Glad baby is fine mystic meg Grin I'm an Aquarius by one day, DPs birthday is 3 days before mine and he is Capricorn. Don't know how 'on the cusp' stuff works though?!

Happy birthday Chicken my GTT is more about having Caribbean in me than being mixed race iykwim. Apparently it makes me high risk. I was a bit Hmm when she said it tbh. Likewise when I was given my blood results back and she said I didn't have sickle cell or the trait as if I should be really relieved- I already said that no one in my family has it at my booking in app, sometimes they get a bit hung up on the risk factors I think. A bit 'computer says no' lol. All of the midwives I've met have been lovely though, just one of those procedure things to cover backs I guess.

Natalie last week I was on the sofa wearing a vest with no bra, DP says 'what's that?' I looked down and my vest was stuck to my nipple- crusty nipple AND vest. I can occasionally squeeze some not that I attempt to every other day or anything out but it's clear. Belly button is well and truly out now, can see a bump through a vest and top. Not impressed.

Landlord gave permission for us to paint but we're in a 1 bed so its more about me getting stressed out looking at no longer white woodwork and wanting to feel more cosy. Nesting and all that jazz...

Flyer747 · 18/06/2013 23:30

Roxvox you are a Taurus so another earth sign, your are loyal, have great strength, you can be quite stubborn and although usually very calm and chilled it takes you a lot to lose your temper but when you do then people certainly know about it. Usually very patient too and often conservative.

Your DH is a sagi a fire sign, they like their freedom very friendly folk, although they can be honest sometimes to the point of being brutal. A lot of sagis are sporty, they can come across a bit flirtatious but it's simply their friendly nature. Often restless people who like to be on the go a lot trying new things out. They are very upbeat people who like adventure and quite a charmer too.

Your libra baby is an air sign...air and fire signs mix very well :-)

My god father is a sagi I love him to bits he's like my second dad...he never fails to make me smile

Flyer747 · 18/06/2013 23:33

Jethro a perfect combo....libra/sagi/libra it'll be a house with no dramas and fun.

Flyer747 · 18/06/2013 23:41

Feminist the cusp is 5 days + - of the change over of star signs. So you'll both be influenced by Aquarius and Capricorn traits. Although a proper astrologer would say you are a aqua and he a capi...my DP is 20 jan right on the cusp and def has a mixture of both traits.

Finally on the astrology thing (you'll all be thinking I'm a weirdo) there is a really famous astrologer who is dead but she writes a piece on each sign, so the Virgo woman, man, child, boss etc. she gets it to a T her name is Linda Goodman (I have her books) her pieces are on the Internet. Google your sign with woman or your partners sign with man after her name and you can see what she says.

Sorry for the mega long posts! Over and out...

OrangeBlossom2 · 19/06/2013 06:10

Congratulaions on the job Sanji. will you take up the post before or after mat leave?

Thanks flyer, we wondered this week what sign bean would be.
DH is libra and very indecisive, wanting to please everyone. I am Leo but not at all extrovert. Determined and maybe bossy though! DH would love our wriggly little one to be sporty.

I am feeling much better for being back in my own bed after a few nights on the sofa bed for decorating (DH did a really good job) and the laryngitis continues to improve. The curtains are still in the wash and is nice to wake up naturally with the sun and a tummy full of little kicks. Hopefully today will be a feel good day.

Natalieand · 19/06/2013 07:01

flyer if me dd and dh are air signs and this baby is due oct 14th does this mean technically we aren't compatible?

HotSoupDumpling · 19/06/2013 07:13

Sanji, huge congratulations! That is great news.

I'm watching the progress of my tummy button with interest. No an outie yet... But getting there!

PseudoBadger · 19/06/2013 07:18

Well done Sanjifair!

No carpal tunnel yesterday so feeling a bit happier. I've got a busy couple of days at work now in terms of walking and standing so I expect to be worn out....

