The one where hopefully we are feeling less nauseous and knackered (although we develop hippo hands and feet due to the heat!), we are entering or are in our second trimester (phew!), we continue with 12 week scans and test results (ekkk!), we have 16 week midwife appointments and hear the heartbeat (OMG - aw!), we potentially see the beginnings of bumps and feel the first flutters of movement (wow!) and the 20 week scan for some is just around the corner! Grin

Oh and we try to improve our diets after surviving on one food group during the first trimester!!! Wink

Bring it on thread 7!!!

(pod hope I did you proud)!

Oooh, thanks. Bit cooler than yesterday and Thursday, then. Thank goodness!

lovelilies · 03/08/2013 09:06

tooth was the sleepsuit from h&m? if so we got the same one Grin
On another note, has anyone else been feeling particularly amorous? I can't get enough of dp!!! Blush Grin

BookTart · 03/08/2013 09:18

I wish lovelilies, I'm sleeping 12 hours a day at the mo and I'm at work for the rest of it Grin

enormouse · 03/08/2013 12:08

Reading everyone's news with interest, I'm a bit ambivalent towards birth plans as no one really looked at mine when I was in with DS but I made sure DP had it memorised.

Have been really busy of late, reorganising the house. DS is moving rooms so that the baby can have his and he can have the bigger one. DPs parents are having a clear out so loads of stuff is arriving at ours, including a Thomas the tank engine bed which was made for DP. It's a logistical nightmare and DP won't part with anything. Next week is quite busy and I'm trying to fit in revising for my theory around it all.

Good news, I'm feeling some little pokes from inside and toddlermouse is finally walking completely by himself (at the grand old age of 21 months). I'm so ecstatic about this I feel like going forth into the street and announcing it.

TarkaTheOtter · 03/08/2013 12:11

Oh wow enormouse having all that stuff arriving would drive me crazy.

enjoyingscience · 03/08/2013 12:30

Yay for toddlermouse! That's lovely.

Room moving sounds stressful though.

I'm sure that I felt wriggling last week, but nothing definite since. Can't wait for proper, unambiguous movement!

I am trying to get the house tidy today, but my pelvis is already causing problems and I'm honestly not sure I can manage a hoover. I need to get s physio appointment sorted

enormouse · 03/08/2013 12:39

It's pretty irritating as the room toddlermouse is moving to is the current storage room.

Ouch enjoyingscience is it spd? Just relax and get your DP to do it and you can dictate from the sofa.

Fate shits on me from a great height. Having trouble booking my theory on the dvla ni website. It's not recognising my uk provisional. I'm going to have to ring them or worse, apply for an ni provisional.

Sultanajo · 03/08/2013 12:51

Am well jel tooth! Top wise I think I am now just about sorted. Its just trousers that are the problem - my comfy combats finally got a massive hole in the crotch yesterday - have lived in them since my bfp so gutted they have given up before the colder weather. Ordered some stretchy black trousers from debenhams yesterday so will have to see how they fit when they arrive!

Just found this link on zulily for close caboo.

www.zulily.co.uk/e/close-parent-030813.html?pos=-4

Hope so sultanajo, just going to leave it till Monday.
Disclaimer- I've just noticed my last post is slightly badly written. I don't dislike the northern irish, (love them in fact) but I'm dreading the paperwork etc if I have to get a new provisional. Smile

MrsVDB · 03/08/2013 14:30

Just bought some bibs from funky giraffe bibs. Really cute designs. My fav one is pink with white skull and cross bones on it! Also got some scratch mitts wirh boxing Gloves on. Worth a google. :)

TarkaTheOtter · 03/08/2013 15:18

enormouse have you used zulily before? I saw something on there I like recently but after reading reviews decided against it. Apparently the clothes are very low quality and bad customer services.

fryingpantoface · 03/08/2013 15:32

Hi everyone!

On Thursday I spent over 6 hours at the EPU, I've been heavily bleeding and cramping. They listened to the baby's heartbeat, but they don't know why i'm bleeding. As it's still going, I've been put on bed rest for today and told to take it easy the next couple of days. If i'm still bleeding on Monday i'm to go straight to EPU.

They also discovered I have an under-active thyroid

MrsVDB · 03/08/2013 15:48

Hope your ok frying must be very worrying

Sultanajo · 03/08/2013 16:41

Keeping everything crossed for u frying. Really hope it stops - its so frustrating when they cant figure out why its happening! Thanks

AnotherStitchInTime · 03/08/2013 17:29

Oh frying, that must be very worrying.

