Oooh thanks Ninunina re info about aspartame. I sweeten my tea with a tsp of Splenda so OK on that front. But I do have a caffeine free diet coke every other day + low far yogurts both of which contain aspartame. I better cut that out off my diet!!

I haven't had any nausea, morning sickness or food aversion yet, I almost wish I would. It would make it seem more real Confused

Mild tummy cramping, bloating and very frequent trips to the loo continue. Also, my nose has been a bit sniffly and itchy since a week (before I found out even). This morning I woke up with a slight crampy aches at back of my legs / calves. It wasn't the usual muscle exercise ache but felt more like I'd pulled a nerve. Probably unrelated to the pregnancy but I'm watching my symptoms so closely... haha

Hope all you mums-to-be are having a lovely day and a massive congratulations to all the new BFPs!!

Trinpy · 01/08/2013 11:36

Ninaunina I'm on the organic decaff coffee to avoid all the chemicals. Really had to search for it but found some in waitrose (where else) which is quite nice.

My preg symptoms are bloating and sore boobs. The cramps ans backache are still there but dying down now. I'm 4+2 like bart so it must have just been very early growing pains.

Vikkijayne2507 · 01/08/2013 12:34

did my clear blue digital test bfp 2-3 weeks. I worked out I should be 2 weeks today since I ovd. so 4 weeks doctor time wise. I felt my first bit of nausea this morning and have a headache. boobs really sensitive today. im not back home until 12th and eill have to book a drs appointment fir after that so will be 4 weeks plus from oving. which week do you talk about. weeks since period started ot ov conception week

BartBaby · 01/08/2013 12:43

The docs and midwifes always go my weeks since last af so i always work on that aswell. Then i dont get confused thinking about different weeks! So by then you will be about 6 weeks. My midwife appt isnt until i will be 7 weeks so i wouldnt worry

KLou1105 · 01/08/2013 14:52

Hi can I join, just wanna say congratulations to everyone who is expecting in april 2014. i just got my BFP yesterday and I still can't believe it. I don't feel pg at all, just don't wanna eat much atm. So think I'm due April 4th first day off last af was 28th June x

Vikkijayne2507 · 01/08/2013 16:39

Ok that makes it easier if I'm 4 weeks as that's what I'll be told by drs etc if get there. Feels so surreal

dramajustfollowsme · 01/08/2013 16:55

Good luck to everyone. I won't be joining after all. Just hideously late and heavy period. Sad Away to take some paracetamol.

Trinpy · 01/08/2013 17:08

Sorry to hear that drama, but hopefully you'll be in the May 2014 group Smile .

Does anyone know if doctors always date pregnancy after mc from the date of the mc? I'm fairly sure I know when I ov'd and cb digis are confirming it, but it was about 4 weeks aftermy mc. So would the doctors say right now that I'm 4 weeks (from suspected ov) or 6 weeks (from mc)?

BartBaby · 01/08/2013 18:06

Not sure in that trinpy but if you say you dont know when you ov you may get an extra dating scan? I admit i dont have any experience on this myself but ive seen a few people mention it on MN.

Trinpy · 01/08/2013 18:18

That's what I was wondering. Really want an early scan so I can get some reassurance but there aren't any near to me that are less than £100.

ChocChaffinch · 01/08/2013 19:28

have done dd calculator on MN = 5th April, and then babycentre reckons 3rd April Smile

ChocChaffinch · 01/08/2013 19:31

trinpy I would say they go from the MC
everyone else is dating from LMP so I suppose in a way that's the closest thing

ChocChaffinch · 01/08/2013 19:33

trinpy - I think you can get an early pg scan on nhs after MC

I had one at 9+4 with my 2nd pg after bad HG and a prev MC they were happy to do it to 'put my mind at ease'

nb on the NHS you will need a full bladder for early scans, or they'll give you the option of an internal scan. It is just a 'wand' thing, doesn't hurt, just feels weird

Trinpy · 01/08/2013 19:53

Thanks for the info everyone. I think I will go to my gp and explain about the mc/confusion about dates/cramping and ask if I can have an early scan.

