Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
coffeewineandchocolate · 15/08/2013 17:53

bold I think the date it gives you is solely down to the level of hormones in the urine, so later in the day ourafter drinking alot the levels will be lower. if test again with fmu if you want reassurance

Wickedwiggle86 · 15/08/2013 17:57

Bold I did my 2nd clearblue this morning - the one I did yesterday eve said 1-2 which got me really worried - did it again today with FMU and showing 2-3 weeks which is dead on as 5 weeks tomorrow. Don't panic too much :)

boldlittlebird · 15/08/2013 18:19

Thanks ladies Flowers

I will try an FMU test. On the bright side, no more spotting.

Hi all new to this site, but just got my BFP after trying for 5 years. Due 24th April 2014 according to a calculator thingy, I have done 2 tesco's and one clearblue which said 1-2 weeks.

This is baby number 4, and due to trying for 5 years, I am so scared, and still in a state of shock.

Look forward to getting to know you all.

Leanne.

Wickedwiggle86 · 15/08/2013 18:44

Hi Leanne, congratulations! 5 years is a heck of a long time, completely understandable for it not to have sunk in yet :)

Misty9 · 15/08/2013 18:44

Hi all, 5+5 today

downstairs I've got an ectropian cervix too - caused so much stress with my last pg with spotting from 5wks. Thing is they always told me to go in with any spotting, but then were quite dismissive as it was generally down to the ectropian! Confused

Congrats to all the new bfps - July's heat obviously kept a fair few of us indoors Wink

Feeling a bit rubbish today, but shouldn't really complain given what some of you are already going through. Felt dizzy, light headed and hungry most the day - eating seems to stave off the nausea for now. Wasn't particularly nauseous with ds at all (did have horrendous evening heartburn though) so it's new to me. Also, sooo bloated! Can't do up some trousers and the belly left over from ds isn't helping and lots of trapped wind. The joys.

Misty9 · 15/08/2013 18:45

Meant to say, the ectropian cervix is especially common in women who've been on the pill for many years before conceiving. I think it needs to be better publicised, as it's often the cause of spotting.

dirtyface · 15/08/2013 19:00

hi leanne

congrats!

we are due the same day!

leanne239 · 15/08/2013 19:18

thank you all for your kind welcome x

I have polycystic ovaries, and went through hospital tests etc, and got told it was unlikely we would ever have anymore.
so when I did the first test, I threw it in my bag didn't ever read the result. so when I went back in my bag and saw it, I had to do a double take and do another one lol.

I am over the moon but so so anxious x

Definitelysometime · 15/08/2013 19:33

Hi all. Wow, hard to keep up with this thread now we're going at such a pace! Welcome to all the new BFPs - I will have to go and check the stats thread to remind myself of everyone!

I'm another 5ft 10er and struggle for trousers at the best of times. Am a little concerned about a) looking like a monster when heavily pregnant as ill be so huge and b) giving birth to the heaviest baby ever recorded. I was 9lb 10 and DH (now 6'4) was 9lb 5. Ouchy.

leanne239 · 15/08/2013 19:38

bigger babies are easier to deliver....my eldest was 10lb, middle 9lb 3 3/4oz, most painful, and my son was born Christmas day weighing 11lb 4oz, and honestly the smallest was by far the most painful lol

greentshirt · 15/08/2013 19:43

Definitelysometime I absolutely have that fear too. Im frightened my baby will be mainly carried in my bum and my thighs, it wont be a pretty sight! lol

I succumbed and bought 2 pregnancy books today - 'what to expect when you're expecting' and 'your pregnancy week by week'. Not really seen anything I couldnt read online, but im a bookworm by nature so am pleased to have them. The week by week one has some good pics

Tea1Sugar · 15/08/2013 19:59

Hi Leanne we're due date buddies Smile

leanne239 · 15/08/2013 20:03

yey!!!

have any of you been to the doctors yet to confirm it etc?

I still don't believe its real yet xx keep checking my tests lol

patsy375 · 15/08/2013 20:04

Hi Leanne Congratulations on your BFP. Great to have a fellow number 4 expectee!
How old are your others?

EverthingcrossedforApril14 · 15/08/2013 20:09

That is brilliant news bunny and bold glad you got some reassurance, hopefully you will have a scan soon. Was thinking that it is a very different experience in relation to when you have booking and first scans, influenced greatly by geographical location. I contacted a private clinic and they said that they would not scan me until I was 8 weeks and I am having a scan at the hospital at 8 weeks 3 days, so sod that. They said if I wanted an earlier scan I would have to go for a Consultation and the Dr would decide whether or not I got scanned but I would still have to pay the fee whether or not I was scanned, sod that as well!

I was reading on one of the other post about this thing called Nub theory, it suggests that you can tell the gender of the baby at 12 weeks by looking at the angle that this part of its body called the Nub is pointing, it could be interesting when we all get our scan photos.

Welcome also to the new people and congratulations.

6 + 2

leanne239 · 15/08/2013 20:15

bunnygoesbang · 15/08/2013 21:12

Hello go the newbies

I'm still grinning from my scan its real now. I was also lucky that my friend was working today and got to assist on my early scan. It was wonderful to share.

No more spotting and they said is very normal to have it especially brown at this stage.

My oh has announced and put thr scan photo on fb as so many of my friends and family know about the not being able to have children. We have had such a flood and overwhelming support from everyone and have said its early days. It's been awesome to feel the love and know if it goes wrong that I will have all that around me

middleclassdystopia · 15/08/2013 21:25

Hi there i'm 5 weeks tomorrow, this is my third.

To those of you spotting, try not to panic. I bled between 5 and 7 weeks with both previous pregnancies. Mostly brown but sometimes fresh blood as well.

Bodeccia · 15/08/2013 21:27

Ah bunny I'm delighted for you. Its so easy to get bogged down in the panic of things that could go wrong, and its wonderful to see someone revel in the joy of our early stages of pregnancy.

I haven't been quite as bold as your dp and shared the news so publicly yet. The people who know we've been through IVF know the result, but that's all. I just want to get to the scan to see the flashing bean and see how many!

Hi newbies, congrats on all your bfps!

Wish me a good night's sleep, I'm dying for a straight 6 hours even.

bunnygoesbang · 15/08/2013 21:48

Hi bodecia

How wonderful to have ivf work. When's your scan? How do you feel about the possibility if twins?
We only shared once we had our scan if it wasnt for the early scan we would have waited.

Nessalina · 15/08/2013 21:53

Hi all!
Glad to hear all of the spotting issues seem to have been sorted out - really impressed with how on the ball the medics seem to be, you do hear some horror stories! Not much to report here, feeling very symptomless, hoping all is ok!

Nessalina · 15/08/2013 21:54

Time to try my first decaf tea... Hmm Brew

Lollol87 · 15/08/2013 22:07

Hello lady's, I'm new here! Found out that I was pregnant last week and doc confirmed today that I'm five weeks gone with my first, due date 17th April! We had only been trying for two months so I'm a little scared but also extremely excited!
Have had some serious sickness and nausea but I'm learning to deal with that whilst my other half is learning to deal with my crazy roller coaster of emotions! Ha
Is anyone else in the tunbridge wells area?
Loving the fact that there are soo many of us!