If it is any reassurance to you my niece had bleeds all the way through her pregnancy, her daughter is nearly 2 now.

Hopefully you will get a very swift referral to an endocrinologist for the thyroid. The NICE guidance on subclinical hypothyroidism during pregnancy is here, overt hypothyroidism here. The bleeding could possibly be related to the hypothyroidism. Have they started you on levothyroxine while you await a specialist appointment?

BabyshamBambi456 · 03/08/2013 19:34

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a good weekend. We're up to our eyes in good old DIY, well mainly DH is as I am exempt from heavy duties, bless him. Lovelillies yes I am too, DH thinks all his christmasses have come at once Wink
After evryone talking about kiddicare and me not having a clue what it was I decided to google and found there is one in Rotherham which isn't too far from me so we will be having a nosey round it in the coming weeks. We're getting a lot of things from family but we will be buying sling and pram so good to go somehwere with a lot of choice I think.

MrsGSR · 03/08/2013 20:54

Flowers thinking of you frying. My SIL had a bad bleed at 17 weeks, that was 3 months ago and everything is fine. She's had 2 or 3 scans since and baby is perfect.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 03/08/2013 21:04

frying you poor love. Look after yourself, how scary and horrible.

Who was it wanted to know about Kiddicare Croydon? It was ACE - huge, well stocked, tidy, lovely staff, less than half full (I really expected it to be overwhelmingly busy), great cafe, clean loos.
We test drove all the prams (I am not kidding, we insisted on disassembling and reassembling ALL of them too), and really like the Cosatto Giggle 3 in 1 on offer in John Lewis at the mo too EXCEPT that: it only takes a Cosatto car seat, so no ISOFIX, and a few reviews online (poss a bad batch?) said the front wheel sheared off with no warning - this is in amongst 50 great reviews though.

We also liked the Uppababy Vista, but it's heavier and wider.

Why don't they just make one pram? Or have a midwife assign you one? It's SO CONFUSING.

enormouse · 03/08/2013 21:49

Fx for you frying Flowers

I didn't know that tarka, just saw an email from them and thought 'ooh'. But I'll give them a swerve now that I know, so thanks. Smile

humpty yes ikwym. Just the one pram that does everything. I've found deciding on a car easier than choosing a pram.

MrsVDB · 03/08/2013 21:52

Thanks humpty that was me. I assumed all car seats had isofix nowadays. So much to learn!

Toothfairy78 · 03/08/2013 22:25

Aaaaaarrrrgggghhhh! At 18 weeks, I feel like an overinflated dinghy today. Really uncomfortable. Where did this mahoosive bump come from? Like WTF?

In other news, my friend from the US arrived this morning. I was expecting her tomorrow. Guess who's got preggo brain?

And lovelilies cowsuit was indeed from H&M. We went in for maternity wear I was disappointed there wasn't any and was just saying to DH "Nay. Nay and thrice nay...", when he suddenly went "Yay!", pointing at cowsuit.

Fx for frying hope everything is OK.

sultana it's so annoying when a favourite item of clothing finally goes kaput. Can you not patch it?

AnotherStitchInTime · 03/08/2013 23:39

humpty we had a Cosatto Mobi (precursor to the Giggle) for dd1 and dd2 (until 6 months old). Cosatto customer services were great, sent back the seat unit frame after 3 years (mechanism to change seating incline failed), replaced within days. I also bought new strap covers for the car seat which I used for both dd1 and 2 after they went missing, arrived quickly too. The 4 years warranty makes it very attractive. It also worked well with the Lascal buggy board for dd1.

We have a Britax b-agile now which I love, but I will be selling it second hand to get the b-dual as I will need to have a double for dd2 and the new baby.

Sultanajo · 04/08/2013 07:19

humpty we liked the cosatto giggle but I am trying to wrack my brains as to why we chose the uppababy vista instead....

tooth they have effectively gone from perfect to totally wrecked! They are light blue linen, so I would just make a mess of trying to patch up the extensive damage! Sniffle!

Well finished work at 1.30am this morning and now back to it again! 4 hours sleep and sultana dont mix (although guess its a taster of whats to come when little monkey arrives....)

Felt rolling waves of pressure last night in bed and briefly this morning - still trying to decide if it could be bubs moving.... In bed I convinced myself it was - guess will have to see if it happens again.... Am 19 +2...
