I am loving the sound of bear snowsuit s too. Need to get some of those too. The list grows ever longer

keepitgoing · 27/08/2013 09:06

I don't know why kiddicare didn't email me the 10% voucher when I signed up. Argh, that's £25 wasted. drop in the ocean

maybe, it's your scan this week isn't it? How are you doing lovely?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2013 09:48

It is lovely Keep, it's Thursday. I'm struggling a by to be honest. I'm shattered. Can't get more than an hours sleep without waking up either for a wee or from a nightmare, I've had loads lately. Convinced myself something's gone wrong Sad. Silly mare, I know Wink

ThedementedPenguin · 27/08/2013 10:09

maybe nothing has gone wrong. They are just the lovely side effects from pregnancy that you want. Try not to stress you will be fine.

So I'm waiting for my booking in, seems like I might be a while. :( bored already but I'm glad Dp and ds didn't come.

keepitgoing · 27/08/2013 10:43

maybe lots of people start to feel better at 10+ weeks. You've seen a hb, the chances of a mc with no bleeding or pain are really low. Dreams and weeing lots are annoying but normal, and a good sign. You're not silly, it's terrifying. But it'll be fine. And we are all brooking for you.

As for me, I've noticed I'm waking up much less for wees at night since we got home. Poss from drinking less, or maybe it's the stage. It's great as I'm sure it'll go worse again soon enough as Kip gets bigger.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2013 10:46

Thanks Pen and Keep. Wise, lovely brookers Smile

The thing is, I actually feel worse. I'm so tired and sick feeling. I'm really struggling at work today. I just want to go to bed. Only two more days to go Smile

That's good you're not up as much Keep, so much better getting a good sleep!

Hope they see you soon Pen!

SweetieTime · 27/08/2013 10:59

Maybe I think vivid dreams and frequent waking are normal. I had really dirty dreams rather than nightmares, so not quite as unsettling Blush
I am still really struggling with sleep. I go to sleep ok but then wake about 1am desperate to wee, only to go but only do a drop. Then I cannot get back to sleep. I cannot seem to get comfy, I have tried all different sleep position and pillow configuration but nothing helps. My hands are still a problem too and worse at night. I think it is all the joys of pregnancy. I am totally knackered today too. I am hoping to fit a nap in later.

keepitgoing · 27/08/2013 10:59

Oh well, feeling worse is fine too (you know what I mean!). Maybe call in sick tomorrow...

Yes, you know everything is easier to cope with after a good night's sleep!

keepitgoing · 27/08/2013 11:03

Oh sweetie I did talk to dh about your hands. Basically if yyou have carpal tunnel when yyou're not preg they can do a mini op to relieve tension, but it almost always goes after preg. My book says try and raise your hands, to drain fluid. Also have you tried hand exercises to keep the blood flowing.

I think you have to relish the good patches in pregnancy, they are fwe and fat between it can feel. I've been so lucky in that I've not been working, but i start on Monday and ask getting a bit worried about how I'll cope in a new job at this stage.

ThedementedPenguin · 27/08/2013 11:19

maybe they will pass. Although I know how you feel not soon enough.

So my booking in went well. Doesn't take as long second time round as everything is on the computer so you just have to double check it all. Got a quick scan with dildo cam and seen a hb. Although not measuring what I thought I was. However I'm sticking with my dates until my next scan which will be on 13/09. Can't wait.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2013 11:21

Thanks lovely Keep and Sweetie. I think it's the lack of sleep that's done me in Grin

I may speak to my boss and see if i can work from home tomorrow. She has been great.

What are your hours like Keep? Have you got far to travel?

Can you wear a support for the carpel tunnel Sweetie?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2013 11:22

That's when my 12 weeks scan is Pen!! Did the scan today put you forward or back? What's your due date? Pleased you got to see the heartbeat too!!

ThedementedPenguin · 27/08/2013 11:45

It put me back. Which I'm happy with. Don't know what my 'new' date is. Ill stick to my one until my next scan.

What times your 12 week scan maybe?

The 13/09 is a day before my ds' first birthday. Do thankfully mine is first thing in the morning as ill be flat out that day.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2013 11:56

It's at 12.30. Will be 12+5 then (if dates remain unchanged on Thursday)!

Is he having a party?!

ThedementedPenguin · 27/08/2013 12:13

Yes we will do something,

My mum goes on holiday that day. So she will be keeping him busy until she leaves and party starts.

I'm all excited but dreading it at the same time.

keepitgoing · 27/08/2013 17:00

I don't think they should change your dates maybe, and esp not in Thursday, its too early. I think its crazy some clinics do change ivfers dates, I'd try and stop them if they try it.

Grr kiddicare just sent me a blasted 10% off, after we spent £250 on Sat! Oh well, guess we can buy more.

I'm not sure about my hours. I'm being paid by the day and expect to do 4 days ish a week. One or two days a week I'll have a 1.5hr drive each way, others from home. I'm hoping to do less away from home as time goes on. I'm nervous in case there's too much to do and I can't do it, and how the driving will be as I do get tired.

Maybe I'm just out of the habit of working too Grin

keepitgoing · 27/08/2013 17:01

Is he one, pen? How cute.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2013 17:03

You'll be great Keep, just do as much as you can Smile

The clinic put me 3 days ahead the last time I saw them. I don't think it's made any difference though, my maternity notes still say the 26th rather than the 23rd that the clinic changed it to.

That's just another excuse to go and spend some more in kiddicare Wink

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/08/2013 17:25

What have I missed Maybe scan week you say? You're 12 weeks already Shock

Pen will you be a mwepp by now? How exciting :)

Off to wait for this thunder storm to pass before going off out again.

keepitgoing · 27/08/2013 17:25

It'd only cause an issue at the end, with induction and the like. IE I was measuring I think a week ahead at 13 week scan.

RubberBullets · 27/08/2013 17:27

Boo I hope that you don't mean Mr Whippy with all these preggos in here Shock

cartoontrickster · 27/08/2013 17:38

good grief I was just about to lick that ice cream too Wink
re dating. I was told by one of the many sonographers I've seen that the earlier scans (pre 12wks) were the most accurate at dating. didn't sound right to me though. but we've pretty much always been bang on though.
I can't stop looking at all the cow print bits on mothercare I'm supposed to be saving....... but I might have to have a cheeky spree in there esp since its buy one get one half price!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/08/2013 18:57

Do it Trix Grin

That's a good point Keep. But we are brookers, and will not need induction Wink

Thanks Biscuits Grin. How are you lovely? No, I'll be 10+4, though very much wish I was 12 weeks Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/08/2013 19:52

Course it's Mr Wippy but it doesn't count on here (tis special brooker Wippy) Grin anyone for sprinkles? Wink

cartoontrickster · 27/08/2013 19:54
