Well, almost!

BFP today, EDD 31st March but the March thread is well into thread 2 now!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Ninunina · 31/07/2013 20:27

pink I can assure you that the worrying never ends, but I did relax a bit after my 12 week scan with my 1st baby. Scans do help. I had a scan at 6 weeks (dating), scan at 9 weeks cos i had some spotting and then the usual scans. I see my consultant privately in Malta so scans are done pretty much every time I go, so I shouldn't have a lack of them. I will try not to go before 7 weeks though.

ChocChaffinch · 31/07/2013 20:32

DaisyLondon

after pondering on your post, I rang my surgery and asked doctor or midwife? and they said wait til approx. 7 weeks and then book a booking apt with the MW, this could take 45 mins.
so will just need to sort some childcare as don't want thing 1 and thing 2 with me... but we still haven't told anyone!!

ChocChaffinch · 31/07/2013 20:33

yes, congrats vikkyjayne and good luck drama

fingers crossed for healthy sticky beans galore

DaisyLondon · 31/07/2013 21:23

ChocChaffinch I decided to ring my GP surgery to clarify what's the situation with midwife and the booking appointment. The duty doctor (different to the one I saw yesterday) was very nice and reassuring. He said that my referral had been sent over to QCH and they should be writing to me soon. And if I hadn't heard from them in 10 days time, I should call them directly.

After we finished our conversation, he called me back second time to say that I should keep an eye on Surgery's website / Twitter for updates re flu jabs in Sep-Oct as pregnant women are at high risk of swine flu which is apparently still not wholly out of the picture.

No new symptoms to report apart major bloating but that's probably down to yet more alioli, bread and 4 tbsps of nutella [not all together]

Btw, has anyone else had a breakout? Mine's on my chin and jaw -- I am applying pure tea tree oil and it seems to help.

How's everyone else doing? I am one month and one day [4 + 4] preggo today Smile. Can't wait for first scan!!

ChocChaffinch · 31/07/2013 21:43

I have pimply chin and side of neck....yeah, hormones, thanks for that. wonders what alioli is eats more dark chocolate digestives

LeeHandy · 31/07/2013 21:44

congratulations vikky!! good to know the bfp came up before the tests ran out..Grin

Definitelysometime · 31/07/2013 21:50

I'm worrying a lot too - really not like me, and in fact I'm worrying that my worrying might be harming the tiny pea. If that makes sense. Keep having nervous / excited little tummy flips when I think about the pregnancy and sure my boys is being flooded with chemicals every time. Poor little mite!

Definitelysometime · 31/07/2013 21:50

Doh - body being flooded with chemicals...

ChocChaffinch · 31/07/2013 21:57

'''boy'' eh! Grin

ChocChaffinch · 31/07/2013 21:59

definitely

try to relax, but your excitement won't in any way affect the pea!
I already can't sleep - if I wake up in night that's it. tossing turning, names... possibilities...
need 2 wees in the night already ffs!

DaisyLondon · 31/07/2013 22:04

ChocChaffinch -- ohhh yum chocolate digestives!! Love em with a cuppa... On that matter, I am still having my two cups of tea per day but have cut out all coffee. I think that should keep me well under the caffeine limit Hmm.
Alioli is spanish mayo with garlic, it's delicious. The one I've got at the moment is from a brand called Chovi and has some paprika in as well... :)

Definitelysometime · 31/07/2013 22:07

Haha- I know, choc! Freudian slip?? My biggest concern is that it was boyS - twins?!

Thanks for the reassurance though. its really not like me - i need to chill the hell out. i definitely have the insomnia thing too. Been up two or three hours in the night several times recently. How annoying! Perhaps we should take to mumsnetting in the small hours... Grin

ChocChaffinch · 31/07/2013 22:21

Ive not fancied a cup of coffee for weeks. normally it's my petrol too Grin

am on about 3-4 mugs of tea per day though, can't lose that!!

ChocChaffinch · 31/07/2013 22:21

oooh mayo & garlic does sound like a winner. where do you buy that?

