So unpleasant!! I don't like toothpaste at the best of times but that was the first time I properly gagged and almost threw up. I've got tooth paste inside my throat and its all tingly Sad

But in the good news status I got another symptom Smile

coffeewineandchocolate · 08/08/2013 08:37

:-) I have the annoying symptom of needing the toilet every 5 minutes! No sickness yet but I didn't get that until 6 weeks last time. Also ridiculously tired and still in complete disbelief it's actually happened!

hey coffee im exactly the same really tired last few days. In loo more than out of it hehe. not great for long car journeys

Trinpy · 08/08/2013 12:14

hi downstairs (and other new people). Quite a few of us are planning on getting early scans. Whenever I tell anyone irl that I'm getting one they look at me like I'm mad - but I'd rather know whether or not the pregnancy's ok now than spend the next 7weeks worrying!

Vikkijayne2507 · 08/08/2013 12:24

I wony be getting a private scan but I am eager to gace a dating scan and at least see its am actual fetus with heartbeat. it doesn't feel real still and o think it will take seeing that to believe it.

bunnygoesbang · 08/08/2013 12:27

I have an early scan next Thursday so a full week to wait and I am going insane.
It's not a private one but due to previous problems I have had so I'm even more anxious. Not sure how I will get through this next week but I have to

cookielove · 08/08/2013 13:13

I've just got back in from the dr's the ball is officially rolling. He said my first appointment with the midwife they'll take bloods and do a dating scan is that at 12 weeks ?

tinkerboosmum · 08/08/2013 16:51

Hi there! Total shock to find out that we are expecting no 3!!! Was considering having a coil fitted but no need now {grin}. Doctor has just told me that EDD will be 6th April so v early days yet. As far as symptoms go, I did think it was odd that my last 'period' only lasted a day and that my boobs have been tingly and sore. Also is anyone else suffering with horrid bloated feeling? It's actually waking me up in the early hours, don't remember this with my DD and DS. I've just turned 37 and it's been 6 years since I was last pregnant so I expect a few changes have taken place! Still feeling slightly numb but also very excited....... {smile}

Hi Ladies, can I join please?

Got a BFP yesterday, I think I am 4+5, my EDD is 13th April. We werent trying but we werent using contraception either, just trying to avoid dangerous times. We've taken some real chances in the last 6 months and last month I didnt feel like we had at all (only dtd twice!) so this is a bit of a surprise!

Im 31 and this will be our first baby and first pregnancy. Am cautiously excited but still in shock I think! My friend is a midwife who looks after ladies with serious abnormalities so im hoping I can pop into her to get an early scan in a couple of weeks just to make sure nothing is amiss.

I feel bloated and getting lots of twinges, got sore boobs too. It feels like that horrible day or 2 before you come on. I love to worry so im checking underwear every time I go to the loo too!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

bunnygoesbang · 08/08/2013 18:41

I need to go bra shopping I think I have gone up a size already lol so that's positive.
How are you coping with the wait?

ChocChaffinch · 08/08/2013 20:33

hello newbies

hi tinkerboo I'm in a similar boat, this will hopefully be my 3rd, with a 5 yr gap from the 2nd.
having vile nausea, really struggled today. Was sick 3 times, am only 6wks. Had hyperemesis with my ds, hope to god I can keep it under some kind of control this time Sad
loving naps on the sofa whilst dc watch a dvd too! am being v antisocial this hol, can't bear the thought of having their friends round with me being slyly sick somewhere..

Ninunina · 09/08/2013 07:02

Welcome Green & Tinker! Hopefully you've both had a good shock to find out you're expecting. In a way you're lucky to have bypassed the TTC phase since it seems to drive a lot of us a bit nutty.
Choc I'm sorry you're feeling so sick. Hoping it won't get much worse for you.
Does anyone believe that you feel sicker with one sex vs. the other? Ppl have said you get sicker with girls than with boys, and if that is true I think I'm having a boy since I'm not half as sick as I was with DD.
Still early days though. I'm 5 weeks today so a lot can still happen.
I POAS this morning after a hallucination yesterday that I thought I saw a tiny spot of something on the toilet paper. The test line is now quite a lot stronger than the control line, so I guess that's an improvement.
Bring on my scan...3 weeks to go!

BartBaby · 09/08/2013 07:48

ninu i had terrible sickness with my DS. Although my friend had bad sickness with her DD, but is currently 28 weeks with DS and has had almost no sickness. So maybe its just me then?! Lol. Ive been feeling increasingly more sick ad the days go on.

What about everyone else on here? Did you have sickness in prev pg's? Was it a boy or a girl?

bunnygoesbang · 09/08/2013 07:57

Awful nights sleep again up at 1:30 being sick and the usual upset tummy this morning. My doctor didn't seem concerned about the upset tummy just said some woman get it. Just need to get trough today at work then it's the weekend. Please don't let it be a sicky day as well

Cloudstar · 09/08/2013 08:15

Sorry about the vomiting ChocChaffinich - poor you.

The sickness is so hard isn't it! Mine started in earnest this week (I am 6w tomorrow). I am hoping it doesn't get too much worse. So far it seems similar to that I had with DS - that started at the same point and lasted till 11.5 weeks, peaking at 9/10 weeks. It wasn't as bad as lots of people's (only a few days of actual toilet hugging), but was still really unpleasant.

Anyone found anything that relieves it?

Tonic water helped me the most with ds. Will be getting some with my shopping this weekend Smile

Trinpy · 09/08/2013 09:49

Luckily no sickness here, and my mum didn't have any with any of her pregnancies so I hope I'll be the same. Completely exhausted though! And I know it's a waste of money but I bought another cb digi and did it this morning at 5+3 - very relieved to see a 3+ result Smile . I mc at 5+3 last time so this is a very positive start to the day.

Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling sicky. I've heard the thing about feeling worse with girl pregnancies than boys. In my very scientific survey of women I know who've been pregnant recently, this is true 80% of the time Grin .

iloveweetos · 09/08/2013 09:51

Im feeling no sickness (fingers crossed) but had really bad sickness with DD so was expecting it. Just tired and sleepy. Feel like i should be on maternity leave lol
