Shootingstarsandcomets · 21/06/2013 08:07

Good luck mon
Sorry you're having a stressful time ana and thanks for the tip re fluid and movement I hardly felt baby all night and have been worried. It's kicking away now though luckily.
On a very good note ds appears to be having a lie in! He's nearly always up at 7 but obviously his day out with nonna and great grandpa has exhausted him!

cuillereasoupe · 21/06/2013 08:10

Good luck for today MoN I have everything crossed for you and am thinking of you xx

HotSoupDumpling · 21/06/2013 09:48

Good luck MoN Flowers Biscuit

Ana - so sorry you are going through a stressy time (it's like juggling lots of balls in the air with so many things to think about). Don't worry about not buying things for the baby at this stage if that is the most financially sensible thing to do - the baby doesn't have a clue what's happening and won't care if it has 3 babygros or 20 by the time it is born!

I'm sure that as you tick off more and more from your 'to do' list (e.g. had the scary 'first day' at work, moved into your short lease, etc) you'll be able to feel better about it all.

Umlauf · 21/06/2013 09:57

Thank you anani I'm sorry you're going though similar. Big things in life do tend to happen at once don't they?! We're going to visit a flat this afternoon to see if we can move earlier but I'm not hopeful, house and rental prices are ridiculous here, much higher than where we lived in England. Good luck with your move too pinkbuttons don't lift too much!!

I'm thinking of you today mon and keeping my fingers crossed you get the result you deserve. We're all rooting for you and Eliana. I'm disgusted your DH wasn't given time to go, his company could have showed some basic human compassion, to both him AND you.

I've taught my final class at school and so I guess I'm officially on maternity leave! And today marks 100 days until my due date, were on the home run!! My adult students were lovely and I've been given loads of presents very smug as no past teachers have been given presents! and I made them a huge carrot cake to prove English cooking isn't terrible. Theynweremystified at the idea of carrots in a cake! My child students are really put out with me that I'm not coming back next year, and why do I want a baby when I can teach them instead?!

Not sure what to do with myself now!!!

pinkbuttons · 21/06/2013 10:10

I feep the same about not really knowing what to do with myself umlauf also officially off indefinitely now. planning on avoiding any lifting tomorrow instead Ill be cleaningConfused

Really hope your able to get houses sorted soon, sounds like a nightmare. we are paying 2 months rent this month which has been awful and we are maxed out on credit cards but as were moving to a house thats nearly £500 cheaper were hoping well get out of debt quickly again. Its mad how house prices vary even in England.
The only positive I can see of moving while pregnant is that we have had alot of extra offers of help from friends because im not able to lift anything. we quickly accepted their offers wothout pointing out that DS weighs alot more than most of the boxes I would be carrying.

Flyer747 · 21/06/2013 10:49

Good Luck with your move pinkbuttons, I admit I lifted stuff when we moved the other week but I was so impatient I just wanted it all sorted.

Hope you get sorted too umlauf, congrats on maternity leave starting I look forward to hearing reports on how your chilled sunbathing is going.

Last night I won a graco sweetpeace newborn soothing centre for £50 I looked and they retail at between £140-170y friend told me to get one. Has anyone here ever used one? DP and I were laughing saying we will test it out on our hyperactive bichon frise....

textbook · 21/06/2013 11:34

Thinking of you MoN and keeping everything crossed Thanks

I'm currently stuck on a drip in a Greek medical centre as I've managed to get some kind of d&v virus Hmm hoping to be finished soon so I can get back to the air-conned apartment! Baby is kicking away so it's just me feeling rubbish thankfully!

roxvox · 21/06/2013 11:43

Good luck today MoN, I've got everything crossed for you and your family.

GTbaby · 21/06/2013 12:37

thinking of you today MoN Thanks

hope you feel better soon text and good luck with your move pink!

Umlauf · 21/06/2013 12:52

Oh no textbook how rubbish. Did you have travel insurance? Hope you are released soon.

No chilled sunbathing yet flyer still in torrential rain! I am such a saddo and have actually gone back IN to work because I felt bored at home so I'm now photocopying all their resources to make a folder of stuff I might need if I do any private lessons next year! LOSER. haha.

What is a soothing centre?! It sounds awesome!!

It's great you have found somewhere much cheaper pinkbuttons especially as I read on the news last night that the rents are rising in the UK by 3.5%. Horrific. How anyone is able to save for a deposit I don't know, it's depressing to think about it!! I think we'll have to do the same thing with the credit cards which is horrible as we have worked so hard to pay them back this year only for all the hard work to be undone. Lovely of your mates to muck in!

Natalieand · 21/06/2013 13:17

Oh dear textbook hope your having a lovely time with the exception of that xx

I do love a bargain flyer talking of second hand bargains what items would you ladies not buy second hand?

I don't think I have ever refreshed this thread so much before looking for MoN news x

Natalieand · 21/06/2013 13:24

And I just thought I'm due 14/10 and will be 24 weeks on Monday, which must mean some of u r fast approaching 26 weeks, which just seems really far along when u say it out loud lol :-)

legallyblond · 21/06/2013 13:51

Yup - I am 26 weeks tomorrow! And that means I've only got 11 weeks to go (37 weeks is likely for a c section)!!

Natalieand · 21/06/2013 13:57

How exciting legally r u able to share a bump pic with us?

legallyblond · 21/06/2013 14:48

No because I'm not on facebook!! I got rid of it shortly after DD was born. You've all got yours on Facebook, right?

Natalieand · 21/06/2013 15:05

Not all of us no xx

roxvox · 21/06/2013 15:45

Natalieand · 21/06/2013 17:04
