The one where hopefully we are feeling less nauseous and knackered (although we develop hippo hands and feet due to the heat!), we are entering or are in our second trimester (phew!), we continue with 12 week scans and test results (ekkk!), we have 16 week midwife appointments and hear the heartbeat (OMG - aw!), we potentially see the beginnings of bumps and feel the first flutters of movement (wow!) and the 20 week scan for some is just around the corner! Grin

Oh and we try to improve our diets after surviving on one food group during the first trimester!!! Wink

Bring it on thread 7!!!

(pod hope I did you proud)!

Naturegirl82 · 25/07/2013 22:01

Congrats extra and mrsr. Very jealous you know what you're both having. I really want to know but I want it to be a surprise! Logical I know!

Sultanajo · 25/07/2013 22:02

Really not sure why I just did this after the day I've had but I just went on the scales! Shock I've put on more weight since bfp than a friend did the whole time she was pg [cry] Confused

Naturegirl82 · 25/07/2013 22:11

My helpful insulting pg app says I've put on 3x the amount I should have by now Sad

Sultanajo · 25/07/2013 22:16

nature! Step away from the scales wishes she could take her own advice! Everyone is different! My friend is super fit and skinny and 4 weeks behind me and I just KNOW everyone is gonna compare us and it will be really obvious I have become a whale!!! Sad

Hugs mrsvdb. My DP's 18 year old niece got accidentally pg when we were trying & I was furious. I felt like she didn't deserve a baby when we had been trying for 6m. I've got over it though & she's due any day now. I can't say I'll be hanging out with her though given I'm twice her age!

Congrats mrsr & a little bit Envy as we're not finding out.

Frizz1986 · 25/07/2013 22:18

nature i am the same about finding out. Everyone i know has had boys and due to dhs boy filled family i predict ours will be too but no doubt i will have everyone telling me that they want me to have a girl (i coudnt care less, as long as its healthy). Knowing what we are having would shut everyone up either way but i really want the surprise!

TobyLerone · 25/07/2013 23:01

Congrats, MrsR :) I am Envy that you are having a boy. Boys are awesome!

MrsRApilot · 25/07/2013 23:45

Thanks ladies

Hehe toby a friend of mine has 2 boys and swears they're the best as 'all you have to do is feed them and they're happy'. Made me giggle especially when I think compare that to my extremely high maintenance daughter.

TobyLerone · 26/07/2013 07:12

My boy is almost 14 and I'd say that's pretty true :o

Whereas I spent half an hour trying to coax 12yo DD out of the world's biggest bitchstrop yesterday. I was largely unsuccessful.

We're off camping for a few days today. I really wish I'd bought my bigger car already! There is soooooo much stuff to take.

fryingpantoface · 26/07/2013 08:04

I can't scroll back up because I'm on my phone, but congratulations on finding out the sex! A girl and a boy, how lovely!

I'm just plodding on. 15 weeks today and our baby moves a lot! It's nice to feel, it's reassuring every time.

3 weeks until my next midwife appointment, 5 until the scan. :)

Penny31 · 26/07/2013 10:44

WOW some of you know the flavour! Congratulations! I have my 20 week scan a week on Mon so will find out then. eeeeeek!

Been travelling with work this week and Im knackered. Currently sat in a hotel room wishing the time away. Trying not to give in to an urge to have a nap when I should be working on my laptop!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 26/07/2013 10:45

MrsV aw, love, that's hard. I know you know you're being a bit irrational, but I am NOT going to tell you you shouldn't - I sobbed over a friend saying she didn't care about the royal baby. FFS, it wasn't my baby - hormones are a bitch. Also, my sister is a bit like this, she seems to think everything's a race (she's younger) and was very Envy that I got married first (I repeat, I am 3 years older).

MrsRA woohoo for that! How lush, now you can buy all the gorgeous baby clothes in the world!

Toby have fun camping, hope 12yo DD doesn't pack her bitchstrop as well...

TarkaTheOtter · 26/07/2013 10:54

Very exciting that some of you know the sex of the baby! I can't decide whether to find out or not. DH wants to but we didn't with DD and I liked it that way.

AnotherStitchInTime · 26/07/2013 10:59

Hi leel, try not to worry too much, by 16 months your ds will be much more mobile and able to climb on and off things, you can get around the lifting part. Can your DP/DH get some paternity leave and tack on a weeks holiday. Anyone else who can visit to help! After 3 weeks you will be in much less discomfort.

Congrats on your girl crunchy, glad you had a good holiday.

Good news book and mrsg on your test results.

Congrats on your boy MrsRA

Sorry to hear of bad days nature and tooth, I always find chocolate helps.

Hope you are managing to enjoy your holiday frog, even with the arguments.

Have a good holiday Toby, hope your journey is ok.

Tired today, came to stay at my Aunt's yesterday. Her house is not toddler proof and dd2 found it hard to settle last night in unfamiliar surroundings. Luckily DH will join us after work tonight so that I not be run ragged chasing dd2 around the place.

