New thread as we appear to be talking a fair bit!

Lets hope we've all given birth by the end of this one :-)

Good luck Happy! And am feeling very sorry for everyone else being teased by pre-labour!

E got weighed this morning - put on 13.5oz in a week so more than regained her birthweight. Which means I have official go-ahead to leave her sleeping at night. Hurrah. Hoping for a few longer stretches of sleep now.

DS is still being a handful though has been slightly better today. It is tiring for sure. Thanks for all the tips everyone. I think I'd pretty much done most of the suggestions I guess we just have to wait for things to settle down. I think when you're tired it is just so much worse, and dh is behind with work, and tired too, and seemed to be blaming me for not entertaining ds sufficiently, which didn't make me feel great. Not sure if that was how he meant it but still...

And have just realised it's only just over 8 weeks till we move back to England. Slightly panicky and sad. I'm hoping we have some time to enjoy our last weeks here as I'm not sure when we'll ever come back.

MadameJ · 22/06/2013 03:19

Well I think im in labour ladies, being having contractions now since about 12 (and boy had I forgot what they r like) will keep you updated!!

SunnyL · 22/06/2013 03:41

Oh good for you ladies having contractions. Its been a bit of a new baby desert the last couple of days. Looking forward to hearing new names and labour stories.

Welcome home Steff - your new one sounds rather perfect. Wake them up to feed???!

AlohaMama · 22/06/2013 03:52

Good luck madame. Hopefully you will start the ball rolling again for everyone!

Good luck Madame! Hope it goes well :) I'm jealous too. Been awake most of the night again for no good reason. Fecking sick of it. Either let's be awake because there's a baby here/on the way, or sodding well let me sleep. Still, at least I'm less keen for her to arrive today - too tired for it.

MrsBri · 22/06/2013 07:27

Good luck Sunny and Madame. Very jealous here as Baby B is showing no sign of exiting at all :-/

Wish I could stop feeling sick just for one day if he's not bothering to come out though. Sigh.

my oh lived in Australia and came back the summer he was 10, that summer tgeybdid all the things that were 'sightseer

ginauk84 · 22/06/2013 08:20

Fab stuff with the contractions hope they carry on for you. We had a contraction free night last night so got a good nights sleep, quite happy for things to kick off again now am rested & hoping they sign me off back to MLU today and we will be well away lol.

AmIGoingMad · 22/06/2013 08:46

Good luck happy and Madame!Smile

Welcome home stef! I think you named your son well as ours was just the same- crazy birth but so chilled and great at sleeping straightaway! Although we did end up ff so that might have eased my view of the sleep thing as DH did every other feed!Smile

I'm still in the fed up camp! Woke up around 3 to go to the loo-again- and then when trying to get bk to sleep I had 2 period type cramps in lower stomach. Just as I was thinking ' oo could it be?' Nothing else happens and still hasn't!

Hope you have better days today sunny and pinkapples!

learnermummy · 22/06/2013 08:57

Nothing here either but had a good night out and a good nights sleep so can't complain Smile.

Good luck to happy & Madame. Glad u made it home steffanoid.

MrsBri · 22/06/2013 09:10

AmI, I get BH after every loo trip. It's frustrating!

I've just made a lemon drizzle cake to kill a bit of time. Helps that it tastes amazing! :-) DH loves it!

A bit crampy now too. No doubt it's nothing!

Sorry for all the ladies feeling frustrated Hmm it won't be long now June's nearly over Grin

Theiah must have know mummy was tired last night as she fed twice and slept for 4 hours in between each so we have a happy mummy today!

Good luck today ladies maybe have some more births

pinkbear82 · 22/06/2013 11:08

ooo ladies waiting to hear some arrivals... kinda glad I ended up being induced and didn't have the waiting game - you have my sympathies.

I think violet is getting too long for her tiny baby sleep suits but the next
size up is massive everywhere else on her Confused mind you her hands tucking up inside the arms means her hands are actually warm!

weekend with 3 children 4, if we include dp going ok so far. dsds still don't quite get that at 16 days old their new sister can't really do much!

SunnyL · 22/06/2013 11:10

I also had a bit of a magic baby last night. After a monster day yesterday where she just wouldn't leave me alone she slept for 4 hours straight then 2 and another 2 which would have been longer if it wasn't for postman ringing the doorbell. Mind you that was to deliver another batch of parcels of lovely outfits for our lovely girl. Taking photos of her in them and posting them on Facebook until we get thank you cards sorted out seems to be a popular choice with folks.

pinkapples · 22/06/2013 11:27

How do I get on the Facebook group? Would love to see all these little beauties

MrsBri · 22/06/2013 11:46

Pink, PM me your name and the email address you use for Facebook and I'll add you. :-)

Bouncing on ball watching the lions now. Am hoping the bouncing and excitement might combine to some movement! Then I start panicking about actually giving birth and stop bouncing quite do vigorously!Hmm

AlohaMama · 22/06/2013 12:12

Steff, yes to some extent. There are some touristy things we never got to do but now aren't that bothered about. We'd rather go back to our favourite places again. Once our stuff gets shipped we'll have 3n/2d in Waikiki before we fly so that will be like a little holiday at the end if we're not running round doing last minute errands

Pink bear, isn't it scary how fast they grow? They end up getting through each size in weeks! No wonder some people say they end up with clothes that never get worn! So far E has worn each newborn onesie at least once so at least I can justify that I haven't wasted money. so far

MrsBri · 22/06/2013 12:31

Ha ha, AmI! I keep having a bit of panic about birth, even though I'm so uncomfortable that I really need baby to exit.

I can't close my legs when seated any more. Nice.

Had a surge of energy / enthusiasm this morning, so I've done some cleaning as well as making the cake. I'm making DH sort some of his shit out too. It's good prep for a child having him around :-/

pinkapples · 22/06/2013 12:56

Thanks mrsbri just added some photos :-)

rrreow · 22/06/2013 13:22

About to have bra fitting but DS wasn't interested in left boobs after he was done with right, so my left is about twice the size

rrreow · 22/06/2013 13:32

Also after talking about DS1 coping so well during the day, he's been having serious meltdowns at night. Waking up crying inconsolably, really worried that we're going away or not there. Feel really sorry for him.

AmIGoingMad · 22/06/2013 14:15

As poor DS rreow! It must be really hard for them to adjust - dreading that with ours to be honest.

Forgot to say that yesterday evening was eventful- bathtime for DS and he did huge poo in bath, then when he was stood on bathmat as we cleared it, he peed in mat. I kind of thought my waters should've gone to make it a hat trick!

Baby has been quiet today but I've been really busy pottering so I'm going to lie down now to try to concentrate on movements.
