Dinky thank you for all the advice. Will go searching for supplements tomorrow. Smiling at you looking like Snoopy and enjoyingnyour updates about London. Makes me really miss it until you remind me about the Tube!

Paolo Amazing news, good luck for tomorrow. Ginger thinking of you. Let us know how you get on.

good luck to Totally for the house move and everyone else having work done. Badmiss we used Applicances Direct as well and they were really good. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Vingear Have you tried Hopi candles? Nt sure if you can use them in pg and I suggest having someone else around to help you light them but the few times I've tried them they've really worked.

Congrats to all those starting mat leave and Hold in there all those with a few more weeks to go.

Sorry not to reply to everyone else but like Abzs fighting sleep so off to bed.

Supershiv1 · 02/06/2013 00:55

Cooo-eeee. Marking place you jibber jabbas with your humungo bellys (only jealous).
Good luck to those ready to pop. Am sure you will be fine. X

Thinkingof4 · 02/06/2013 07:46

Just quick message to paolo and Ginger good luck and looking forward to hearing more baby news today!

hi shiv hope Oliver is doing well

On phone as have been at wedding, yesterday was very busy but a beautiful waterside ceremony, lots of lovely food and a bit of sunshine so couldn't have asked for any more!!

Cheeseandbread · 02/06/2013 08:21

Citizen Thanks for sharing your experience. Fingers crossed things will be straight forward for me.

Dinky I liked your snoopy comparison Smile. I've got something to give others a giggle too. Last night thought I'd be a bit romantic and tried to fit into some nice underwear all my new bras are basic, functional and either black, white or beige I ended up laughing at myself in the mirror as I looked ridiculous trying to squeeze into my 34A bra... DH came in and asked what all the laughing was about... Then he saw me and we both started laughing together... Not a very romantic start ...

Good luck to team Paolo today. Anyone heard from beginning or ginger are they on the fb thread?

Shiv hello! Hope Oliver is getting stronger. Sending virtual hugs and good vibes your way.

VinegarDrinker · 02/06/2013 08:27

Good to "see" you shiv - and lots of vibes for Oliver.

Good luck today Paolo and the Mrs.

Another shitty night's sleep here with earache, cricked neck and heartburn. Ah well, the end is in sight!

Persuasion · 02/06/2013 09:31

Good luck for today paulo. Good luck also to beginning and ginger, and anyone else on the way, these babies really can't tell the time Shock

Lovely to 'see' you shiv - I hope all is well, keep popping in, we'll all be joining you soon at this rate!

Abzs I hope it's sorted soon, definitely sounds the right thing to report it. It's just so thoughtless, that sort of thing gets me all righteously angry.

I hope the move goes well totally - we've had the last week off work and making the ikea flat pack nearly killed me (to finish the final bits around the house before baby comes), I can't imagine moving house at this stage. Make sure you get someone else doing all the hard work and you have a good seat to give directions from!

I hope you're feeling better soon vinegar, sounds like syringing is going to be the way forward.

I'm feeling quite sorry for myself today. I've pulled a muscle in my back, and it keeps almost getting better, then it suddenly gets worse again. It's been about 3 weeks, I've seen the GP who can't suggest anything beyond paracetamol, rest and a hot water bottle. They all help a bit but it's so sore again today and I just want to cry Sad And it's frustrating because the PIL have been visiting this weekend, which has been lovely, but probably means I haven't rested as much as I should, so I only have myself to blame for it being bad today. And humungobump means I can't really compensate for it. Anyone with any ideas would be most welcome!

Ok, small rant coming, feel free to ignore but i need to offload somewhere other than poor supportive DH: The other things I need to complain about (in no particular order) are heartburn, insomnia, night time peeing, the return of greasy hair and spots, and my parents telling me how massive I am-including my mom telling me my bum has got fat (I'm in the same jeans as at 12 weeks, so objectively not true but Angry especially as I am quite sensitive bout my weight although thy don't seem to have noticed)

Right, rant over! The good news is only one more week at work Grin

Thinking - sounds like a lovely wedding.

Cheese - your bra story made me chuckle too. Thanks for sharing!

