Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
bunnygoesbang · 15/08/2013 12:14

Hi tea1sugar yes that's normal it's all the changes your done stairs goes through expect lots more.
I am refusing to panic I had loads last time I just need to keep telling myself that plus the morning sickness is just vile today so that says that my hormones are normal lol

Ninunina · 15/08/2013 12:34

Sorry to hear your bleeding to bunny! These little beans really keep us on our toes don't they. Good luck for your scan. Hopefully it will help reassure you that all is ok.

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and I know it will be an anxious week since this is when i had a miscarriage in my 1st pregnancy. A part of me wishes I kept my appointment for my scan on Monday instead of moving it to the 28th.

runninggirl85 · 15/08/2013 12:49

pretty So frustrating isn't it. How far do you think? I think i'm 5 or 6 weeks or maybe less. So difficult not knowing.

Are you going to ask for an appointment?

x

Hi prettyinpink90

I am in London but my maiden name is Preston!

Bunny I had brown bleeding with cramps for a couple of days at 6+5 and the EPU told me not to worry unless is was red, heavy with clotting. It has now stopped. I thought I might have overdone it at the gym but the midwife said probably just a coincidence.

Hope everything is OK.

LeeHandy · 15/08/2013 13:15

hi everyone! congratulations to all the new bfps.

I was off MN for a couple of days. My s-i-l had her baby yesterday! We all were sure it was going to be a boy but they had a little girl. Grin

hope all those who are having bleeds are okay. good luck for your scan today bunny

pink am glad your scan went well. i'm a little envious that you got pictures. Smile the NHS doesn't spring for that on early scans. Does anyone know if you can get pictures at all on the NHS or do you need to go private only? My s-i-l got an incredible picture of her peanut sticking her tongue out at 32 weeks. Grin

kittykk, i am going to check out the stores you mentioned. I definitely need maternity trousers very soon. my problem is that i'm tall as well and most stores either carry tall or maternity - why can't they do maternity for tall women?! end of small rant

bunnygoesbang · 15/08/2013 13:30

Thanks for the support I'm doing ok as no new pains.

I got my dd early scan photo all NHS scans you can request a photo from it but you have to pay. It was £3 with my dd but that was 7 years ago

boldlittlebird · 15/08/2013 13:30

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your lovely responses. Flowers

The doctor was an absolute sweetheart, he spent a while talking me through the details of this plus previous pregnancies, and said if the spotting didn't stop he'd refer me for a scan at the EPAU (tho they won't scan before 7 weeks here, so it would be in 5 or so days' time as I'm 6+2).

He said it could be either an implantation bleed, as they're common between 6 and 8 weeks, or it could be a sign of miscarriage - but he thought it looked hopeful because I have no pain or cramping, the flow is very light, and I still have sore boobs. Fingers crossed!

I have also got a referral to the midwife, so all being well should see her next week.

bunny, sorry to hear you're in the same boat as me - but I guess the same applies re implantation bleed and all your symptoms still being in place. They're good signs! Hope you're holding up OK.

bunnygoesbang · 15/08/2013 13:38

Sounds ok then boldbird and has helped me a little. I will let you know how my scan goes.

Bodeccia · 15/08/2013 14:32

Glad things are ok for you bold, thinking of you bunny, hope your scan goes well and the bleeding stops pronto.

lee, I'm in the same boat as you, being a tall one, I take a 34" leg and most pregnancy trousers are 30/32". The only place I saw a pair was new look online, you can buy maternity trousers the length you need, and they're not too expensive. I had a look at long tall sally, I'm not mad about their clothes, but they had some 36" ones there. They're more expensive, and I'd rather try on a pair of trousers that cost £50 rather then leaving them to chance...

I was looking at maternity clothes last night, and I wasn't that inspired (next, department stores like house of fraser, debenhams and john lewis). The only places that I thought had a decent collection (that didn't include too many naff "watch the bump" type slogans - mothercare, I'm looking at you) was H&M and new look. I'm not going to spend too much on maternity clothes, but I'll need things for work. La Redote was good, btw. They had some nice stuff too, but not as large a collection.

I'm suffering from terrible insomnia at the moment. I wake up at 2am and then can't get back to sleep til 5am. Trying to sleep when dd1 has her nap, but she won't settle. Urgh, so tired.

greentshirt · 15/08/2013 14:43

Boddecia you will be fine at your height I would have thought. My inside leg is 36 before adding shoes into the equation so it will be a lot of dresses and tights for me!

New look have the tall length maternity trousers, and I've had a sneaky google and there are other options online. As a tall girl (and I realise that at 5'10 im short compared to some) it's my pet hate having trousers flapping round my ankles!

I'm sure ages ago I saw tall maternity in topshop Oxford circus, it isn't online though so might just have been wishful thinking!

