I don't think it signifies anything tbh, ginger. Are you still having contractions? Any sign of being allowed home?

dinkystinky · 05/06/2013 08:23

Glad all good at scan Abzs and worries have passed. Sounds like you had a good if tiring day.

Ginger - like Vinegar says I don't think it signifies anything of itself. How are you? Have the contractions stopped now?

dinkystinky · 05/06/2013 08:25

PS thanks all those that sent sleepy vibes - I actually slept quite solidly last night!

mysterymeg · 05/06/2013 08:51

Thanks for the tips icing found some more pillows last night and it was much better.

Sunday my stretch marks are under bump too. I noticed them in the mirror got all upset and asked DH why he hadn't told me lol. They can't win these poor menfolk really can they?

Did anyone brave it outside yesterday? I nipped (haha more like waddled) into town yesterday. Could NOT cope with the heat. Felt like I was going to faint. Horrid weather!

Dinky glad you got a better nights sleep Smile makes all the difference!

Mystery youre welcome, glad it helped Smile ive been sitting in the sun which is looovely, wouldn't go out walking anywhere in it though! Grin

I honestly don't see how I could be pregnant for another 6.5 weeks, 8.5 if shes late! I feel like I've been ready for ages, and just want her here now, but i suppose they come when they're ready, not when we are Grin

Mysterymeg - am still hitting the tube at rush hour which is extra enjoyable in this heat. Only another week and a half of it to go.

MrsMillions · 05/06/2013 16:28

Dinky I can't believe you have 8 moneyboxes from the same person! Can understand that different people might have the same idea, but repeating it yourself! In our case the added irony is DH works in financial services so we'll be making sure baby has their own savings account as soon as possible to get whatever paltry interest we can - anything's better than nothing.

This morning I made the most of being on holiday to stay in bed for 30 minutes after waking enjoying the kicking party inside...knew it would stop when I got moving and after yesterday's chilled out baby I wanted to bond with those wiggles. Helped me dodge the MIL too. Have made chocolate birthday cake for FIL and done some Pinterest pinning, so quite a productive day. Not looking forward to working next week, even if it is for just 5 MORE DAYS GrinGrin!!

MrsMillions · 05/06/2013 16:31

Mystery - I spent quite a lot of yesterday outside, about half of it sat down though, and all of it with a hat on. Found myself feeling quite dizzy in the sun a few days back, so hat has been a very helpful purchase.

dinkystinky · 05/06/2013 17:27

I know MrsMillions - and she's a widow on not much money so I'd prefer she keep her money and spend it on herself, but also know she adores the boys and buys these gifts (and many more) through love so we now have a burgeoning money box collection. On the plus side, we're getting to use them so boys can collect english money in one each, euros in one each, dollars in one each and pretend money in one each Grin

Thinkingof4 · 05/06/2013 19:38

Thanks for all the suggestions re unisex baby clothes, the frugi one is just too adorable, think I may have to buy it!!

VinegarDrinker · 05/06/2013 19:47

Isn't it? I never buy Frugi stuff full price normally, but I couldn't resist!

cheekbyjowl · 05/06/2013 21:53

checking in on my way back from work. I'm actually more surprised to find no birth announcements than I am to read of new arrivals with this threads going rate Smile do we know what they called their babies yet?

dinkystinky · 05/06/2013 21:59

Ellies is called Ezekiel, mini Shiv is Oliver, no idea re Ronnettes names and Emblosions nipper is still awaiting a name Cheek.

IcingTheCake · 05/06/2013 22:09

Emblosion's LO is called Oisín Smile

Gingerpanther27 · 05/06/2013 22:18

Freedom!! Finally out :) vinegar and dinky yes I'm still getting contractions but no baby popping out to say hello yet so got the usual advice from a maternity ward. At least they've slowed down now so I can get about and I'm not that badly in pain that I'm requesting painkillers. I still manged to quite happily polish off a KFC after a week of hospital food though Wink

dinkystinky · 06/06/2013 06:10

Yay for being home Ginger! Hope you had a great nights sleep in your own bed!

BB01 · 06/06/2013 07:10

Glad you've been let out Ginger!

paolocee · 06/06/2013 07:59

FINALLY decided on names.
A VERY fraught negotiation process.
We went for Leila Poppy (the second name a tribute to a baby my sister lost) and Caitlin Liv.

Thanks so much for all your good wishes. And, YAY for Ginger's escape!

IcingTheCake · 06/06/2013 08:13

Yay Ginger! Bet that KFC was a godsend after a week of cardboard crap Wink

Paolo those are both lovely names, and a lovely tribute to your sisters little girl Smile hope your enjoying the newborn phase Smile

cheekbyjowl · 06/06/2013 09:11

beautiful names. all of them. emblosion is from n.ireland I'm guessing, and leila and caitlin are very pretty...and ezekiel is just cool.

ginger glad you've escaped. I've never heard of contractions lasting so long, I feel sorry for you and hope you have a speedy labour when lo is ready.

im also feeling larger by the day. I find myself bending down to pick something up then sitting down on the carpet for a while to compensate for my over exertion.Wink
