New thread as we appear to be talking a fair bit!

Lets hope we've all given birth by the end of this one :-)

Sorry mrs bri :( I am also about to have breakfast. And in breaking news, I have been able to shower, cleanse tone and moisturise this morning. I feel like a new woman...and I was able to walk into town for an hour while DH looked after baby yesterday. Is it wrong that it made me happy inside when I returned and I asked him how it had been and dh's response was 'he's been a nightmare'. He hasn't had to cope with him alone up to this point, so hopefully that hour has helped him to see what it is actuall like...

Having breakfast still pregnant here too! Today I'm 39+3 which is the day I was induced on DS but my blood pressure is behaving this time so I should definitely be happy that I'm still pregnant! Just getting fed up of the waiting and unknown that's all!

Well done maw! Smile And I do think that it does put things into perspective a bit that first time that daddy and little one get some one on one time. That hour just to be also does you the works of good- even though you feel like you've got a limb missing!

peppinagiro · 21/06/2013 09:07

Still pregnant here too :( I genuinely wake up every morning with a sinking feeling when I realise that another night has passed with no end in sight. 39+3 here too. I know it's far too early to give up hope and I haven't even reached my EDD yet, but I do genuinely now feel like it's not going to happen and I'm certain to be here at 40+14 fending off drips :(

MrsBri · 21/06/2013 09:10

That's a good lesson for your DH, Maw :-)

A bit of TMI here...the pressure I've got down below is immense. I now can't shut my legs. Ladylike :-/

I need to reach baby how to open the exit now he's found it!

It's good your blood pressure is behaving, AmI.

Shame we are all still pregnant though!

Another night full of contractions and now theyve stopped! Started at midnight and were every 3-4mins for 30-40seconds, they stopped for a bit then started every 5 minutes lasting for about 50-60seconds. At 6am they had stopped so I went for some sleep, not had any more am shattered and really painful pressure low down but no more contractions - grrrr! Why does she keep teasing us!

Hawkmoth · 21/06/2013 09:15

Still pregnant here too. Also finding it very difficult to imagine anything happening spontaneously. I don't feel any different and I'm just accepting the hours of BH every day as part of my new, crappy, routine.

My sister is visiting this weekend, was sure I'd have birthed by now.

MadameJ · 21/06/2013 09:43

Yup still pregnant here as well (due tomorrow), had absolutly no sleep due to lots of things and can definatly relate to the pressure down below. Its my bfswedding tomorrow so I hope baby doesnt decide to make its grand entrance whilst we are in church although im also dreading having to sit for long periods of time (sorry for all the moaning!!)

Babybeann · 21/06/2013 09:46

still pregnant here too :( im so grumpy. i want to sleep and watch dvds all day but have ds to look after. anyone eles find cbeebies a life saver? feel guilty hes watching it so much but wont be foe long and weekends are always packed full of things for him to do.

i saw my big nan yesterday shes 93 and she said 'why havent you just had that baby already' my response
'sorry nan' haha bless her.

noooo ran out of tea bags!!! day just got worse :(

peppinagiro · 21/06/2013 09:55

Ugh, poor you babybeann! At least i don't have another DC to look after. But i do have a backlog of relatives who have left me voicemails checking up on me, and can't avoid calling them back any longer. So an afternoon of calling each in turn and trying not to tell any of them to FO. I had a bit of a hormonal strop last night after two more of these messages and got DH to call Sky and have the voicemail on our landline deactivated. HA! That'll teach them.

peppinagiro · 21/06/2013 09:56

And sorry to those of you also still suffering - hope the babies get a move on soon (tho maybe not at the wedding ceremony...)

BumbleBee2011 · 21/06/2013 10:00

Hello ladies, long time no see - still pregnant here (39+5), just spotted the thread and thought I'd see if anyone else is also waking up annoyed at still being pregnant - quite reassuring to see there is!

The irony of course being that the moment the baby's born you wish you'd had one more proper night's sleep Grin

Thought I was getting somewhere the other night when BH was keeping me awake, but it's all calmed down since. They do like to tease don't they!

Yesterday we received the parts to turn DD's pram into a double pram (awesome deal on eBay, woohoo!), so now there's a double pram parked in the kitchen just mocking me. Grrr.