LeeHandy · 15/08/2013 14:53

green, I am probably in the same boat as you because I am 5'11" and I hate the flappy ankles. I am also focusing on dresses but I need at least 1 pair of trousers for work and a pair of jeans.
bodeccia, I had a poke around new look this morning. I will check it out in more detail as well and I have kittykk's store list as well to do.
online window shopping... my all time favorite thing to do.. Grin

greentshirt · 15/08/2013 15:01

I've found my trouser life much easier since I started wearing skinny jeans, they don't need to be as long as bootlegs (which is where I used to really struggle)

We will have to keep each other updated with the good tall stuff! I will need a pair of work trousers and a couple of pairs of jeans too.

When roughly can I expect to have to wear maternity? (how long is a piece of string?!) I'm going to a wedding in Poland at 15 weeks and panicking my usual jeans won't fit then. I'm off to new York at 20 weeks so assuming I'll be in them by then?? I'm tall but most of my height is in my legs, I'm not mega long in the body so can I assume I'll pop out rather than be hidden in my torso?

prettyinpink90 · 15/08/2013 15:15

running the CB digital test said conception was 2-3 weeks ago which would mean I'm around 4-5 weeks pregnant, my GP said im probably around 5 weeks. I can't wait 12 weeks to find out! My GP refered me to a midwife on Monday so just have to wait for an appointment now. How long did it take you to get yours?

BartBaby · 15/08/2013 15:33

I'm at the opposite end to you ladies at only 5'1 so I have the problem that most things are too long! Even with petite's I sometimes have turn my skinny jeans and leggings up at the bottoms. I remember with ds I got some from topshop that I wore loads so will be looking there. Not keen on new looks jeans they never fit right. I'm hoping I will get away with a pair of jeans, a couple of leggings and some tops. Maybe a dress aswell. I've got a couple of big cardys that might get me through the winter. ASOS have some nice stuff in, and lots in the sale at the minute aswell. We're off on holiday in 5 weeks and its so hard to plan what I will need. I don't know what size I will be of if my current summer stuff will still fit. But it will be too late to get new stuff if I leave it much longer as the winter stuff will be coming in. Also what do I wear on the beach? I lost lots of weight and was planning on getting a bikini for the first time since ds was born. But now I just look like I've eaten all the pies! Grin hopefully I will have rounded out a bit by then and actually look pg rather than just fat and bloated. I might just get the bikini now while its in the shop just i case i look half decent enough. And if not at least I can take it back!

greentshirt · 15/08/2013 15:52

How many weeks are you bartbaby? You must be like a little doll at 5'1, jealous!

I'll be 10+3 when we go to Cyprus not sure that many of my holiday clothes will fit! Luckily it's with family in a villa so won't matter if I'm busting out of stuff!

runninggirl85 · 15/08/2013 16:09

pretty the date of my last period was 28th may so they paniced & made me an appointment. I told them I'm not that far along but they kept the app anyway! I said its not strange for me not to have periods but hey !

I did a clear blue and it said 3+ so I guess 5-6 weeks x

bunnygoesbang · 15/08/2013 16:29

Scan went fine baby seen and heartbeat. Waiting on consultant now so will pop back later and see what you are all up to

BartBaby · 15/08/2013 16:33

green I'm 6+2. I will be 11 weeks exactly when we go to Majorca so I'm guessing my shorts probably won't fit!

It's a bit of a pain being so short. An extra couple of inches would be better Grin

Dh and ds just came in from the shop with some lovely flowers for me to help me feel better. Bless them Smile

Glad your scan went ok bunny

dirtyface · 15/08/2013 17:02

hi bunny glad to hear your scan went ok. and bold - hope all is ok for you as well. i think at this early stage bleeding can be quite common. Flowers

has anyone told anyone yet? i was only going to tell dh. but have now told 3 of my best friends as well

and now i feel worried that i have tempted fate :( as couldnt help telling people early on last time too and mc'd

prettyinpink90 · 15/08/2013 17:03

running you could be even further that 5-6 weeks smile
bunny so glad your scan went ok! Bet seeing baby made it feel so real!
bart I'm a shortie too at 5ft1in and find it so hard to find petite clothing as it is. Petite maternity clothes seem non-existent.

LeeHandy · 15/08/2013 17:25

bunny Glad your scan went well. Thanks for the tip about the scan, I'll make sure I ask them next time.

roodles84 · 15/08/2013 17:25

Hi all, another newbie here! I'm at 4+6 today, luckily not too many symptoms yet - slightly tender boobs and feel a bit queasy every now and then.

I'm 5'10 so in the tall camp. I tend to wear low slung trousers, so I'm hoping I can get away with not buying any maternity trousers for a while. However, I do like my skinny tops, so I need to get some baggy/floaty tops to hide the bloated belly/bump!

boldlittlebird · 15/08/2013 17:35

Hurrah for your scan, bunny!

I had calmed down, but just did a digi test and got '2-3 weeks'. I am over 4 weeks since conception, so I am now back in Camp Fear.

I don't think it's going to work. Sad
