Lie = Your glowing vs Truth = Your sweating, freezing, puking and an emotional basket!

Lie = After the first trimester your ms will disappear vs The truth = It will be there in the second trimester and the third..... and probably after you give birth! Get used to it!

Lie = You don't look even look pregnant vs The truth = whatever, you look pregnant from space!

Lets see what we learn from the second trimester! Grin Wink

Oh what an awful day bubsy and vatta I really don't know what to say. Take care of yourselves

sarahleanne · 01/07/2013 19:30

So sorry vatta and bebsy for your loss, so awful I can't imagine how you are both feeling.

So tired today went for a 2 hour walk and then a 45 minute swim and I am totally done in. Not out of choice by the way, as part of my work shift. I have blisters on my feet .

Everyone keeps asking me when I'm going to go on maternity, I have no idea!! But the way I'm feeling right now, I don't think I'll make it past 6 months haha

MrsVDB · 01/07/2013 19:39

Congrats on the scans everyone. choco that must have been so exciting!!

I take it back about being glad I puked yesterday. Just vommed on a packed rush hour train. Made it to the loo thank goodness. Although I'm sure everyone heard! Then cried because I felt sorry for myself, how embarrassing!! Glad toilet was in my carriage. If not I was contemplating puking in my mulberry!! Bad times!

MrsGSR · 01/07/2013 19:39

So, so sorry vatta and bubsy :(

enormouse · 01/07/2013 19:42

vatta my heart goes out to you. Thinking of you and your partner Flowers

Oh God, I feel awful writing about my positive experiences when others have been through so much. I had my booking appointment and it went well. The midwives remembered me from DS and arranged for the head midwife to do my appointment. She was overjoyed to see DS and he bonded with her almost immediately. he spent most of it showing her all his toys, practically sat on her lap. l got an unexpected scan and saw my little bean. In the end it took about an hour longer than it should have.

Pidgy · 01/07/2013 19:49

Marking my place. You lot move fast!

What a day.

So sorry vatta and bubsy.

I'm so worried this will be my news next Monday. I've got pain in lower stomach. It's where I had my operation so just hoping its still from that, but surely shouldn't hurt over 2 weeks after??

They removed the appendix through key hole surgery, and it specifically states on the NHS website that it isn't appropriate for first trimester. Wish i'd done some research whilst waiting but just felt too ill. would they have even listened? Not sure what to think or why they did that. :-(

Sorry for the depressing post. Just worried.

Percypiglet · 01/07/2013 20:15

Just wanted to add my condolences to Vatta and Bubsy, so sorry that it has ended this way for you both. Take care x

TarkaTheOtter · 01/07/2013 20:23

Oh Vatta so, so sorry for your loss.

I'm in limbo, still bleeding lightly but not getting worse. Scan on Thursday. Trying not to worry.

lovelilies · 01/07/2013 20:25

So sorry vatta and bubsy Sad

TobyLerone · 01/07/2013 20:35

Frog, that's shocking! You can deffo share my hormonal flash mob.

Book, my MW told me that if you have a high risk from the combined test, they'll come back to you within a few days. Otherwise you don't find out for weeks.

Sorry for everyone still feeling shit. I've had the horrible metallic taste back today, and felt a bit sick. Also cannot get rid of this headache :(

TobyLerone · 01/07/2013 20:35

Hope you're ok, Pidgy Flowers

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 01/07/2013 20:36

book so glad your scan went well! Hurrah!

frog that's outrageous. Have you considered going to the patient advocacy service at your local trust? I would be dying of rage by now - I feel for you.

tarka fx for Thursday - hope all is still well then.

I need crossed fingers and hands to hold - scan tomorrow at 2.40 and I am so nervous. I still have some symptoms, but I've convinced myself that I will have bad news. Someone hand me a grip Hmm

TobyLerone · 01/07/2013 20:37

Good luck, Humpty!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 01/07/2013 20:37

pidgy you and I will have to keep each other sane. It's so hard. I really hope your pain is just op related. If it isn't, they wouldn't have let your appendix rupture, no matter the risks. Maternal health has to come first. I'm sure it's just niggles from healing up though.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 01/07/2013 20:38

Thanks toby and hope your headache fucks off to the same place as bitchface. Talking of such, did you call her?

TobyLerone · 01/07/2013 20:52

Calling her tomorrow. Lovely BookTart had a scan at the same hospital today and said the computer system was still down, but Bitchface said it should be up by tomorrow, so I am going to call her then. The lovely lady I spoke to last week said she wasn't in until 12, so I'm going to assume that's every day, give her until 1pm to contact me and then it's showtime :o

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 01/07/2013 21:08

Ah, tomorrow, of course. I have visions of you, a la John Wayne, having a High Noon standoff with her. You will win.

rosalux · 01/07/2013 21:23

Vatta and Busby So very sorry for you both. I can't think of anything else to say that isn't hideously trite.

MrsAVB · 01/07/2013 21:49

vatta lots of love x
There's just no words for this kind of grief... I just hope you and bebsy and your DPs can take time to be rest and look after yourselves.
I feel very blessed to be lucky enough to have got this far and really hope we all have beautiful bouncing babies,
and foo foos that snap back like elastic, supermodel bodies, affordable childcare... Smile
Night all xxx

MrsAVB · 01/07/2013 21:50

humpty
Will be thinking of you tomorrow! FX for a wonderful scan. Hope you sleep ok tonight x

Frizz1986 · 01/07/2013 21:54

Good luck to anyone with scans tomorrow. I hope that the news is good. Will be thinking of you all.
Off to bed now as have a massive headache. Enjoyed some salt and vinegar squares first tho.

MrsGSR · 01/07/2013 22:11

Good luck to all with scans tomorrow!

pidgy my sister had her appendix out with keyhole surgery last year and it still hurt for a month or more after, especially when laughing or coughing. I think a lot of what's on the nhs website relates to guidelines but they take each individual circumstance into account.

Frogcatcher · 01/07/2013 22:18

Thanks everyone - will channel collective hormone rages tmrw. Planning to phone midwife again then if no joy try the supervisor number given for urgent matters. DP said that a colleague of his has a date for their scan in 12 days time & they're a week behind us.

chocoloulou33 · 01/07/2013 22:19

well frizz I hope not lol. Can just imagine this baby with giant winky coming out, how v scary lol. They just said they could see v clearly & I've also googled it & its happened with quite a few people by looks of things. Couple of months to wait til next scan to be sure. My pics were quite blurry as they couldn't actually get baby to keep still. Strange how they could see the 'parts' so clearly lol.

Who was it weeks ago who put all the links on here to the websites where u sign up for freebies or info & stuff? I didn't sign up to a thing as I wanted to wait til after scan x

MrsGSR · 01/07/2013 22:52

I put on all the links at the end of the second thread, I'm on my phone so can't link or redo it unfortunately! It's quite easy to find though :)
