hehe jomouse very bizarre maybe pregnancy brain is worrying about sickness. I am an emotional meaa today. been feeling really annoyed and then want to cry. Im guessing it's my hormones mixed with end of holiday blues. Im not a fan of these mood swings

ChocChaffinch · 10/08/2013 20:09

6 people due on April 4th!! busy busy busy Grin

ChocChaffinch · 10/08/2013 20:11

had a major urge for another MacDees after work.. Shock 2 in 2 days OH MY GOD THE CHOLESTEROL

at least they're filet-o-fishes LOL

work colleagues thinking I'm v strange think Ive outed myself

PainAuxRaisins · 10/08/2013 22:32

OMG what is it with the mood swings? I cried at the Disney film Dumbo earlier (that's just plain wrong). I fear I too will have to out myself to the boss this week as I don't think I can hide the tiredness much longer. Very happy to see a lot of others on this thread with similar symptoms at this stage - it makes it slightly more bearable to know we're going through it together.

Ninunina · 10/08/2013 22:42

How are you doing Lee? Have you had any more spotting? Hopefully it's all stopped now!
Its very strange, but I'm getting hunger pangs every day at 11pm. I'm trying to satisfy it with a mug of decaf coffee, but it doesn't usually work and I end up feeling hungry all night. Why is my body doing this to me? It seems very determined to make sure I put on weight (I'm already 1-2kg heavier than 5 weeks ago).

boldlittlebird · 11/08/2013 08:00

ha ha painauxraisins, it's ridiculous isn't it? I cried while watching a weight loss programme yesterday, the bit where someone 'overcame their fears' by whizzing down a zipwire. Why???!

I'm up early because have just acquired new symptom - diarrhoea (sorry for the TMI ladies), which announced itself at 4:30am. Never had an upset stomach in my life, but it seems this is going to be one of my issues!

Grim.

coffeewineandchocolate · 11/08/2013 08:43

hI all. Sorry I've been quiet- had my parents visiting for a week so been entertaining. they left yesterday and I was shattered....

Pain I am off on a/l for another week but plan to tell my manager when I return. He nerds to do a risk assessment but more so because I feel a bit lightheaded still. I figure if anything went wrong I would be telling him that too.

bold I have the opposite problem :-(

bunnygoesbang · 11/08/2013 08:46

Hello I too have diarrhoea Hmm it's been every day since before my period was due so several weeks now. This sickness is off and on and mainly through the night but the dicky tummy is constant. Apparently some women just get it. I was worried that it wasn't healthy but the doctors don't seem concerned and won't let me have Imodium or anything like that.
Feeling super tired and had a mini break down at work on Friday so I have been signed off work.
Third time off this year and I don't do time off but I've had two lots of surgery so had to.
Think it's just the stress of a much wanted pregnancy which has taken us years and surgery to get to.
At least I am feeling positive as everything is progressing as it should and 6 weeks feels like a milestone.
Early scan on Thursday and an appointment straight after with consultant so if everything isn't as it should be I will be treated straight away.
Hope too many aren't getting the sickness and are getting plenty of rest

patsy375 · 11/08/2013 09:25

Hey there!
Congratulations to all you lovely ladies. Hope it's not too late for me to join you.
Im 38 and pg with number 4. Due the 6thApril so
I'm 6
weeks today.
Feel completely rotten and exhausted and have been eating hideous amounts of junk. Didn't feel like this with my others and wondering how I will get through it.
Its been great to read all the posts and realise I'm not alone.

Bodeccia · 11/08/2013 09:51

Hi, can I join? I have just had my BFP this morning, really delighted. We've just done a round of IVF and I was supposed to test tomorrow but did a sneaky one today. I'm not sure how many weeks I am, the IVF messed with your cycle big time, but I know the conception date and from that I'm due on 21st April. This will be dc2, we have dd who is 15 months, also from IVF. We had two embyos put back, so not sure if it will be twins (yet). We're due for an early scan to verify the pregnancy at around 8 weeks, so we'll find out then.

Been feeling really sleepy and I'm totally off coffee, really unlike me!

Jomouse · 11/08/2013 10:06

Congrats Bodeccia!
That's brilliant news...
So keeping things secret didn't go well last night at Birthday meal and drinks. I tried to lie and it all went tits up and I was incredibly unconvincing. My husband tried to explain my odd behaviour and outed me every time. And I got my secret drinks mixed up and drank a vodka line and soda by accident. Just rubbish
So everyone knows :(
Oh well, at least we will have support if anything goes wrong!
Very tired after driving back from London last night, I turn into a pumpkin at 10 these days and got in at 12.30. On the plus side, just woken up! Hope everyone has lovely Sundays

greentshirt · 11/08/2013 10:06

Morning ladies, nothing new to report from me. Still got sore boobs and getting lots of very mild cramps and bloating. I'm a born worrier and at the moment am devoting myself fully to worrying about a mmc or something chemical.

