Nice to hear some of you ladies had good scans today.

I think the hormones go to me at work today. Caused a manager to apologise for asking me to do something. Drove home in a mood. Grrrrrrr!

Dipping back in to the thread as DH and DD have crashed on the couch after I made it crystal clear that no one was to come within ten feet of me.

Ridiculously late, but don't I was so sorry to hear your news. That is really rough and hope that you get a sticky bean soon.

pod that is rubbish feeling so sick all the time but I hope things get better. Counting down the days til 12 weeks! I hope everyone else with nausea and vomiting is feeling a bit perkier today.

I totally hear you all about mainlining salty foods. One day after I had polished off all the crisps and two large bowls of popcorn with extra salt, I resorted to making tahina (sesame paste plus vinegar and water and more salt) and eating it with a spoon to get my salt fix. That was all I ate that day. I just smile and nod when people ask if I'm eating well...

Re: colour palette I am not a girly girl and was convinced my DD would be wearing lots of chic colours like biscuit and pale grey and buttermilk but everyone gave us pink stuff and by the age of one she wouldn't wear anything but frilly dresses, the more vulgar the better. So I am keeping an open mind about things this time around. I am completely with you all about the undesirability of character clothing however.

sultana that is rubbish and I hope that you're feeling better and that the rubbish spotting stops. Keep positive and remember there are several things that can cause spotting but are harmless.

Congrats to everyone who had good scans today! I had an appointment with a gynaecologist today and she gave me a scan! I believe from the first thread the technical term is a fanny scan. Confirmed I'm 9+5 and all fine so I finally relaxed until I got home, had lunch and noticed spotting from the pap smear she gave me. It was very light and logically I know its just the smear and it's fine but my pregnant brain doesn't want to process this. Hence the big huff and no one allowed within ten feet of me.

Hope everyone is doing fine and enjoying their Friday. I may be being dense, but have there been any updates from ginnysmummy? Last I remember she was waiting for a scan next week. Hope you're doing well.

I weighted today and have lost a couple pounds due to not being able to eat much. Not to worried but trying to force down a little bit more from now on :)

altered. Bits of your post made me smile. . I can't believe it was only 3 weeks ago I was complaining I had few pregnancy symptoms.

Talking of big babies I was 9lb 10 when I was born and my mother blames me for stretching her tummy. My older brother and sister are twins but apparently I was the most difficult birth...

I am so glad it's Friday. I have been counting the hours to today.. . Well I have my second scan tomorrow. I will be 8+4 so hopefully chickpea has been developing as he/she should be. I have to admit that I am very nervous and trying not to think about what could have gone wrong since our 6+4 scan.

My thoughts with all the ladies feeling really ill, worrying/stressing and delighted for the happy scan news/appointments for future scans/MW visits.

MrsGSR I have lost weight too (5lb) because of illness. I am trying to think of it in a positive way too. Ha ha

Omg, all I can smell is my deoderant and its making me so nauseous! Bleghhhh!

OMG Sultanajo I was just about to ask if anyone's sense of smell has gone mental. I washed m hands and the small of the soap (which I have never really noticed before) was so stong it make me gag. I cn still smell it omy hands and I have washed them since... Also not sure what they use to clean our office entrance floor with but I am now hold my breath till I get into the lift....

pod I don't think weight matters to much at this stage. Hopefully you'll start to feel better soon though!

My sense of smell had gone crazy to, we got a new sofa a few weeks ago and I can't stand to be in the living room for to long as it smells new! Been keeping the windows open and hoping the smell dies down soon.

I'm hoping weight doesn't matter at this stage... I am a lot fatter than I thought I'd be at 8 weeks... All the crisps and crap that I'm eating.

Plus I'm blaming it on the fibroid and cyst which are currently larger than the baby/foetus vomit causer.

Hope everyone is ok today... Had completely forgotten my password so couldn't log on. Also left taps on when I don't even remember using them... Oh dear.

Omg yes!!! Cant stand our normal handwashes and dont get me started on shower gel!!!

Feeling more positive thanks pod. Mainly because my deoderant is fucking with me so things must be OK if this is happening!!!

pod good luck with your scan 2moro. I keep worrying about the lack of decent food I am eating. No fruit no veg, I just have gone off everything. I literally have to force myself to eat marmite on toast, pasta.. Er that's about it. Anything else makes me physically sick as soon as I start eating it x

Just wanted to quickly pop on to say congrats on the scans :-)

I'm not feeling too hot, just really hormonal and whiny. I had a crap day at work, but just eaten and will be going to bed in about 5 minutes. I can't wait to just sleep. Tomorrow I plan on going to work in sweat pants and a hoodie. Thank heavens I work in a call centre!

Sorry this is a crap update, will do a better one on Sunday!

I have just been catching up on the recent posts. Great news on all the good scans and sorry to those feeling rough.

To give my update, I has a scan on Thurs (8 +3) and everything is looking good. I was so relieved as had a day of feeling really well - nausea had lifted etc, so was really worried. (Had a missed miscarriage previously so am a bit paranoid!). Nausea is back now - despite travel bands - so lying awake at 4am unable to drop back off to sleep - grr!

We are seeing 6 of our closest friends tomorrow, so will tell them. They would never believe any excuse for me not drinking! (And if something went wrong we would tell them anyway).

Chocco33 I know where you are coming from. It's awful, I feel really guilty. I am living off baby new potatoes, boiled, cold with salt. The most I have had in a day is 15 baby potatoes. she says, not that she's counting it's bloody depressing... Not long now till placenta starts taking over and our HCG levels which are partially responsible for makng us feel so shit start to drop and hopefully we start feeling better. role on week 11

Fidget brilliant news about your scan and there are a few of us on here that understand the dreaded paranoia because of previous ms. It's awful but with every day all our chances of heathy successful pregnancies increase __she says whilst in bed really nervous that something may have gone wrong since last scan-- have a fantastic day with your friends...

Well our scan is at 9:40am and I am really nervous. FX chickpea has continued to develop as expected since last scan and my lack of food/liquids aren't affecting our little miracle...
