omama I am just so sorry! Thats just awful - even worse with them making you wait two weeks.....My thoughts are very much with you. Thanks

Sultanajo · 21/06/2013 14:31

Never like posting my good news when someone else has just received such horrible news, but scan went well this morning thankfully! Smile The bad news from last time has been replaced by good this time. Phew! They bumped me forward so am 13 weeks today. penny I thought of you as they made me cough to get the little monkey to wriggle around! Scared the life out of me as the last two scans it has been really active so was filled with doom until it kicked out a leg! So unbelievably relieved! Grin Next scan not until 9th August. Feels like a long way away!

Sultanajo · 21/06/2013 14:34

yorkie how frustrating you are still waiting on scan dates!!!

Frizz feel for you feeling so rough. Not nice!

humpty I can empathise with the recklessness of your breakfast change and feeling shit after. Did that last night when I really knew better! Only myself to blame!!!Wink

MrsAVB · 21/06/2013 14:41

so sorry omama xxx sultana yay for a good scan! mine was perfect. have also been bumped forward, edd now 01/01! have a good day all x

Sultanajo · 21/06/2013 14:56

Yeay mrsavb! So pleased for you! Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 21/06/2013 15:03

sultana and MrsAVB WoooHOOOO for perfect scans! That is ace news! Also, MrsAVB, you are now going to be a New Year's Day baby (mother)! How cool is that? My loveliest aunt is a NYD birthday.

extracrunchy · 21/06/2013 15:06

Brilliant news, Sultana and MrsA! Smile

Penny31 · 21/06/2013 15:26

Excellent news sultana and mrsa.

All the good people are born at new year, I should know ;)

sultana I also had to cough! But it didn't appear to make a difference, lazy little thing. Sonographer didn't seem worried though.

Frizz1986 · 21/06/2013 15:27

Congrats on e

Sultanajo · 21/06/2013 16:21

Thanks ladies!

penny the leg kick seemed like a token gesture and I had to cough several times to get it. I expect the ton of coughing I did this morning when my water went down the wrong way, followed by the dry heaving, probably properly disturbed it, so by the time I had the scan it needed a nap! Grin

Frizz1986 · 21/06/2013 16:24

Stupid phone posting as I type!

Congrats sultana and mrsa

Unfortunately no chance of a sick day for me. My boss finishes today for a week and as I cover all the invoicing while she is off (i am still in training) I need to be here to make sure we are up to date and for hand over.
Then next week I am in charge of it all! Holy crap. Means if i feel horrific next week I am just gonna have to power thru!

Sultanajo · 21/06/2013 16:34

frizz that sucks! There is nothing worse than knowing you dont have the option of going sick if you need to. I am in a similar position for July and it makes me nervous, - got a lot of travelling with work coming up in July also which I am dreading....just praying we start to feel better soon! Thinking of you frizz! Sad

extracrunchy · 21/06/2013 16:45

Is anyone else getting really crippling headaches?? Not sure if it's pregnancy related. Feels like early stages of migraine and been hanging around since Tuesday! Starting to get me down...

MrsVDB · 21/06/2013 16:50

Congratulations sultana and mrsavb it must be such a relief!

So when I initially went to the doctors I got given blood test forms, so went and got my bloods done at hospital now have to go to doctors to pick up results prior to booking in apt tomorrow. Is this normal? I thought they normally arranged bloods at booking in?

sarahleanne · 21/06/2013 16:55

Currently sat on wet grass at my sons football practise , well that's one step closer to getting piles haha .

Really sorry to hear your news omama

Congrats to all if you who have had positive scans today, woooo!!

I have stopped bleeding ( for the minute) I had one spot of blood this morning but apart from that, nothing more.
Im staying positive as the doctor said the fact I had seen a heartbeat at 10 weeks is great and it's really rare to have a miscarriage after that, plus the fact I blead with both of my previous pregnancies. Docs told me not to worry to much although she did say how hard it is to stay calm. No more cramps either.

Cheese and potato pie for tea, it's my new craving! Shame my cravings not salad lol. Totally gone off chocolate and I'm normally such a bugger for eating crap. I went off it with ds aswell so I reckon this ones a boy ( fingers crossed ) :)

Sultanajo · 21/06/2013 17:23

extra have had a few headaches, but not had one for a while. They can be a symptom of pregnancy apparently but if they are persistent perhaps worth getting advice from your gp or midwife?

mrsv it seems to be different in different areas. Sounds like you are having to do a lot of running around!!!

sarahL Lol - wet grass and piles! Grin Thats great your doc has given you reassurance and your bleeding has stopped! Hurray! Hmmm cheese and potato pie sounds interesting....Smile

extracrunchy · 21/06/2013 17:25

Cheese and potato pie sounds bloody amazing...

Frizz1986 · 21/06/2013 17:46

Ill be thinking of you too sultana
At least next week should go quickly as it will be busy and then my scan is 1st july so hopefully it will just make the scan arrive faster. Can't wait to hit the 11 week mark!

curlywurlyllass · 21/06/2013 18:35

omama thinking of you, so sorry to hear your sad news x

sultana and mrsavb congratulations on your scans :)

Im here for a grumble :( booking in today and midwife was lovely, on her second try to get blood out of a stone me the fire alarm went off so my vein gave up its dribble. after an hours wait in the sun she got the head midwife to butcher my other arm so im sporting some nice bruises :)
But im most gutted i wont b allowed any possibility of a birthing pool coz im so fat bmi 38 :'(
so just a room and a bed for me when the time comes -_-
Wish i was slimmer to get a bit of choice
Sorry needed to vent!

hope you all have a nice weekend

MrsVDB · 21/06/2013 18:52

curly sorry to hear of your rubbish day. I have a high bmi too and also want a water birth, did they say what the cut off is? This morning my bmi was bang on 35 and got my booking in tomorrow

chocoholicalcoholic · 21/06/2013 18:55

Cheese and potato pie sounds delicious mmm mmm save some for us! Glad you're staying positive sarah

extra I've been getting bad headaches that quickly develop into migraines. The only way they go is by having some paracetamol and sleeping them off - not always convenient to have a kip halfway through the day! They are indeed a pregnancy symptom but if you're worried ask you're midwife. Are you drinking enough? I think lack of fluid contributes to mine sometimes, along with the crazy hormones going on inside. All good fun innit!

So glad for the happy scans! Very exciting! I can't wait for mine now, 4 days to go eeeeeek!

omama I'm so so sorry to hear your sad news. Please look after yourself. Sending a virtual hug x x

extracrunchy · 21/06/2013 19:05

Choco exactly. Thing is with DS (who is also charming but loud) it's impossible to nap. I'm probably not drinking anywhere near enough so will work on that!

I'm having cheesy mash for tea I think...

Percypiglet · 21/06/2013 20:17

Omama, so sorry for your sad news.

People, I need advice. How do you tell someone you love dearly that you are pregnant when they have just lost their very much wanted baby due to horrific circumstances? Any ideas welcome. I just don't want to upset them given the trauma they are going through... but clearly at 10 weeks I can't hide it for too much longer.

sarahleanne · 21/06/2013 21:00

Just been toilet ( sorry tmi) and it looks like I jinxed myself earlier , spotting bright red blood now, great. It was pinkish mostly the other day and now red. Dammit!!!!

LittlePeaPod · 21/06/2013 21:10

Omama just read your update. I am so sorry you are going through this. Flowers