I'm an Aries, DP is Aquarius and DS is Capricorn I think. No idea how a late Sept/early October sign will fit in with us :o

Haylebop12 · 19/06/2013 07:38

So interesting flyer some of the traits match but as for dh wanting to be centre of attention that is the opposite for him really. Mine is fairly true. I do tend to keep my sesotivity in amd just quietly seethe about stuff! Glad dd and baby will get on
Though :-)

cuillereasoupe · 19/06/2013 07:53

I'm a libra, DP is a taurus and the baby will be scorpio, but I don't believe in any of it anyway so it's immaterial. I'm just hoping he doesn't decide to put in an appearance on my bastard ex's birthday, which he may well if he goes a few days overdue. Still, not much I can do about it I suppose!

I've decided to go for an African savannah theme for the nursery. I grew up there and I'd love to pass a bit of that on to my wee boy.

cuillereasoupe · 19/06/2013 07:54

^^I have yet to run the idea past DP by the way but I'll make sure I get my way Grin

Flyer747 · 19/06/2013 08:21

Natalie you and DH are water signs (pisces, cancer, Scorpio) you baby if born on the 14th would be a libra which is an air sign.

However it goes a little deeper than just your star sign, because as orange pointed out (she is a Leo, fire sign) she doesn't like the limelight or the centre of attention. You have a rising sign which heavily influences your personality. For example I'm a pisces but my rising sign is a Sagittarius, usually a pisces is very laid back, non argumentative. However as my next strong sign is a fire sign (sagi) then it hugely dilutes my pisces nature and adds that firey side I have to my personality. That's why hayle husband and orange say they aren't typical Leo's it's because they'll have other influences that dilute those traits...hard to explain on here.

It's too hard to lump people into 12 category's (for the 12 zodiac signs) and unless you have a full natal chart done there is no full way of knowing your true personality according to astrology....if you had a full chart done I'm pretty sure you'd find it 100% accurate about your character.
DP a is a sceptic as are most people, however I did him a full chart and low and behold he couldn't believe it's accuracy....long post again.

Flyer747 · 19/06/2013 08:26

Glad you are feeling more human again orange.

I'm late for work after writing that mammoth post before oops!

Wickedgirl · 19/06/2013 09:20

Yay......I too have reached 24 weeks!

It's also my birthday today so I am sitting eating peanut M&Ms for breakfast. Yummy

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 19/06/2013 09:29

Soupe - I didn't want DD to arrive on my Ex's mother's birthday (very annoying woman) and, bless her, she missed it by 12 hours. Fingers crossed your little boy avoids that date for you.

Your nursery theme sounds lovely and nice to have that connection with your childhood. I can't see how DP can object. Like some others, we won't be doing any decorating as the baby will be in with us for a good while. Then we'll have a hard decision to make - whether to move or have a loft conversion etc.

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 19/06/2013 09:30

Have a fantastic day Wicked - Happy Birthday Flowers

Haylebop12 · 19/06/2013 09:38

bridget how old is your dd? Mine is 4.4 and said only this morning that she wants baby in her room... I swiftly told her he wouldn't fit!

I'm due 13th, my nephew is the 1st, nan the 10th and my sister the 14th. At least I know I'll have him before Halloween, can dress him up then haha!

Haylebop12 · 19/06/2013 09:39

Happy birthday wicked

I've had my toast And marmite but HAD to finish off the Terry's chocolate orange Grin

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 19/06/2013 10:06

Haylebop - Your DD sounds very sweet; my DD is 6 (she'll be nearly 7 when the baby arrives). I think her bedroom will probably end up being her refuge away from a marauding toddler determined to taste all her choke-hazardous tiny toys and 'share' whatever she happens to be playing with at the time.

Most of DD's plans for the baby involve teaching it say rude words as soon possible and getting it into trouble. I made the big mistake of telling her that the baby can already hear, so she has taken to pretending to cuddle my bump and then whispering "fart" down my belly button when she thinks I'm not looking.

A few people (who don't know DD that well) have commented, along the lines of, how wonderful it will be to have DD as a little helper and how maternal she'll be. I tend to just pull a very doubtful face in response.

I can't wait the dress the baby in some sort of ridiculous Halloween outfit.

