Icing that's what I'm thinking, my feet are that sore from being swollen it now hurts to walk so even if it offers some relief from that its better than nothing!

MightBe unfortunately turned to nothing overnight but hey I had a really good nights sleep!

Aww Totally, good to hear N is okay after dropping your phone, they're such resilient little things, but usually that's me, however as baby less at the moment I drop mine onto my own face!

Ouchie I have a bite on my leg & it's very itchy sore & swollen, I am now sitting with a ice pack on it!

Also very much agree on lack of pro-active baby evicting, I've took the "this baby will come when it feels like it stance" only going for reflexology because the booking of my induction yesterday has panicked me!!

Finally got some sleep last night and recovered my temper.

Thunderstorm came through at 5.20 and J slept through it. Me, dh and CatB did not.

Icing and Phie, I'm still here lurking - 40+3 today. Not posted much as nothing very positive to say.....

Walking, ball bouncing, sex, spicey food - nothing working at all. Infact feel like I'm getting FURTHER from labour - last week had lots of Braxton Hicks and bowel clear out etc, and now nothing at all other than being absolutely exhausted with very fat ankles.

Induction booked for 40+14. Somehow this has made me feel that there is no chance of me having a baby before August. Grump grump...

Phie i forgave you pretty quickly haha i think it was just because im getting the feeling ill be pregnant forever! waiting hello at least the end is in sight even if that means an August baby, were so close to August now, its not too bad

abzs at least J slept trough the storm, could've been awful trying to soothe a scared baby as well as not being able to sleep otherwise!

Stop - you guys are making me blush! It helps that J sleeps alot, and I mean ALOT, during the day so I can do lots of stuff while he's out for the count, DS1 is at school or on playdates or doing his own thing, and DS2 is fairly independent and has a fair number of playdates of his own with his little friends - and as Vinegar pointed out, our lovely nanny is on the scene during the week to help out with the older kids too (especially as I want her to look after J when I go back to work).

Feeling v sad today as is DS1 and DS2's last day at their current school - did the card/gift thing for teachers this morning and almost started crying. Hope the boys will be ok with leaving - DS2 is getting abit nervous about things (keeps asking me if nursery is over for ever, bless him) but DS1 seems to be taking it pretty much in his stride for now...

Evelyn, Abzs - hope the thrush clears up quickly under treatment. Glad you got some sleep - until the storm hit -last night Abzs.

Aw dinky you'll all forget how sad the last day was when they start at the new school and love it!

So sat on the monitor waiting for my first bit of gel to be inserted. If it doesn't work I have to wait 24 hours before they try again! And then another 24 hours until they start the drip, just hope it works!!
Will keep you all updated but the staff here are so lovely an it honestly feels like a little bit of assistance rather than anything overtaking poco and others who are facing induction, I have mostly just been left to my own devices here so far.

Glad all going smoothly and the staff are nice Twirlie - fingers crossed the gel does the trick. I think MrsRoss was being induced and Photographer is being induced too today so looks like its going to be a three way race to see who pops first out of you all...

Fx it works quickly twirlie, I had a pessary induction with ds2 and he arrived about 7 hours later. Enjoy the rest while you can

sunday hope you are feeling ok today, I would have cried all night too but main thing is baby is ok and no harm done. I remember dropping ds1 when he was tiny and I cried for at least an hour!

dinky at making jam! I couldn't be bothered doing proper cooking last so we had burgers and chips for tea, domestic goddess I am not! I did make a salad too though

Evelyn hope you are less sore today. M fed for about 7 hours straight last night and I feel a bit sore again but not agonising so feel I'm turning a corner.

abzs we had unbelievable rain and thunder overnight here, no-one woke up though! Maybe it wasn't as bad here as with you

My dm just left so I'm on my own with M for first time. Boys are at childminder and she's sleeping at the moment so I've had lunch and will get washing sorted next. I do have dentist appt this afternoon though for a filling so fx she is good for that. I remember dinky saying she fed one of her ds in the dentist chair but hoping I won't have to do that

Everyone I know in real life has had their baby. Even those whose Edd was after mine. Sometimes it makes me envious but just have to wait for my little one. Saturday is my edd. Was overdue with ds1 and ds2. So desperate not to go overdue.

Hope those with feeding issues are getting the support and help they need. It can be bloody hard and no one really tells you that. We've had a few bad nights and I think that F has hit her growth spurt as she's feeding a lot and will only settle on me. Have dh home today so feeling bit better for seeing the outside world.

Fingers crossed that the inductions go well and there are some more announcements soon!

I hope there weren't floods again down by you thinking. We definitely had several inches worth in a very short time, about 30 mins and our pond is winter full now. There was one lightening strike quite close to us - the kind that makes you duck. Can't remember the last time it thundered here.

While we're on the subject of the wonderful Dinky, just wanted to thank you for recommending a Babes with Babies. I'm struggling with my outfits at the mo as usually live in dresses but most of them no good for feeding in. Have just got an order delivered after your recommendation. Really happy with it! It's only a plain black dress but will be SO useful and doesn't seem v fiddly unlike some nursing clothes. Can also recommend Seraphine.

Hi all. Just a quickie. Libby Hope Daisy born by elcs this lunchtime. 9lb 8oz! She didn't pop out easily due to size and breech so I'm a bit battered. However, she is really rather lovely which is all that matters! Has so far fed for two hours!!
