, 12-20 weeks is only marginally better, but honestly once you hit that 24 week "viability" stage the time just flies by!

humpty so lovely to hear the heartbeat isn't it :) Fx for your GTT - do yourself a favour and don't have a cinnamon bagel topped with peanut butter and honey for breakfast that morning....I did and had to be re-tested as my sugar levels were through the roof Blush

notso and blondies hope you're both doing ok and not too uncomfortable....are you as glad as I am that the weather has cooled of a bit now?!

hooya so lovely to hear about your baby bubbles, long may it last! Would love to hear your birth story when you get a chance to write it up!

Right, I'm off to sulk some more about not having gone into labour yet....

Rockchick1984 · 18/09/2013 08:11

Kitten get some high strength evening primrose oil capsules and shove one or 2 up your fanjo at bedtime make sure to wear knickers and a pad the prostaglandins in it as your body heat dissolves the capsule will soften your cervix. I did this for 3 days when having DS and I went into labour the 4th night. The day before I started I'd had an exam and was told my cervix hadn't started changing yet and it would be a long time til labour started!

Kittenkatzen · 18/09/2013 08:28

Hey rock how are you getting on? High strength epo up the foof you say hmmm...that'll be me off to Holland & Barrett this afternoon then, thanks for the tip!

Rockchick1984 · 18/09/2013 08:57

I'm ok thanks Kitten - 16 weeks now and been feeling movement which is lovely! At the midwife this afternoon so will hopefully hear the heartbeat :)