Definitelysometime · 01/08/2013 20:53

I've booked an early scan too, but until then am really starting to worry about my complete lack of symptoms. Even my larger, more sensitive boobs have gone back to normal today. Am thinking the worst. I'm not feeling more tired, or peeing more, and I'm supposed to be 6 weeks on Sunday. Does anyone else feel... Nothing?

ChocChaffinch · 01/08/2013 20:55

symptoms can calm down, or change, fingers x'd

pinkpeoniesplease · 01/08/2013 21:15

I feel nothing! I'm 5+3 so there's still time but its hard not to wonder if you're imagining it!

Ninunina · 01/08/2013 21:17

Trinpy I got pregnant with DD straight after mc and my GP ordered a dating scan. Unless it was a chemical pregnancy early, you normally wouldn't date from the date of your mc. In my case I think I ovulated 2 weeks after I stopped bleeding (dating scan confirmed this), but everyone is different. Where do you live? There are a few walk-in early pregnancy units. I went to St George's in London for the dating scan and for another scan when I had a bleed. I was registered with Kingston Hospital but they don't seem to mind.

PainAuxRaisins · 01/08/2013 22:04

I'm another one that's feeling absolutely nothing (but my belly is massive - some serious bloating going on - I look about 3mths already). No nausea though and not feeling as exhausted as I was a week or two ago so that's all good. Planning to go see a Dr tomorrow as I have the urge to tell someone else (...other than DH of course) - and would quite like to arrange the 8wk appt with midwife. Nice to see lots more BFPs joining!

Ninunina · 02/08/2013 10:09

I had the most terrible night last night. I woke up at 2am to check on DD and I just couldn't get back to sleep. I kept on thinking that I wasn't pregnant anymore cos boobs weren't sore and I wasn't feeling sick. I finally managed to fall asleep again at around 5ish and when I woke up again this morning my sickness was back (steadily getting stronger). AF was meant to be due today so I tested to make sure the line was getting darker. It is more visible now, but still quite a lot fainter than the control line. Do you think it's normal? I worry a bit about this since my lines were very faint when I had my mc at 6 weeks ( although I think they were barely visible at this stage). What did everyone's lines look like at 14dpo?
Oh boy. ...I think it s going to be a long 9 months. I thought this time would be easier since its #2!

Vikkijayne2507 · 02/08/2013 11:28

Hey all af was due today she didn't show so that's good as I had some cramping last night which felt like af. I'm 4 weeks and 2. Boobs sore but not as much as they were. Very bloated but hardly ate yesterday as didn't feel like eating. I also feel like I'm 3 months it's not good esp as I'm on holiday in a bikini.

Trinpy · 02/08/2013 12:00

Nina I did a test yesterday at 4+2 and the test line was much stronger than a week ago (and stronger than when I mc at 5+3 with last pregnancy). but still nowhere near the same darkness as the control line. As long as the test line is darker than the last time you tested I think that's a good sign Smile .

Cloudstar · 02/08/2013 14:08

Congrats to the new BFPs!

Pg symptoms tend to come and go so don't anyone worry if they go for a while.

I am 4+6 today by O date and feeling fairly normal physically but totally crazy emotional and quite anxious; in floods of tears at drop of a hat. My DS is not well which is making me an absolute emotional wreck.

Did anyone else have a really hard/high risk pregnancy the last time? My pg with my 2 yr old son was a nightmare; he became really ill in the womb and was born prem with lots of still ongoing health issues. Would be nice to know if anyone else here has had a hard time before.

ChocChaffinch · 02/08/2013 14:11

Thanks cloudstar hoping you have an easier ride this time
at least you know what could be ahead, mentally and physically that puts you in a stronger place; your team will be fully briefed so they can support you let's hope it all goes swimmingly this time

ChocChaffinch · 02/08/2013 14:13

I think a lot of the high emotions are 50/50 hormones....and shock factor! I still feel quite shocked and disbelieving.

inappropriate joke anyone?
