Thanks Clueless I'm 40+11 today !
Thoroughly fed up now but also scared of birth, 'specially being induced so am in a weird limbo state where I want it to happen but don't at the same time.

Ice cream sounds like a plan, definitely need something to cheer me up today... Mmm maybe blueberry pancakes too...

On Monday I decided to stop moping about I was 40+9 and take DS to the funfair... I went to wee around 2pm and noticed some clear gooey type discharge. I just thought eww I hope I don't have a uti. And then I kept hav

Sorry posted too soon, way too soon.

Anyway whilst walking round the fair I started to think this could be waters as it keep leaking out. But I didn't want to cause a scene in front of some family members. So I kept quiet until around 7 when we got to dsis house and I went to wee again and it was a lot of gooey stuff so I declared my waters had broken.
Cue everyone panicking and me just saying all I need is a pad lol

Rang in to hospital to ask them what I should do, they told me to come in.
They confirmed it was my waters that had broken and moved my induction date from the 30th to the 28th (the next morning).
Went home, had a bath but kept on getting pains so went back in around 2am but I was only 2cm and they decided to keep me on the ward and call me down to labour ward in the morning. I did have pains all night on a lonely ward. In the morning I was on the monitor and baby's heart rate kept dipping as I had a contraction. Mw was concerned so called dr in. At 10:25 they gave me two hours to start progressing or they would break the waters underneath the baby's head to try and start things. 2:25pm nothing had happened so they broke the waters and put me on a drip with gas and air. I have no idea what happened from there as it kicked in straight away and my baby girl was born at 2:50pm. 10 days overdue weighing 6lb 6oz.

Yay yay yay I was starting to believe I didn't have a baby in my stomach! But yes she's here, she's beautiful and yes she's real and she's all mine ..Smile

41 weeks today! Had an hour of fruitless contractions/strong braxton hicks and back ache last night that woke me up but then fizzled out. How's everyone else doing? X

I've been having the same on and off since Tuesday bunny, last night was the most painful with awful back pain and horrible period pains and tightenings. I thought I'd definitely wake up in the middle of the night to call the hospital, but woke up again this morning and it had all stopped.

I had a friend message me this morning saying they seen me out walking yesterday and I really shouldn't be out on my own so late in my pregnancy, so I asked if this was her volunteering to take ds to school for me. I wonder what she thinks will happen, if I'll just go into spontaneous labour and have the baby on my own in the street :o

Induction is booked for Monday, has anyone got any tips to keep me and dp amused while we're waiting in the hospital for things to kick off? I'm quite sad that I won't be able to be at home for the early stages of labour but it's not looking like baby will come on her own before then.

41+1

Had a dreadful night's sleep feeling really crampy and uncomfortable and getting up for the loo constantly. Been having some back pain and crampy/tight bump today but nothing regular or consistent. Mainly it just feels like I need to poop! Haha. No idea if this is the start of something or baby is just squishing my insides too much, we can but wait and see.
Fingers crossed baby will have made some progress before they call me in for induction tomorrow.

It's so quiet here now, who is still left?

I was so sure I'd have baby early and now here I am 9 days after my due date still with no baby.

I'm being induced on Monday so today is my last day of peace and quiet, I dropped ds off at school this morning then went to the bakers and got some cakes. I'm now relaxing with my feet up watching films on Netflix and eating cake :o

I'm still here. 41+1 I am now the most pregnant I have ever been as had DS the Morning of 41+1. Midwife kept telling me she thought I wouldn't go to term as baby has been engage for so long. Hmm I wish I hadn't listened to her!

I have a sweep this afternoon. It makes me nervous as the sweep worked last time and labour was quick and intense. Daft really, as labour is what I've been waiting and willing for all this time! Now it's a really possibility in the next 24 hrs and I'm panicking! Shock

I'm in the same boat lolly, I had ds last time at 39+4 and was told I'd probably go into labour a few weeks ago too with dd, and yet here I am still waiting. Our babies are just too comfy obviously. Take some paracetamol just now just incase you start having cramps after your sweep, good luck, I hope it works but isn't too intense for you either.

It's such a relief clueless to finally know for certain that I'll have a baby by x date, rather than constantly thinking 'is this the day?'

I hope you'll both be holding your little babies soon too!

Well she couldn't even reach my cervix for a sweep. I'm pretty upset. Beginning to give up on the home birth. Sad Another sweep attempt on Sunday then if still no baby I'm looking at a hospital induction come Wednesday. Gutted. Bye bye May. I really didn't think that I'd be pregnant in June SadSad I have had enough.

Oh lolly I'm sorry. I'm planning a home birth too and being overdue is a worry especially now we've got endless water proof sheeting... Guess it can be used for decorating. My sister in law advises walking she said she went for a long walk the day before my niece was born so might be worth a try?

Hello ladies, just wanted to say hi to those still waiting! Wishing you all speedy arrivals!

We were allowed home this afternoon and it is so nice bringing our baby home! DH asked me if we could keep her. I think we are both totally in love.

Felt like I've been gone forever. Went into hospital on Tuesday at 14.30. Baby Alexandra was born on Wednesday at 12.33 weighing just over 3.6kg en measuring 51cm

Will post birth story tomorrow.
