Orange. Outrageous that they are observing you at this point in the year! To mk such a comment about circulating in this heat and your pregnant. ARE THEY STUPID?

I'm so glad I'm not teaching. Did one lesson of cover today and spent rest of time doing rewrites of SOW for next year.
I'm fuming for you! In my school ppl are annoyed I haven't been found a fan. Tbh I haven't asked, I'm sure if I would.

OrangeBlossom2 · 22/07/2013 19:57

I have just taken to laughing about it now GT.

Pseudo I meant to say, so glad all is well. Still go back if you are worried again another time though.

And scratch mits, none of my nieces or nephews have ever kept them on, socks work best though thae come off too. We have one pair of scratch mits that came in a multi pack from mothercare so see how they work before buying ones especially. I have also been practising swaddling so baby's hands are trapped mwahahaha.

PseudoBadger · 22/07/2013 20:03

Hayle it has gone so quick so far - but I've hardly had time to think about it this time, and each week goes so fast with DS/work balance anyway.

Thank you all for good thoughts today x

Shirehobbit · 22/07/2013 20:10

orange with some observers you just get the feeling they feel they have to say something that you didn't do to validate their presence.

Flyer747 · 22/07/2013 20:35

So it's a boy.....my girl name is safe! I hope the boys names remain safe for you ladies too Smile

Shootingstarsandcomets · 22/07/2013 20:38

Quite big 8lbs 6oz she was tiny how did she grow him that big?!

Flyer747 · 22/07/2013 20:41

I know shooting you could hardly see her bump...At 40 weeks pregnant she looked like I did at 16 weeks Grin

Natalieand · 22/07/2013 20:46

And now the panic sets in for the hundreds of ppl across the country expecting boys lol

Haylebop12 · 22/07/2013 20:47

Tbh I'm going to highly doubt the royal baby will be called Isaac so u reckon I'm safe anyways....

8lb 6... Wow, well done Kate!

Birth on a Monday, bank holiday?? Haha!

OrangeBlossom2 · 22/07/2013 20:53

Ooh yes a bank holiday every summer sounds like a great idea!

roofio87 · 22/07/2013 20:54

Haha yeah I definitely don't think they'll be calling the royal baby Hunter, so I think we're probably ok!!!Grin

ComtesseDeFrouFrou · 22/07/2013 20:56

Hmm. Have been wavering about our supposedly chosen boy's name and it hadn't occurred to me that the Royals might steal our safe back-ups-slash-middle-names!

Girl's name is safe, another junior member of the royal family has it, so I'm guessing they'd steer clear!

Natalieand · 22/07/2013 20:59

comtesse Kate Middleton has had a boy cx

OrangeBlossom2 · 22/07/2013 21:00

Both our boy names are potential royal type names but George is supposed to be the front runner. I wouldn't mind about sharing middle names.

The bookies will be making a lot of money tonight as everything was expecting a girl.

ComtesseDeFrouFrou · 22/07/2013 21:02

Yes, I saw that Natalie, but our girl's name was never at risk!

Natalieand · 22/07/2013 21:06

Sorry comtesse I read if as if she has a girl your name wouldn't be a risk so thought u hadn't seen the news :) xx

OrangeBlossom2 · 22/07/2013 21:19

Full moon tonight. I have heard there are often more births on a full moon, I wonder how many of ours will arrive on 19th September/18th October.

legallyblond · 22/07/2013 21:24

Hey guys, congrats to Kate! How and when will they announce the name?

Thanks so much for all the support today... It has really helped. Tarlia - I have no other symptoms at all, def no fluid retention (I'm not even slightly swollen) and no protein or headaches, lights, fuzzy feeling etc... I am hoping its just one of those things, but good to know that resting helps blood pressure stay down (on left hand side because of blood flow I guess).. I am thinking of finishing work a week early (ie at 33 weeks not 34..).

Sorry some of your DPs are being a bit disinterested... DH didn't come to any antenatal classes or anything with me and certainly didn't engage in shopping... But all that changed when DD arrived and he's now a stay at home dad!

OrangeBlossom2 · 22/07/2013 21:29

I think an early finish sounds like a good idea legally, especially if you are feeling stressed.

Natalieand · 22/07/2013 21:34

I think your doing well to work to 33 weeks with two babies on board legally what do u do for a living? I left at 34 weeks with dd as I worked on a stroke ward and it was just too physical for me

legallyblond · 22/07/2013 21:38

I'm.... A lawyer! I do quite fiddly stuff (tax and succession planning for big landed estates and trusts) but its not too stressful.....

PseudoBadger · 22/07/2013 21:38

I think that since bp is naturally lower in the second tri anyway, it can only go back up again iyswim. Completely understandable for you to want to finish early legally

legallyblond · 22/07/2013 21:42

Oh and Orange - your school sounds a bit horrid tbh... DH left a school where they were unacceptably "anti men"... The head said to him at one obs "Men don't make good primary school teachers - I try not to hire them". It was easier to leave in the end. And at his former school, they "managed out" countless staff... Not saying you're anywhere near that, just that I know that primary schools can be crap to teachers! Poor you!!

Natalieand · 22/07/2013 21:43

Arghhh someone that I goes to the toddler groups I go to and is friends with ppl I'm friends with just posted a status on Facebook saying 'so (dh's name) and I have for our top 5 names for our baby boy are 'stefan, Elijah, Elliott, Arthur and theo... I won't tell u what we've chosen until he's born ill let u guess until then'

Now I'm freaking out cos I love the name theo and she will deffo have her baby first and if she chooses it I can't have it :-( and I've got to wait till September to find out what she's chosen!

legallyblond · 22/07/2013 21:44

Please don't let them pick Hugo or Ralf...! Not outside the realms of possibility....
