Vikkijayne2507 · 18/08/2013 01:12

sorry to hear about tge reaction. I managed to get my full hair re dyed no problems so I guess it's individual. hope you are okay xxx

BoobsTooBig · 18/08/2013 03:56

Lollo-hope you feel better soon Hun that's horrid.

I can't sleep because of a totally unrelated pregnancy thing but its stressed me out soo much I started getting sharp cramping :/
I just found out that one of my close friends who was also one of my bridesmaids and said a speach at our reception. Before the wedding she said some horrible things to one of my husbands Ushers. Really aweful things but worst of all she said she gave our marriage 2years!! I was horrified shocked and fuming. This isn't the first time I've caught this particular friend bitching and I confronted her then, but no 3rd chances that's it I am ending 18 years of friendship tomorrow. I can't have this poisonous bitter person who calls herself my friend in my life anymore especially now as we are trying to start a family. Sorry about the rant just had to get it out.
Not that it's relevant anyway but my DH and I had been together 7 years before we married. So imagin my shock to hear that!

Hope your all feeling well when you read this in the morning.

KittyKK · 18/08/2013 04:06

Boobs - here's a virtual cup of tea to help you relax Brew

To be honest, she sounds like a jealous cow. I wouldn't even bother to confront her, as it will only rile you. In your shoes, I would just withdraw any communication. Life really is too precious to waste it on people who hurt/sabotage you x

NorthKate - maybe you could ask your Dr for an hcg blood test? I've had 2 so far (and going back for another one tomorrow). Certainly helped put my mind to rest whilst waiting for scan!

Just used my last CB digi....thankfully it said 3+, which is what I was hoping/expecting.

Supercalafraga · 18/08/2013 07:13

Lollol87 · 18/08/2013 08:10

Morning ladies,
Ok so you will be pleased to know that this morning I am feeling much better, I showered last night washing my hair four times (and I have long hair!) also rinsed my eyes with eye wash and it did settle down. Thank goodness as I was really starting to panic!
Thank you all for your advise, it's so nice to know that I can come here and get advise and help!
boobs try not to get upset, she does sound mean and jealous and not worth your time of day, kitty is right, just concentrate on your family now and sack her off!!
Hi cannot and super! Welcome to our little hub of crazy madness, hope you find it's as much as a haven as I do! (this is my first also!) Grin

greentshirt · 18/08/2013 08:14

Morning!!

Welcome to all the new ladies!

lollo I was thinking about you when I was going to sleep last night, bet you were so frightened! Glad to hear everything is ok this morn. I want to dye my hair too but im a bit frightened to now! I think I might get it done properly at the hairdressers and have a patch test beforehand, which I wouldnt normally bother with tbh

So I had my night out last night, drank lime and soda and passed it off as vodka lime and soda. There were only 4 of us out and I think my friend suspected, she asked me twice what I was drinking, the 2nd time saying 'there is vodka in that isnt there?' but I brazened it out!! To be honest I was a bit miffed that she questioned me. If I wanted to tell her I would!!!

Boomgoestheweasel · 18/08/2013 08:44

lol oh good, saw your post just as I got in from work last night and actually dreamed about hair dye! Glad it's better today. I'm actually long overdue re-dying mine but I'm now wondering if I'll just leave it (the colour isn't too different to my real hair, it just livens it up a bit). Roots ahoy!

boobs sounds like you're well rid of any friend who would say that about you.

green well done getting away with it (ish). I suppose it's natural for her to be suspicious but she should really have taken your first answer and left it at that! I'm normally a g&t drinker, so am going with soda water with a slice of lime - so far nobody's clocked it, but I did feel bad when my friend kept buying me g&t's the other day and I had to pour them into the flowerbed when nobody was looking Blush

Hello newbies!

Has anyone else got a private scan booked? I've booked one for 8+3, which was more or less when things went wrong last time, but now I'm worried to go in case we get the same news! Maybe I should just leave it until 12 weeks and try to look on the bright side in the meantime?

Ninunina · 18/08/2013 08:45

Glad you're ok this morning Lollo. That sounds like a nasty reaction (though apparently not uncommon). Did the dye burn when you put it on? Highlights may be the way to go during pregnancy since it doesn't penetrate the scalp. I had tried dying my hair during pregnancy last time and the dye burned so much the hair dresser took it off immediately.

Boobs it's always hurtful when you find out that a friend deceived you, but you can't forgive someone 3 times. Good riddance to her!

Green it's hard to fool friends when it comes to drinking. I think many people have guessed I'm pregnant. My mum says that people are going to start asking me soon. She thinks my tummy is looking very pregnant already. It's especially hard to hide where I live since we spend most of the day by the pool or beach and swim suits don't exactly conceal things.

I've been feeling terrible over the last few days. It is like my body read a manual that said I must feel sick as soon as I hit 6 weeks, and sure enough it hit with a bang! I've spent majority of my time either throwing up or doing my best not to throw up. I had a few hours where I didn't feel too bad in the afternoon, but the mornings and evenings are terrible. It feels like I'm stuck on a boat with terrible sea sickness. I was very sick with DD, but I don't remember it feeling so bad. I used to basically feel sick then feel much better. Not this time though.

NorthKate · 18/08/2013 09:13

Morning ladies!

lollo sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction, must have been pretty scary. So glad you are feeling better this morning. I have an appointment to get my hair dyed in a couple of weeks but think I might cancel now. I will just have to embrace the grey!