Think am going to have to start on the fybogel or whatever it's called. I'm managing to go every day, which is good, but it's not ready so but painful! Not sure if it's that that's causing the bloating really!

Am having early scan from my friend at 6+4 (by my dates) Which is a week on thurs. hopefully I won't be disappointed

patsy375 · 11/08/2013 10:24

Jomouse it's so hard trying to keep it a secret in those early days especially with friends who know your usual behaviour!
Im off to an outdoor concert this afternoon with friends who will be most suspicious of me volunteering to be designated driver and refusing cigarettes all day.
Think I may be outed before the day is through.
Green maybe just check with your doctor or midwife before starting Fybogel. Preg hormones can play havoc with your bowels and if you're managing once a day then that's not too bad. Pretty sure that bloating is just another one of those joyful early pregnancy symptoms. Grin

greentshirt · 11/08/2013 10:40

Patsy I'm a cocktail lover so I can't even pass off a v+t or g+t without people wondering why I'm not drinking something in a lurid colour or alchopop! We socialise at friends a lot and my DHs parents are big drinkers. I've been getting away with it so far by drinking my usual strawberry daiquiri mix but with no rum! I'm carrying this bloody bottle of rum all over the place with me! No one has noticed and I don't have to make excuses.

What I hate is that people think its acceptable to try and call you out on the excuses, if you wanted to tell them you would so why can't people just leave it!

greentshirt · 11/08/2013 10:43

Another thing I have been wondering about today is dates. If I know both the conception date and my Lmp date then does that change the calculation compared to if I only know the LMP? Am worrying that the scan might be too early, we are only really having it to check everything is ok before we tell his parents (who we are spending a weekend away with, my never ending rum trick won't wash there) and so we can give them a pic.

Fairypants · 11/08/2013 10:51

Congratulations Patsy and Bodeccia!
Nothing new on the symptom front here. We told my sis last night. Well, dd1 burst out with 'mum's pregnant' in the midst of cooking dinner chaos Hmm
We had told them they could tell her but would have preferred to all be sitting round the table for a proper announcement. Oh well, she was delighted which was great after the less than positive response from our dads.

patsy375 · 11/08/2013 11:15

Fairy thank you for the congratulations.
You are actually the first person to say it to me (no one but dh knows) It's made it all seem a bit more real and made me a little tearful!
Green I'm not sure about your dates altering if you know conception date.
Is the 6+4 when you have scan based on your LMP?
If so then I think it will be fine re seeing baby and heartbeat.

greentshirt · 11/08/2013 11:20

Yep 6+4 based on that date, my midwife pal thought it would be fine too. It just seems SO early. I know seeing a heartbeat still doesnt necc mean anything in the grand scheme of things as it will still be early days, but it will be reassuring all the same.

Thank you :)

patsy375 · 11/08/2013 11:25

I had a mc in the past and read everything I could about it afterwards.
Apparently if there's a heartbeat detected at 6 weeks then your risk of mc drops dramatically so it does mean a lot.

greentshirt · 11/08/2013 11:27

Oh even better! Im a bit in love with you now patsy! lol

Enjoy today x

patsy375 · 11/08/2013 11:29

Lol you're welcome.
Have a nice Sunday Smile

Vikkijayne2507 · 11/08/2013 11:37

ive had a upset tummy as well the last week some little cramps and exhaustion. at parents its really hard not saying anything now im back in UK. it also sucks my dad has started on depression medication and signed off for a week from work so im finding it hard to take it all on board whilst keeping quiet. Confused I know it will be ok in the end but its just really right now Hmm

MissYamabuki · 11/08/2013 13:41

Hello ladies! May I join you? BFP on 8th Aug (even though I was actually due tomorrow). Finding it hard not to tell everyone!
No symptoms here other than mildly sore boobs and some dizziness - very different to pregnancy with DD. I'm holding on to this and I've decided that hyperemesis will not strike back am actually petrified Sad. I'm going to the dr's tomorrow to ask for cyclizine as we're going on hols soon. Wish me luck!
Congratulations everyone BTW Flowers

LeeHandy · 11/08/2013 15:14

Congratulations patsy, bodeccia and missyama!

ninu, I had a bit more spotting on Friday but have had none since so I'm hoping it was only a one-off thing.

My early scan is tomorrow and it will be so reassuring and exciting to see a heart-beat and to see if everything is alright. I will be 7+2 tomorrow so my chances are pretty high, I think.
It will make everything so much more real since I haven't had any real symptoms apart from tiredness. I have also been eating everything in sight and almost double my usual portions so I am getting a bit concerned. I can't go on at this rate, I am already tall and a bit heavy, I will end up a proper hulk. Hmm
We're moving home next weekend to our first house and I am so excited about that as well. Grin Spent the morning packing and starting to get our stuff in order.
