Plus there's always good old lucozade Smile

EeyoreIsh · 02/07/2013 12:25

eugh, lucozade, yuck!

my tastes have changed completely, and I'll eat something for days and then suddenly be unable to bear it! I went off chocolate weeks ago, which is most unlike me. I survived on stir frys until late week, now I can eat them. I was then having oven chips and eggs. Until last night when they made me ill.

I can eat salami, toast and peanut butter right now. a healthy balanced diet Grin

Bearfrills · 02/07/2013 12:32

All I can eat today is goldfish crackers, those cheese flavoured Finz ones from Tesco, but DS has realised we have them and my stocks have suddenly dwindled away to nothing.

Shropshiremummy2b · 02/07/2013 12:33

You're allowed 200 mg and a can of coke is 40 mg so go crazy champagne!

Shropshiremummy2b · 02/07/2013 12:42

Are we allowed salami eeyorish? If so I could murder some chorizo!!

212VIP · 02/07/2013 12:52

Oh my god I feel so shocking today. Feel totally unsafe in charge of two other DC's.

Head spins, sickness, shakes, weakness, utterly awful.
Wasn't like this before.
Am seeing the doctor tomorrow.
It's so hard to feel this rubbish and pretend otherwise.
I feel like I'm going to fall over today :(

Sorry for me post Sad

misskatamari · 02/07/2013 12:56

Awww 212VIP I feel for you! I can't imagine having kids to look after whilst feeling this rough. I hope the doc can help a bit.

Eeyore I'm the same with food - i completely go off foods without rhyme or reason when they were all could stomach the day before. My diet is ridiculous at the moment - thank god for vitamin tablets!

Yes, as champagne said, the NHS does say it's ok to eat cured meats. Some countries say no because of the listeria risk, so it's your call. I try not to eat too much as it's not the healthiest, but it is a great snack for earlier in the day before I feel too sick.

We can add tuna to the list of foods I now can't eat Sad

I'm 9 weeks today so I'm hoping I'll improve on a few weeks....

gnittinggnome · 02/07/2013 13:42

misskatamari oooh, now you've got me thinking about Lucozade!

jazzcat28 · 02/07/2013 14:00

Exciting post arrived today - booking in appt for 24th July! Excited but that's AGES away.. I'll be 9+3 by then. No mention of scan date but guess it'll be 2-3 weeks after then.

rueyrichardson · 02/07/2013 14:01

So luckily I don't have the kind of sick feeling that makes me actually be sick. More the hung over kind that makes me crave carbs and sugary things then salty things and then in the end everything turns my stomach. But still my jeans are tight and I have broken out a larger pair (one size bigger) which are baggy everywhere but the waist. I don't want to obsess with my own weight gain but still want some control. Other than the poor ladies who are obviously losing weight at the mo, does that sound familiar? When does this bloat go away, anyone remember?

tinypolkadot · 02/07/2013 14:42

ruey yes! I have been wearing a size above my usual and they have been very tight on my waist and loose everywhere else. I've bought a fab pair of maternity skinny jeans/jeggings from New Look for £15 and they are sooo comfy! (Although I do have to keep yanking them up!)

shopart123 · 02/07/2013 14:50

Had early scan today, saw my little bean was the most amazing feeling, everything is ok apart from I have a seperation in the sac which may cause further bleeding but nothing to be concerned about. Dates are spot on! They have told me im not gettin a 12 week scan now so not sure what to do regarding that!!!

laura0007 · 02/07/2013 14:53

Shopart did they do the downs screening? My scan next week is too early for that so if I want downs screening I have to have another scan! Wasn't really bothered before but if I get to see baby an extra time it might be worth it! Great news though on your little bean!!Smile

misskatamari · 02/07/2013 15:37

awww shopart im so glad your scan went well! That's a bit rubbish about the 12 week scan though! :(

I've just had my second acupuncture appointment to try and ease my horrible symptoms and it seems to definitely have helped make me feel less dreadful (thus far anyway). I've got another half hour one on Monday so hopefully it will make a difference too. I definitely have a bit more energy, which helps me deal with feeling rough.

I'm sure i've seen it mentioned on here already but can't remember - is anyone thinking of having a private scan? I didn't really know it was an option until i saw people on here talking about them and now im really tempted. I've found a place nearby which charges £95 - which seems about average. I'm 8 and a half weeks and 12 weeks just seems so far away! I don't really have anything to be worried about but with this being my first im just eager to check that everything is going okay.

tinypolkadot · 02/07/2013 15:41

Ah lovely news shopart!

rueyrichardson · 02/07/2013 16:38

Phew tiny! Glad someone else is expanding at a similar rate!

rueyrichardson · 02/07/2013 16:44

And a lovely relief for you shopart. Did they offer you a nuchal translucency test?

shopart123 · 02/07/2013 17:48

They said its too early to offer this and that of I wanted to get the test then it would be between 11.6 and 13 wks so I said I'll be bang on 12 weeks when the scan should take place? She really wasnt up for saying we will get the scan. Unless something happens ie bleed, further pains. So confuzzled!!!

pettyprudence · 02/07/2013 18:04

finally popped into gp surgery today (only saw a receptionist) and they gave me a pregnancy pack and a number to call the hospital antenatal clinic. you have your booking in appt and 12w scan at the same time here. a 2 hour appointment! I wont meet my community mw until im at least 16w, maybe 24w? my scan is on 6 aug and I will be 11+ weeks
anyway my surgery gave me a printed leaflet about ante natal appointments with the wrong number on it. it sent me through to gynaecologicaly who, when I said I would like a booking in appointment for my pregnancy, thought I was trying to book a termination Shock . I will be having very stern words with my surgery tomorrow as that could seriously upset someone Angry

hungry nausea and tiredness have set in today. bang goes the watching what I eat - I want ALL the carbs my eyes can see Grin

212VIP · 02/07/2013 18:16

Day here crying on the sofa when my husband got in from work.
Literally cannot move with awful waves of nausea.
I don't know how to cope with another 9/10 weeks of this.
:( :( :(

212VIP · 02/07/2013 18:16

*sat here, not DAY here.