Wickedgirl · 19/06/2013 10:22

My DD will be nearly 15 when this baby is born and she is so excited, bless her. It is lovely though. This baby will be cuddled so much by its siblings.....poor little thing will never be left alone to sleep in its own bed!

roxvox · 19/06/2013 10:26

Thank you for the description of us Flyer! All seemed very accurate (especially about DH). It's good to know that he and baby will get on well... I hope there is room for a Taurus to share love with them!

I became seriously fed up of my under the bump maternity jeans over the weekend, so went on a mad hunt for some tall over the bump jeans (quite hard to come by by all accounts). I didn't want to spend more than £30, but ended up begrudgingly spending £48. They arrived yesterday and oh my word - over the bump is so bloody comfortable! I swear I could sleep in these jeans. The only downside is that baby used to kick the band on my old jeans (where it dug in to my stomach) so I am actually feeling less kicks in these jeans!

roxvox · 19/06/2013 10:31

Bridget that made me laugh that your DD is trying to teach baby rude words already!

The only child in either of our families is DH's niece, who is 10 this year. She was super excited at first when we told her about us having a baby, but then she soon worked out that by the time the baby was her age she would be 20, which lost the spark for her unfortunately. She's always been saying that she really wants a cousin who she can play with, so I think that he initial thought was excitement at the prospect of having someone to play with, but then the age difference ruined it for her. Also, she is the only child of her parents, and the only grandchild of her grandparents, so I think it will be strange for her to have to share one set of grandparents with another child.

claphammama · 19/06/2013 10:42

happy birthday wicked and congrats on 24 weeks!! Flowers Are you doing anything special today?

And massive congrats sanji! I'm so happy for you! Grin With your victory you've vindicated so many of us on this thread! And don't worry how it feels now, if it feels a bit "tainted" by his earlier behaviour. Long term it won't matter and a few months off will blur this memory a lot.

bridget my DS (almost 5) seems to be going through the same stage with "bad words". He says he wants to call the baby "poo poo baby" and thinks it's really funny. Poo poo is as bad as it gets these days but I'm expecting worse any time soon. Thankfully he goes to a really good school and I've never heard any kid swear there so hope this will help slow it down a bit!

soup my due date is 22 October although by my own calculations it's 24th. 24th Oct is my very very long term ex's birthday so really trying to avoid it too. He is actually a really good friend now but still, would be far too weird!!

flyer I'm also sort of skeptical when it comes to astrology, mainly because I think I should be. However, reading my horoscope is always like reading a book about me, accurate to the point of being spooky... and the same goes for my DS who is a Leo, dominant, proud, needs attention and limelight all the time, bossy, confident. We have daily battles of wills. The most incredible horoscope I've ever had put together was my vedic horoscope - my Indian yoga master insisted on it when I studied there. It was incredibly detailed - including things like "an illness at the age of 16 that interrupted my education for a year" (I even forgot about it myself!). So, apparently I will live to the age of 91, have two husbands and two children Grin

Umlauf · 19/06/2013 11:22

Happy birthday wicked what are your plans?!

I´m off to check out your link flyer as although I´m quite un-woo, my horoscope is rather accurate for my personality (Aquarius!) and I'm curious.

Hayle that story about your dd is so cute! I can't stop giggling imagining it!

I am having MAJOR stresses today!

Our moving house date has been confirmed. It is SEPTEMBER 30th. Baby is due on... SEPTEMBER 30TH.

We can't stay later (already begged!) and forfeit our ?2000 deposit if we leave earlier. We can't even look for a new place until the end of August as there is such demand for houses here that no landlord will reserve a house for longer than 2-3 weeks. Also due to changes in renting conditions in my part of Spain I need to find a ?5000 deposit by then. And tomorrow is my last day of work and ergo, salary.

FUUUUCCCCKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

roxvox · 19/06/2013 11:36

Forgot to say Happy Birthday to Wicked - I hope you have a lovely day! Have you got any nice plans?

Umlauf that sounds super stressful. It's a shame your landlord can't be just a tad understanding and allow you to stay an extra month or something.

flyer I had a look at that site you recommended; for me it was 90% accurate (had quite a bit about loving being the centre of attention - which I actually hate, but the rest was bang on). It was also pretty accurate for DH when I put in his details! I do find it fascinating, but don't follow it quite to the same level as my sister who seems to live by it.