Can't wait to feel movement, still sinking in here. Until I saw the scan on Wednesday I wasn't 100% convinced that there was really a baby in there. I heard the heartbeat in the scan as the sonographer put it on to try a calm dd2. I haven't had any symptoms, no sore boobs, maybe because I am still breastfeeding dd2. Nothing like my last two pregnancies, I was sick as a dog.

keskiviikko · 26/07/2013 11:07

I am tempted to find out what Bob is. But there again it doesn't bother me and I think it would be nice to have a surprise. Also not doing pink or pastels it isn't like I have to buy a specific wardrobe for it. My mum has found somewhere that sells unusual colours of baby wool, so she is in her element knitting black and orange and black and red stripey jumpers, a little black cardigan with ears on it and a multi coloured pair of trousers. She was really excited when I showed her the pram we are thinking of buying as she had a pattern and some black and grey wool to knit up a blanket. Good thing Bob is coming in winter and will need to be warm for our trip to northern Finland in February (booked before I got up the duff!)

MrsV it can be a bit irritating when a sibling copies you, especially when it's something as exciting as this. Let's hope she ballons, while you glow your way through this pregnancy.

Toby have fun camping, at least it will be cooler in the tent at night!

sarahleanne · 26/07/2013 16:22

im on the 'not finding out ' team too but I am sooo tempted and you lot are making me worse haha Grin

enormouse · 26/07/2013 16:54

I think I'm for finding out.Smile I'm trying to resist temptation but it's so hard to wait to buy things. I did suggest that we buy things for both genders and return the gender bubs isn't. But have been told that's 'ridiculous' and 'impractical'.

congratulations MrsRA

Also thanks all the well wishers for my driving lesson, you lot are so lovely btw. It went well and he appears not to be a cuntpuffin. I'm quietly optimistic, yet cautious (a bit like the early days of a relationship Grin but with a driving instructor).

I'll need to go back through this thread now and see what's been going on.

Toothfairy78 · 26/07/2013 17:04

Gosh, I'm hoping things have improved since yesterday for you ladies...nature MrsV mrsG

And thank you for the sympathy and hugs. Most definitely appreciated.

Yesterday's debacle has escalated with colleague totally blanking me today. Another colleague reckons it may be a combo of loss of face and having been bollocked by a woman. Pathetic really.

Anyway day was great as I told head of dept I'm preggers. Hugs all round followed by a "you are ONLY going on leave? You're not leaving are you?". Which was nice.

Also nice was one of my littler projects somehow getting into our corporate newsletter. Go meeeeee!!!!

Right, the in laws have arrived to coo and ah at my belly. See you later!

qumquat · 26/07/2013 17:21

Hello everyone. I've been a major lurker but very rarely posted as I'm not sure what to say really! Just wanted to say how lovely it is to hear everyone's news and updates, it's made me feel so much less alone especially through the endless vomiting! Might be able to post a bit more now it's school holidays and I'm not permanently attached to the toilet bowl..,

I'm a definite no to finding out the sex, although for the first time I've been tempted reading this thread! I can't see any practical issues as babygrows are unisex (I assume!), and I don't plan on going down any pink/blue route for the nursery. Mainly if I know I'll be disappointed I only have one name to plan, I love thinking of names!

Am starting to get addicted to eBay looking for bargains. The time runs out on my fave buggy this afternoon, ridiculously excited that I might own a buggy by the end of the day!

MissTink · 26/07/2013 18:53

Hi, new to the site I am due on the 7th jan with my first child. I am super excited about my next scan although they can't fit me in until week 21 which is a little frustrating. Sickness is starting to pass but got a terrible pain on my left side ribs and back has anyone else had this??? X

BuntCadger · 26/07/2013 19:43

Anotherstitch - my boobs haven't been sore either and ok still bfing dd. when I was pg with dd I was still bfing ds2 although only once a day really. I did notice I'd get sore nipples at times.

Off to camp bestival on Thursday! Eep

Naturegirl82 · 27/07/2013 10:01

Hello MissTink.

I actually managed to have a lie in this morning (although dh came to bed at 5 after a night out, woke me up and was snoring like a train so I moved to the spare room), so I'm pleased with that as have been exhausted this week.

So I'm going to be good and do some housework before we go out shopping to look at baby stuff, maternity clothes and buy everything we need for the puppy Grin . I'm surprised I slept at all I'm so excited. This time tomorrow she will be home with us eek! Grin Grin Grin Grin

Hope everyone has a lovely day planned.

Sultanajo · 27/07/2013 10:48

nature omg! Baby stuff AND pupster stuff! Feel like I am going to explode at the cuteness!!! Grin Have a fab time buying all your bits!

Am proud of myself - got up early, bought a bunch of fruit to snack on and took some maternity clothes to the post office to return them. Now however I feel as though I could go back to bed. Mum is popping over in a bit though so nap will have to wait....Grin
