Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had no symptoms at all till six weeks, when constant nausea started. Unfortunately the only thing that helps me is eating rubbish. I havent been physically sick once, so am just piling it all on! Feeling awful today - so fat and bloated. I'm really not going to enjoy the weight gain.

Like you running girl, I'm really tired and have done pretty much no exercise for the sat month. No movement and lots of salty carbs - this poor baby! Really hope I stat to feel better soon so I can get myself back on track.

I realise it sounds so selfish and vain, but I'm really not enjoying it today. The wind and constipation don't add to my attractiveness factor either Blush

Cannotbelieveit · 16/08/2013 19:21

Hi everyone I'm a current poster on MN but have name changed to post this as I don't want anyone to know yet!

Got a BFP today, I am happy however bit of a surprise as I have a DS who is 4 months! Haven't actually told DH yet. AF isn't due til Monday but have felt weird all week and just had a gut feeling. Digi test says conception was 2-3 weeks ago and last cycle puts a due date at 26th April

Eek!

prettyinpink90 · 16/08/2013 19:28

cookie it's a little odd that your nearly weeks and you still haven't even got an appointment, I'd ring your GP/midwife and see what's happening. I saw my doctor on Monday to tell him I'd got my BFP and today I got my appointment to see the midwife in 5 weeks.
definitley unfortunately I'm with you on the windy thing Blush I've found myself having to run back to my desk to sit down before it escapes in the middle of the office, so embarrassing! I work in a male dominated office so I'm sure they'd think it was hilarious rather than being understanding! No constipation though.

prettyinpink90 · 16/08/2013 19:29

Congratulations on your BFP cannotbelieve Smile

cookielove · 16/08/2013 19:32

pretty i know i feel a bit forgotten about, but i was just contacting them about something else to do with the pregnancy and i don't want to end up nagging them. So hopefully something will turn up next week!!

Misty9 · 16/08/2013 19:36

Evening all - wow there's a lot of us!

nina sounds like palpitations probably associated with low blood pressure - the surge of progesterone in early pg causes everything to relax, including our valves! So bp drops. I've been feeling pretty dizzy with it.

Urgh, feeling so bloated and trapped windy today. I used to have ibs until I stopped eating wheat a few years back - this feels like I've had a ton of cake but without the enjoyment! I look about 5 months gone too. Having to lie down as if I stand up it feels like my insides are trying to escape through my chest :(
Also feeling dizzy and nauseous, interspersed with feeling ravenous. The joys of early pg. 6 wks tomorrow and booking in appt is 11/9 when I'll be nearly 10wks.

bunnygoesbang · 16/08/2013 19:48

My gp tried to make my booking in appointment for when i was six weeks and I refused until after my scan.i will be 7 weeks and 3 days when I have it next week

Definitelysometime · 16/08/2013 19:50

Cookie I called Kingston hospital about this as i hadn't heard anything either and am 7+5. They said it was normal and they typically see patients at 10wks. Still, why can't they give us the date a bit earlier?!

ThedementedPenguin · 16/08/2013 19:52

Congrats cantbelieveit wow that was a quick BFP.

Is anyone on here from Northern Ireland?

Your appointments are so different from mine. I want to know when my booking in and scan is, ill probably not hear anything until 9-10 weeks. Seems ages away. Although I'm 7 weeks tomorrow so hopefully ill hear something sooner than I think.

cookielove · 16/08/2013 19:55

Glad to hear i am not the only one Definitely i just want the date Smile

BoobsTooBig · 16/08/2013 19:57

Bunnygoesbang- is that scan you are having private?

Ninunina · 16/08/2013 20:00

Sorry to hear that you're having a tough time dizzy. Hopefully you just got your dates a bit mixed up. Even though you only dtd once, it doesn't mean you conceived on that day. Sperm can live for up to a week, so it sounds very possible.
misty I'm pretty sure it was palpitations and it had happened in my last pregnancy when I was in my 3rd trimester, but I didn't feel so faint last time. I've been feeling quite weak all day, and I also threw up for the first time today. I guess the pregnancy hormones are rising Smile

Evening all!
I made by booking in appt with the doctors today, they don't usually do it before 9 weeks she said, but because I only get the occasional day off in the week (and don't want to give the game away with work!) she booked me in bang on 8 weeks. Exciting! Smile
Boobs & Tea, I'm 4 + 2 and no sickness here either.
Very hungry and boobs are sore, quite bloated, but no ick just yet...

Cannotbelieveit · 16/08/2013 20:17

Clearly just outed myself pretend you didn't see me post under my proper name !!

leanne239 · 16/08/2013 20:37

cannotbelieveit.....pregnancy brain is kicking in already Wink

bunnygoesbang · 16/08/2013 20:41

Boobstoobig I've had my scan already but it was NHS due to my history this was never meant to be and I was about to have a hysterectomy due to my health issues.

Still in shock and looking at the scan photo lol

Cannotbelieveit · 16/08/2013 20:44

Definitely Leanne!!

BoobsTooBig · 16/08/2013 20:57

Bunny- well a massive congratulations to you, I really hope that I get to enjoy that's when I go to my early scan two weeks Monday. I'm just terrified I may not make till then or they won't be able to find anything. I'm a bit of a Wreck this time round. Any slight wet feeling "down there" and I immediately check worryingly. So happy for you Bunny you should get it framed :)
Nessalina- Congratulations on your BFP! Boobs were really tender the past 4 days but today they are not at all!! But nips are still sensitive so clinging onto that for the moment. Did you do a Clear Blue test that tells you how far along you are? I did one this morning at 4+5 and it said 2-3 weeks Pregnant when I think it should say 3+ weeks pregnant :s

prettyinpink90 · 16/08/2013 20:58

Ladies can you advise please?
Can I have my hair highlighted whilst pregnant, I'm going tomorrow and have only just thought about it. I have foils which don't usually touch the scalp but do I need to tell my hairdresser just so she knows? She wasn't the first person I would of told to be honest but thinking of the safety of my baby.

BoobsTooBig · 16/08/2013 21:04

Prettyinpink- highlights are fine during pregnancy but of course it's up to you ultimately. My sister continued whilst she was pregnant and has a beautiful healthy D'S

Fairypants · 16/08/2013 21:04

Boobs- cb dates from conception so 2-3 weeks in cb = 4-5 weeks in regular dating. Your test sounds fine to me.

Fairypants · 16/08/2013 21:07

Pretty- I've heard concern about hair dye from other mums but read in a pregnancy book it's a myth.

ChocChaffinch · 16/08/2013 21:07

evening ladies

Hello new BFP-ers! have you all put your stats onto the April Stats thread? there are loads of us now!

sounds like Im the sickest puker, have had 2 emergency docs appointments as couldn't keep down any fluids/food last week.
1st we tried cyclizine, didn't work, so went to see the head honcho doc and now am trying Maxillon, so far....it's not really working. At work today I needed a sick bucket. Gross!
I have high levels of ketones in my urine, but am not dehydrated, so at the moment he's not worried. But if I get dehydrated, I know I'll end up on a drip again like my last pg. At this point, have to say I wouldn't mind...it's so dreadful being sick 10+ times a day, before and after food, before and after drinks. URGH!

dirtyface · 16/08/2013 21:08

pretty i think you are ok having highlights as it doesnt touch your scalp

my hair is awful, needs dying so badly but i am going to try and wait till after 12 weeks as mine is a home job where i slap it all over so it will touch my scalp :/
