Mine is half out too pinkbuttons, just the top.

OrangeBlossom2 · 02/08/2013 16:52

GT I got some hideous but cheap nighties with buttons from primark. They didn't have the dark blue ones in all sizes but might be worth a look.

roofio87 · 02/08/2013 17:11

I got my nighties from Primark too, only £4 each so don't mind just throwing them after if need be!! I'm 31weeks today, only having 9 weeks left now seems no time at all!! Oh and I have an outy belly button defo!! Grin

notsoold · 02/08/2013 18:48

Hello all!!!

28 weeks and still not offered wc or flu jab...should i ask???

We do lots of washing mainly because ds is a filthy sporty teenager ( we love him!!). ...

roofio87 · 02/08/2013 18:55

notsoold I wasn't offered either, I rang mw to ask and she told me to book in with practice nurse!

ananikifo · 02/08/2013 18:56

Notsoold a couple of us have been told the flu jab isn't yet available this year and it's really early for that. I wouldn't worry.

I would phone your GP or mw about the whooping cough jab. It sounds like some of us have had it from the me, some from the practice nurse.

roofio87 · 02/08/2013 18:58

Hormonal emotional story of the day; I thought I'd taken cheese and onion crisps to work because the packet was green, but they were salt and vinegar. I really had to stop myself from crying haha!!Confused

Shootingstarsandcomets · 02/08/2013 19:00

Mines out at the top pinkbuttons!

ComtesseDeFrouFrou · 02/08/2013 19:07

Hello all, happy Friday!

A good day today, despite the hot sticky night! Had the day off and pleased myself pottering about in town and getting some baby bargains. Popped into the 99p store hoping for some witch hazel; they didn't have any, but they did have bottle brushes and a little set with nail clippers etc. Much better than the £10 or whatever John Lewis wanted for the same set!

Also, inspired by Pseudo had a lovely lunch just me. I guess, other than on mat leave, I might not get much of a chance after October.

Also done lots of research on reusable nappies. I think we'll stick to disposables until we get our eye in, but I'm very tempted by the Little Lambs microfibers plus wraps (probably Motherease) once we get more confident.

Flyer747 · 02/08/2013 19:18

Have a lovely holiday pseudo.

I have a horrid headache, it's lasted for 3 days now! Paracetamol isn't even touching it, feel lousy Hmm

PseudoBadger · 02/08/2013 19:23

Hi all, here I am on holiday with limited signal. I'm putting DS to bed and 3G popped up so here I am!

Flyer my dear, I'm like a broken record on this thread but I'd give the MW a call about your headache (and didn't you have reduced movement worries again this week?). At least then they can decide if they're worried.

Hope you enjoyed your solo lunch Comtesse :)

GTbaby · 02/08/2013 19:27

Thanks for primark tip. But every time I go I find nothing. Or not my size.

I have a big baggy blue vest that I used last time which I'll wear for labour. I have one dark nightie already. Just wanted a few more dark ones incase of leaking pads.
But I coped without last time. So I'll be fine this time.

I packed my toiletry and make up bag today. Including dry shampoo. Lol.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 02/08/2013 19:43

Oooh now I get to have a vbac I need to think about labour 'outfits'! And maybe pain relief and all those other things you do if you're actually going to be in labour rather than sliced open. Exciting and scary at the same time! I don't have anything baggy and old so maybe I look for an eBay nighty or something- it's not as if I'll be wearing it again!! Maybe I'll get DH to start perineum massage too!! Or maybe not, I'm really by sure I want my bottom massaged at the moment!

Tarlia · 02/08/2013 19:44

Happy belated birthday, buttons!

No outie here yet at 30+6, but I think it will this time as its getting so shallow suddenly. I also didn't have one last time.

Aww, roo, what has pregnancy done to us? Hehe. Gets worse afterwards too for a few days!

Washing - wash bedding once a week at least, often more in summer, towels once/twice a week, jeans/trousers after a couple of wears, tops after every wear, DS clothes every day. First timers prepare for a huge increase in white washing, even if you do coloured baby clothes lots have white on so should wash as whites and the vests and muslins build at an alarming rate!

Feeling very strange today, sick, crampy, BP is up in the high 90s to 100s - I sent DP to the pharmacy to buy urine sticks (god knows what ill do with the pot as loads in it!), no protine so not bothered calling the hospital as they will instantly want me in for a few hours (bus takes an hour and just don't have the energy for it). I guess I'll wait and see what tomorrow brings, if its still this high I guess I'll call in. Probably shouldn't be self diagnosing but baby is as active as ever.