MrsBri · 21/06/2013 10:01

That's funny, giro! Thankfully people aren't ringing me to ask. I do get quite a few texts / messages on Facebook though, despite having clearly told people we will announce it, so no announcement = no baby.

I hate having to deal with others' excitement. :-/

peppinagiro · 21/06/2013 10:26

Oh yes, the FB messages are the worst! I got one saying 'have you popped yet?', and when I replied no, got 'But why not? I thought she was due in June?'. I replied 'IT'S STILL F JUNE'. Possibly not the most diplomatic reply I could have found, but hopefully it's put a few others off asking me the same thing ;)

And bumblebee, I know what you mean about the pram! Our bouncy chair is sitting emptily opposite the sofa watching me.

learnermummy · 21/06/2013 10:31

40 + 2 today and still pregnant. Off out to dinner with PTA tonight though so baby can stay put a little longer!

curiousgeorgie · 21/06/2013 10:38

Yes, still pregnant here too and my DD had the worst night ever Hmm

She was so hot, wouldn't go to bed at bedtime, stayed up and crashed out finally at 12.30, only to wake up at 2 throwing up, finally got her to sleep in my bed at 5... Then she woke up at 6 and has been awake clinging to me ever since. For a girl that has slept 13 hours a night since about 2/3 months old it has been a shock to my poor pregnant system and I'm shattered!!

DH also seems to have some kind of bug so hoping that it doesn't get me next!

Bright side though, Only 4 days till my c section!!! Grin

curiousgeorgie · 21/06/2013 10:39

And Kim Kardashian has named her baby North West.

That's hilarious Wink

learnermummy · 21/06/2013 10:42

North West Shock - wasn't on my list....

ginauk84 · 21/06/2013 10:53

MW said sounds like I am in prelabour, I didn't even know there was such a thing!

m.birth.com.au/Physical-signs-of-prelabour/Differences-between-prelabour-contractions-and-first-stage-labour#A2H

Growth scan booked for tomorrow but they won't allow me to deliver at MLU until am signed off okay from that, so hoping nothing happens tonight as would have to go to hospital an hour away. Be tempted to stay at home and then be too late to get to hospital lol!

MrsBri · 21/06/2013 11:10

Damn! North West, you say? Looks like back to the drawing board for us, ha ha!!

OP posts:
MrsBri · 21/06/2013 11:16

Ooh, thanks for that Gina. Looks like I'm having pre-labour signs too. I have dull cramps in my thighs, lower back and lower abdomen. Usually in the evening.

That is interesting to know. Doesn't help with my impatience though!

OP posts:
Babybeann · 21/06/2013 11:22

north west!?!? how strange. each to there own i guess.

curious- poor you. i know what those nights are like. ds was also very hot last night and we had to take his sleeping bag off, hes never slept without one before so que nightmare night of crying and messing around in his cot!! he passed out at 11.30.in the end.

i am dying to use my double pram which is also looking at me in the kitchen.

BumbleBee2011 · 21/06/2013 11:58

Pepp you FB response made me lol Grin

Ppl haven't been too annoying this time, but I am prepared to ignore the same individuals when they start pestering (who incidentally are always mothers themselves and should bloody well know better! Hmm)

Curious that sounds awful for you :( Hope it's a quick bug and everything settles down again for you. Our DD was waking quite a bit last week, possibly due to a growth spurt, possibly the weather, but seems to have settled down again thank goodness.

bunglecat77 · 21/06/2013 12:16

I'm another one in the still pregnant gang. Due date tomorrow - so same as you, MadameJ

I'm taking it in my stride so far, (although having real trouble sleeping at the moment), but DH is finding the waiting around very stressful. And now that our first choice baby name has been taken by Kim K.... Wink

Hopefully at least one more baby from this thread will be born today or tomorrow :)

AmIGoingMad · 21/06/2013 15:47

North West?! Different I suppose!

I hope that your dd and DH are better soon curious.

And you really must stop sitting on the fence and say what you mean pepp! Grin That fb response made me chuckle!

My sis text earlier asking if my waters had gone yet. Do they really think that I won't tell them?!

Been out for lunch with DH and DS which was lovely but I am so tired now and although DS is very tired there's no sign of a nap. I can see me being in bed by 8 latest tonight!