DaisyLondon · 31/07/2013 22:24

I found this one in Morissons just by the dips and houmous lovechovi.com/

But M & S do their own version of alioli, not as garlic-ky Wink

nataaaaliee · 01/08/2013 00:25

5 weeks today! :) just wondering if any of you girls have alot of symptoms yet?
I have quite a few
-neausea soo bad around lunchtime :(
-tmi but constipation
-sweating
-cramps

so worried I shouldnt be so sick at 5 weeks :o

hows everyone else getting along? :D

Ninunina · 01/08/2013 05:04

Don't worry Nat nausea does tend to start quite early for some people. I was just awoken with my nausea and I'm only 3+5 weeks! It was the same last time and though I was quite sick, it was manageable, so hopefully it won't mean that the earlier it starts the worse it is.

DizzyCow63 · 01/08/2013 07:14

choc I am the complete opposite, have gone off tea completely and can only drink coffee (decaff of course!)

I am feeling very nauseous too, feeling light-headed alot and very very tired.

I had a really difficult pregnancy with DS, was violently sick for the entire nine months, SPD and polhydramnius so I'm praying this pregnancy will be easier, especially as I now have DS to look after, so can't come home and go straight to bed like I did the last time!

I also had a bad bleed at 6+5 with DS, which the hospital called a 'threatened miscarriage' although a scan at 7+4 showed all was ok. Am only 4+6 now, so pretty nervous about the next few weeks.

DizzyCow63 · 01/08/2013 07:15

Oh and congratulations to all the new BFPs!

BartBaby · 01/08/2013 07:59

Yep im also feeling rather sick today. And very very tired! Doesnt help when ds has me up at 6.30. After ive been up a million times to pee in the night already. I think i will be going to bed at the same time as him before long Grin

Cramps not as bad now. But still sore boobs, dizzy if i stand up too quick. And off food, it just doesnt taste the same. Its good to know that you ate going through the same things though! Grin

Anyone else's tummy feel/look different already? Only 4+2 but i can notice a difference. I cant suck it in like i used to if you know what i mean. I hope its just bloating and it goes away. Although i have heard a lot of women show earlier with their second. As the muscles arent as tight or something. Surely this is too early though! Lol

DizzyCow63 · 01/08/2013 08:20

Bartbaby Yes, know exactly what you mean about tummy looking different! My BF is 11 wks with no 2 and has a wee bump already, whereas she didn't show for ages with no 1, so definitely think you do show much earlier with no 2. My button popped off my work trousers and pinge across the desk at 14 wks with DS, much to my colleagues amusement, goodness knows when I'll need to get maternity trousers with this one! (I got rid of all my maternity/baby stuff after DS as I hadn't anticipated being able to have any more).

BartBaby · 01/08/2013 08:49

Good im glad its not just me then! I hope i do have a propper little bump by 11 weeks. Im going on holiday then, and would rather have a little bump, than people wonder if ive just eaten all the pies if you get what i mean?! Lol Grin

cookielove · 01/08/2013 09:04

Sad I hold some weight on my tummy so I doubt I'll look pregnant for age.

I have been tired but waking early.

Feeling sick if eat to much.

Things taste different.

And chocolate was to sweet Shock

Ninunina · 01/08/2013 09:06

Practically all my friends are pregnant with their second and they all had a visible bump by 6 weeks (looked like a bloated belly). One had a pregnancy bump by 9 weeks. I was massive last time and felt horrible so I'm going to register for pilates classes from today. I suffer from sciatic nerve pain so strengthening the core is very important to avoid further pain.

I wish I was slightly off food Bart. Last time I couldn't stand coffee, tea and chocolate but this time I really feel like coffee and chocolate. I'm taking decaf but I'm worried that there are too many chemicals in it.

Oh. ..I heard about a study on autism that links aspartame taken in pregnancy to autism. Maybe try and avoid it to be safe ladies. I never take artifical sweetners anyway but I thought I'd pass on what I've heard.

BartBaby · 01/08/2013 09:09

Yes cookie ive been off chocolate aswell Shock normally that is my weakness!

Just made my first midwife's appt for 20th august!! Excited!