Flyer747 · 02/08/2013 20:04

Thanks for the concern pseudo. It has crossed my mind, although I'm a person who generally fears the worse. We have a blood pressure machine in the house and I just used it, bp was 121/65 so all ok there. Probably just one of those pregnancy related things.

monkeytree · 02/08/2013 20:50

GT - I bought a dark blue nightie in Debenhams sale recently maybe a bit pricey before sale though.

Sorry to hear about all ladies with bugs. Expecting to be worrying about bugs when dd goes back to school in September and all the children get back together.

It's August! I should be happy that it's a new month and closer to meeting baby dd but can't help but think that I've still got a way to go (baby due 25th Oct). A friend gave birth a couple of days ago and it feels as if I've lost my pregnancy buddy swopping symptoms etc. I am delighted for her of course but feeling more impatient than ever! Tiredness doesn't help when I feel like I'm dragging my body from A to B. At least it's cooler and yes it's great that it's the weekend!

Have nothing to moan about really but feel as if I'm on an emotional rollercoaster with no two days the same in terms of tiredness/limbs aching/occasional breathlessness. Also have 7 year old dd to keep entertained over the hols but that's going o.k at the moment although did foolishly walk about too much in the heat yesterday.

Have a good weekend everyone.

MrsO27 · 02/08/2013 20:59

Flyer I had a headache for a few days at 24 weeks, mw said to take paracetamol every 4 hours (not exceeding max dose for a day) for a few days and it did seem to work. I was only using paracetamol sporadically before that. Also make sure you're drinking lots of water.

ananikifo · 02/08/2013 21:09

I have no advice about headaches but I hope it goes away soon, flyer.

I just reserved a summer infant body support pillow. I know I'm a bit late to the game but I really hope this helps me sleep comfortably.

PseudoBadger · 02/08/2013 21:26

Ooh my PGP is agony this evening :(

GTbaby · 02/08/2013 21:37

My scalp is getting stupid itchy :(

ComtesseDeFrouFrou · 02/08/2013 22:20

GT i had the same thing in my first trimester and its starting to creep back in. I guess it's just hormonal changes again

Sluggers · 03/08/2013 04:10

Just wanted to say hi!

Also... Third trimester is well & truly kicking in - sort back, really uncomfortable when sleeping, harder to move. Feel like I'm moaning a lot and I really don't want to be like that but oooh I'm finding it harder & harder now!

ananikifo · 03/08/2013 04:47

Hi, sluggers! At 4am we're allowed to moan. I can't get comfortable enough to sleep tonight. Sad

Natalieand · 03/08/2013 07:01

Hope all those up in the night managed to sleep. I too will just buy a few cheap nighties for labour/hospital, asda is pretty reasonable too and may have more if a selection. X

My sister is getting married today and my dress that fitted 10 days ago is so snug across my belly dh isn't pleased as he is worried I will be uncomfortable but not alot I can do now I already had a last minute alteration on the bust last night so I could breath, seems rediculous as I'm still only up 10-11 lbs since my bfp.

I can't remember who it was with the headache but I suffer quite badly from headache that travel down my neck and the best thing for them is paracetamol and sleep. Sleep mainly. Its the only thing that can seem to shift then since I have been pregnant, hope I find some releif soon x

Soupqueen · 03/08/2013 07:58

Have a great time today, natalie.

Coming late to the discussion, but I'm glad I'm not the only minger here! Towels and bedclothes get washed about every fortnight. I wouldn't dream of washing jeans or a skirt after 1 use (unless they got dirty), tops would depend on if they got dirty/sweaty. I do wash underwear after every wear though, and shower daily, so I don't see that my clothes and bedding can get that dirty! We do a couple of mixed loads and one of whites (mainly DH's work shirts so if he's on holiday, no need) most weeks. Obviously I'll be doing more washing when the baby is here.

MoN, how on earth is your electricity bill so low? Ours is way more for a 2 bedroom flat with both of us out at work full time. I'd love any tips you might have!

My bank were great re the extra DD payment, sorted out by end of day and they'll refund all charges. I just checked my balance though, and they've refunded both payments, aaarrrgghh!