Persuasion and Vinegar - sorry you are both feeling so rough. Persuasion - ouch re your back. Have you tried heat on the affected area to see if it helps? Try to remember to squat to pick things up and not carrying a handbag if poss too. I occasionally have shoulder and upper back problems and those things help. Re the other gripes - if its any consolation we all know how you feel. I've lost count of the number of people who have told me I'm massive (to be fair I am - I look like someone has stuck a Zeppelin on my front!) But keep reminding yourself the end is in sight.

cheekbyjowl · 02/06/2013 12:47

hi chums

hello shiv and oliver , looking forward to hearing about two ronnies, ginger and beginning. what did emulsion/emblosion (never get it right) call her little boy?

re: wedding what a great day for a wedding. glad you had a super time. wells done on getting the bathroom done...hard core!

re: back pain. have you tried cold press too if its inflamed? I find it conforts less than a hot water bottle but helps more

re mat leave: horray to you all. enjoy your time off and rest well. still about 5 weeks for me but its a good thing as weve had an offer accepted on a house and want to gets the paper work done before mat pay. plus we need someone to buck this early arrival trend right? im happy to volunteer im not at all ready to be a mum.

dinky glad you had a great holiday. how is your ds1 now. has it settled at school for him?

who was it contemplating a move to iceland? what happened with that decision? x

Can't remember who asked but yes I'm on the fb thread I've just not posted on it, update is basically contractions have slowed down now and baby is deciding going to be lazy and cling on in there (think homer Simpson style) I have been given steroids just in case but now have suspected blood clot in my lung

bigbelly4 · 02/06/2013 15:55

just marking my spot!

Persuasion · 02/06/2013 16:20

Oh no ginger. Are you feeling unwell with it or are you okay (as far as can be anyway)? At least you're in the right place. I hope it's all a false alarm.

Thanks dinky and cheek, for the sympathy and the suggestions. I've been finding the hot water bottle quite helpful but hadn't tried cold, so I've been to boots and got a cold compress to try later.

Welcome back bigbelly. How are you getting on?

SlouchingPanda · 02/06/2013 17:01

Things I have done for the last time this weekend:

  1. Painted my toenails
  2. Cycled my bike

There simply isn't room for me to bend over to to them any more. Thank goodness it's warming up as socks were ditched a while ago.

In other news, I am thinking of getting my scrubs embroidered for the final two weeks of work.

I am 34+ weeks now
Yes, it's my first
I'm going off work at 36 weeks
Yes, I am excited Hmm
No, I don't know what I'm having
No, I'm not having it here
Yes I would like to sit down, please!

I know everyone means well, but it would save me a lot of time!

Special thanks to Cheese for cheering me right up with the bra story. I have put all my old ones that don't fit in a box in the loft never to be opened again ... I have three left Sad. Popped in to look at Hotmilk bras yesterday but as I don't know what size I'll end up, I held back for now. Tis only a few weeks...

Paolo - hope the team are all ok. I am on the edge of my bouncing ball waiting to find out if the Two Ronnies are, in fact, the Two Ronnettes. Good luck to all imminent birthers... I think we need a sweekpstake on who will be the last one standing what with all these early birds!

MummyKanny · 02/06/2013 17:42

Hi all, hope you all are enjoying the sunshine! Amazing how many babies are early, clearly want to make the most of the summer! Hope you are all doing okay. How exciting, it doesn't seem like that long ago that we were moaning about morning sickness and wondering when we would start to show..

Have had a productive weekend, ordered a few more baby essentials (like a nice robe for me - I consider that is an essential Wink) and did a little more tidying. Weekends are now pretty much dedicated to baby things so pleased to have made some progress.

DH and I are on our way back from the first of our natal hypnotherapy classes (second and final one next Sunday). DH is grumpy that he missed the bulk of the sunshine but it's just too bad Smile I found it pretty useful, it is closer to meditation than hypnosis and a lot less airy fairy than I thought it would be. The deep breathing exercises were pretty effective. I think it might be worth picking up a CD on eBay/gumtree if you're unsure about a class but open to the theory of it. Next week we are looking at applying the relaxation techniques to the different stages of labour which is likely to be a bit more useful. Anyone else had any experiences?

Oops, got ahead of myself, am 33+3.

paolocee · 02/06/2013 19:08

The Two Ronettes arrived at 1pm today, weighing 5lbs and 4.5lbs respectively and beyond the bounds of bonny. Mrs Paolo is currently recovering from severe preeclampsia in intensive care but should be fine.

Paolo is currently girding his loins in preparation for a life of servitude to his three lovely girrrls. (Father Ted reference for all of you there). He is very tired but knows this is only the beginning.

Thanks for all your good wishes and good luck to all of you for your imminent births.

BB01 · 02/06/2013 19:23

Back from holiday now, will catch up with everyone's news tomorrow as I'm knackered and off to bed. Good night all x

notprincesskate · 02/06/2013 20:14

Congratulations team paolo, hope mrs p makes a swift recovery.
ginger sorry to hear you're having a rough time, fingers crossed its just a bump in the road.
Have just overheard DH talking to BIL on the phone, telling him how massive I am Shock and I thought I looked reasonable, although catching sight of myself yesterday, I probably have to agree I am now massive........ Good job my bum is balancing out my bump, else I might topple over. Not quite sure how my picture in my head of myself, can look so different to my reflection.