Thanks KittyKK I think I might do that, I have my appointment with the midwife a week on Tues so will ask her to check my levels too. Think I'm just being silly and paranoid really.

Think I might go for a swim this morning before my energy vanishes!!

Keep Grin everyone!

Lollol87 · 18/08/2013 09:17

ninu poor you, I'm sorry your feeling so rotten!
It didn't hurt when the dye was on, it was only after about 2 hours it started to make my eyes swell up, I was really scared but luckily my partner is so calm and helped me not to get in a tiz, I won't be having it done again though! I know that some ladies don't have any problems at all, and I think I was lucky it wasn't worse, but I would say roots all the way baby!

bunnygoesbang · 18/08/2013 09:27

Hello glad you are better lollo I think we should all be doing patch tests.

Boobs she sounds like a bitter jealous person who doesn't deserve to be in your life.

I have great news tmi alert
I have been to the loo and it was not diarrhoea this is the first time in three weeks yey

I also don't feel that sick I think I just need to eat constantly and sleep loads. Having a two hour nap the last two days and still sleeping at night. Won't be able to do that when I am back at work lol

Vikkijayne2507 · 18/08/2013 10:01

boobs good riddance to her that is not a friend to be that hurtful. I agree with others who say there is jealousy there. You dont need people like that in your life who will only bring you and others down. Hope you feel liberated without that sort of person. Drop communication shell get the message.

Vikkijayne2507 · 18/08/2013 10:02

Oh and hurrah bunny sounds bizzare but we can celebrate random moments like that :)

Nessalina · 18/08/2013 11:29

Morning Smile
Really glad to hear you're better lollo, sounded well scary! You can feel virtuous that you've shown us all the evils of hairdye!! I'm going to be so sad not to get mine done, I'm only 31 and I have a lot of grey Sad Ah well!
Boobs that's awful, there really is nothing like the punch in the stomach you get when you find a 'friend' is not so friendly. I had a real issue with one of my 'friends' when I got engaged - weddings just bring out the worst in people sometimes. I agree with everyone, take the high ground, now you've decided to cut her loose, what's the point in confrontation? Just be polite, civil, if she gets in touch with you, but keep your distance and don't get in touch with her. And don't feel guilty, she's the bad guy here, you need to be able to be calm, cool, and surrounded by those that love you right now, and she is obviously NOT one of them. Flowers

Nessalina · 18/08/2013 11:30

Oh and bunny, I'm with you on the celebration, I woke up to find the opposite problem had resolved itself! Blush yay!

runninggirl85 · 18/08/2013 12:38

haha nessalina me too!!

How attractive are we..

greentshirt · 18/08/2013 13:14

Soooo tired today, been back to bed for an hour already, can see another nap on the cards before bed tonight!

Is anyone else having trouble sleeping? Im ok sleeping but I ping awake much much earlier than usual, I got up at about 7 today which is UNBELIEVABLE for a sunday!

KittyKK · 18/08/2013 13:32

Green - I'm waking up super early too. Mostly for the loo, which is annoying! But I'm also napping for a couple of hours on Sat/Sun afternoons :)

Wish I'd thought of the lime/soda combo. I ordered a cup of tea whilst others were drinking cosmos the other night! Doh...got me lots of "anything you need to tell us" grrrr.

Ladies - earlier I bought the best maternity invention ever. Called a "belly belt kit". Extended my already super tight skinny jeans!!! A worthwhile investment Flowers

greentshirt · 18/08/2013 13:39

I was sick of it by the end of the night kitty, we are all fairly big drinkers, think I had about 6 between 8 and 11! Probably wont be able to face it for weeks now lol

How does the belly belt kit work? My jeans are deffo too tight by the end of the night/after sitting in them for a while, but im obvs no where near needing maternity yet. Dreading this trip to poland at 15 weeks. Am expecting to be at that horrible 'is she fat or is she pregnant' stage where none of my clothes fit but maternity is too big!

KittyKK · 18/08/2013 14:05

Oooooo....the belly belt kit is just some stretchy elastic that bridges the open gap between the button and buttonhole! Simple, but amazing!

It comes with some different colour fabrics to fill the gap between zip.

Went out earlier wearing my size 8 skinny jeans that have been tight for about 6 months lol....it used to be fine as long as I didn't sit down for too long ;) Stupid decision to wear them today as I'm already feeling more bloated.

Quick dash into maternity shop (for some expensive GENIUS elastic) saved the day!

coffeewineandchocolate · 18/08/2013 14:26

Sorry to hear about the hair dye disaster. I had my hair coloured right through my first pregnancy with no problems. I think my hairdresser uses a no peroxide dye or something which has less chance of reacting.

Vikkijayne2507 · 18/08/2013 14:50

im really tired this weekend I could easily nap. im waking up silly o clock still feeling tired but can't sleep. I'm going to call docs tomorrow and get tested for anaemia ive never felt this lethargic need to know how under I am

Trinpy · 18/08/2013 16:21

Vikkijayne I'm exactly the same. It's just getting ridiculous. I have a uni assignment due in in 3 weeks and still haven't written a word. I came home from work the other day and fell asleep on the living room floor because I didn't have the energy to drag myself onto the sofa! I'm worrying about anaemia too. Would actually prefer that to being told its just normal pregnancy tiredness, which everyone else seems to cope with!
