Somanychanges · 30/06/2013 13:27

So sorry to hear that namechanging I hope you have the support you need around you.

Bearfrills · 30/06/2013 17:14

So sorry namechanging, I know it's a bit of a cliche saying but my heart really does go out to you. Be kind to yourself x

I've had some spotting today, like discharge rather than blood, and it's sort of a not quite brown-not quite pink-not quite orange colour (hard to describe). I've been a bit bunged up the last few days and then today finally needed to poo (sorry, TMI, right?), anyway strained a bit and think I tore myself a little bit as had some bleeding from that area. The spotting was shortly after this and has continued off and on all day. I'm really hoping that maybe the straining has irritated my cervix or the like and that's what the spotting is from. The other explanation could be that my period would have been due around now and it's common to have spotting when your next post-conception period would have been due.

I'm on a school trip with DS tomorrow so will have to soldier on regardless but I'm so very, very scared. I know it's irrational but all of miscarriages have been in June and now I'm spotting and it's June therefore I must be miscarrying (or so the crazy part of my mind says).

I might ring my GP tomorrow and see if he can fit me in for a scan on Tuesday or Wednesday. Can't stop crying but the positives are that I still feel sick and I have DS and DD to keep me focussed on good things.

Bearfrills · 30/06/2013 17:15

That should say "all of my miscarriages have been in June"

misskatamari · 30/06/2013 17:56

Bear, keeping my fingers crossed that everything is okay for you. It does sound like it could just be normal spotting. I know its very hard not to worry, but feeling sick still is a good sign that all is well.

I hope your GP can help put your mind at rest tomorrow hun.

misskatamari · 30/06/2013 18:11

Bleurgh just been sick for the third time today. I really can't wait for this first trimester to be over!

Does anyone else feel like they're getting ill with chills? I seem to feel like it pretty much every evening - like I'm coming down with something and starting with a temperature. Probably just another lovely hormones side effect!

champagne I'm with you on the boiled sweets. Yesterday it was one of the only things to take that horrible taste out if my mouth, that and Granny Smith apples.

Sassy20 · 30/06/2013 18:31

Namechangingnorma - really sorry to hear your news.

I've been feeling pretty much sick all day - same as it was with my first pregnancy but had forgotten how crap you feel! So for those of you who want lots more children you'll forget this once the baby arrives because I clearly did ! Smile

I've been really tired too - had a nap earlier and still tired. On an early shift at work tomorrow so start at 7 Hmm no idea how I'm going to get up! X

SugarMiceInTheRain · 30/06/2013 18:43

namechangingnorma so sorry. I hope those around you can comfort and support you at this time. For me having supportive friends and family really helped through my MCs.

I was starting to think I was imagining any symptoms and couldn't really be pregnant but this morning (right on cue as the run of our show finished last night) the morning sickness kicked in. Exactly as it did with DS1 & 2 - when I tried to take my folic acid it made me gag and my stomach was just really unsettled and within minutes I was bringing up my breakfast. Feeling constantly slightly queasy. It's so hard not telling everyone when you are feeling at your roughest!

misskatamari · 30/06/2013 19:33

Awe sugarmice, sorry you're starting to feel more rough - atleast the show has finished so you might get a bit more rest now Smile

I've read that taking vitamins at night can help with sickness (or more that taking them in the morning can make it worse). To be honest I've started taking mine at night with tea and I still feel gross all the time, but you never know it might help with yours.

Bearfrills · 30/06/2013 22:33

Just went to make DS packed lunch for tomorrow and almost vommed all over the kitchen at the smell of the bread and sight of the cheese. I have never been so happy to feel sick as a dog.

Have been to the loo too and I'm back to clear discharge.

Fingers crossed, tightly crossed, nugget seems to be hanging in there. Definitely a boy, DS used to frighten me with regular episodes of bleeding right the way through!

I will be shovelling dried apricots down ny neck every day from now on though to guard against any future ... ahem ... straining incidents.

Thisisfreakingmeout · 30/06/2013 23:07

I have still got away without real sickness. I am feeling very lucky.

All I have is a very quick "totally full- desperately starving " cycle of about an hour. My sweet tooth has receded and salty snacks are my weakness.

Good luck to those struggling to eat. Here's hoping it is strictly 1st trimester and you will be free soon.

Somanychanges · 30/06/2013 23:32

Bear I haven't even made my children's lunches, which like you I usually do the night before. I know I will regret it in the morning but right now I cannot bare to be around food. I only managed cornflakes for dinner and have hardly eaten all day so I am very hungry Sad

Going to go to sleep now and hope to feel better after some sleep. Night all.

Bearfrills · 01/07/2013 07:35

Woke uo this morning and I feel incredibly sick, like it's only going to be a matter of time until I am actually sick. No exaggeration, I am literally 100% more nauseous than yesterday, like my symptoms have escalated overnight. Struggling to eat some Shreddies right now and then ringing my GP about that referral to EPAU.

laura0007 · 01/07/2013 07:41

Sorry to hear some of you are feeling so sick. Luckily I appear to have missed that completely and today I am 9 weeks pregnant! Getting closer to that scan date!

jazzcat28 · 01/07/2013 08:42

My boobs aren't as sore anymore - apart from having grown a size they are almost back to normal. That combined with the lack of sickness has of course got my mind filled with all sorts of negatives. Did another cheapie test today and the line is very dark and appeared even before the control line.

Really hope I get my booking in appt soon. Having had a friend who lost hers before 12wk scan last month I'm now paranoid.

6+2 today
