Popping into brook for Solars. Hope all is well.

Solars · 03/07/2013 12:42

Thank you for all the brooking, I am so very relieved to say all is well with little blob, measuring well for 7+1 at 9.6mm with a strong heartbeat. The dr had a look around the womb for anything that was causing the spotting but saw nothing, everything looked intact. He said it was most likely the cervix so I reckon there will probably be more spotting after today's dildocamming.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 03/07/2013 12:47

That's brilliant news Solars so pleased for you!

so pleased for you Solars your pesky cervix causing all that worry. I hope you enjoy seeing little sunbeam again. It is so reassuring

Munxx · 03/07/2013 13:29

Brilliant news solars, just the best news.

SweetieTime · 03/07/2013 17:31

just called at my mums and she was looking through baby knitting patterns. she is going to knit us some extra small cardis. I looked at a couple and they were so old the price was in old money Shock

Solars · 03/07/2013 17:37

Oh Sweetie have you seen which pattern she's chosen? Or why not buy her a new pattern book or look online and tell your mum you'd like that please? But it is sweet of her to knit you something.

SweetieTime · 03/07/2013 19:40

There was nothing wrong with the patterns to be honest. I mean how many variations can there be on a baby cardi? I just can not believe she kept the patterns for so long and then could find them again when she needed them.

Sounds like you've got a cheeky one in there already Solars :o

SweetieTime · 04/07/2013 13:01

Sparks how are you doing? Those newborn snuggles going well?

So preggo symptoms, please can anyone tell me if they had funny ears like an under water feeling. I have felt like this for a few weeks now. it doesn't hurt but is a bit annoying. Also I have started getting really breathless when I go upstairs. My office is pn the second floor and I am completely puffed out by the time I get to my desk. Is this normal? I don't notice this when walking on the flat. or am I just unfit?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 04/07/2013 13:13

Breathless yes, definitely had that, even though I go went to the gym regular!! Can't say I had the ear thing though so can't say if that is normal or not.

Sparks hope you're still loving fury snug and nuzzle :):)

Keep not long now and we can start planning a big meet up Grin actually thinking about it Sweetie, let's not leave it too long either ok??

sweetie huge increase in circulating blood volume with twins. And if a singleton pregnancy puts your cardiac output up by 40% imagine what a twin pg does?! I was very breathless, but still coped with playgrounds with dd etc til the end. Just. Though had help in the last few weeks as I was so vast and 17/18 month olds are zippy!!!

solars really glad to hear of your scan, hurray!! Hope the spotting stops ASAP.

Waves to everyone else

SweetieTime · 05/07/2013 11:31

thanks boo and Dream good to know I am normal well as normal as I can be

boo when is the Midlands meet up? we can always do a pre meet up if you like?

quite in here hope everything is ok for everyone

keepitgoing · 05/07/2013 13:35

All good here, away for romantic anniversary weekend in the hills.

Maybe late August, early Sept for midland meet up.

sweetie I get v breathless too. I've had the ear thing on occasion too, didn't connect it with being preggo!.

cartoontrickster · 05/07/2013 13:49

hi I'm back Grin . had a lovely time in Ibiza. it was so hot, nice to come back home to gorgeous weather too!
I had my scan this morning, 11+6 today. they couldn't do the nt as baby refused to get in the correct position! we tried everything. but she seemed positive and everything she could see looked completely normal. we are seeing the fetal med consultant for a scan on Mon she will try and do the nt for us.
sparks I saw your gorgeous little man on instagram, congrats! can I know his name?
how are the bumps coming along?
have I missed much?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 05/07/2013 14:41

brilliant scan news :) not long for the next scan either :):)

SweetieTime · 05/07/2013 15:35

woo hoo Trix I am so pleased you had a lovely holiday am not jealous much and obviously fantastic news on the scan. One of ours wouldn't get in the correct position for nt measurements at our nhs scan. Not long to wait until your next scan either.

keep your romantic getaway sound s ideal too. are you making the most of what Thailand has to offer before jetting home?

Solars · 05/07/2013 16:32

I am so not used to checking in over here yet, thank you Boo, Sweetie, Munx, Sparks, Bullet & Dream

Trix excellent scan news, I too am jealous of you holiday, I have no idea when we are going have one.

Keep I'm jealous of your getaway too.

I got a letter in the post with a date for my booking in appointment, which is next friday, is it really so soon??

cartoontrickster · 05/07/2013 16:48

solars yay you'll be a mwepp. mine likes to see you between 8-10wks, so I think that's about right for you isnt it?
dh seems quite happy after todays scan I was worried that he would still be panicing because we haven't yet had the nt done. but the woman doing the scan was very positive and showed us everything, babies brain, bladder etc etc I had no idea they could be that thorough! we were there ages. especially because she had me doing all kinds to get baby to move. I think her next 3 appointments were there waiting by the time we leftBlush . oh well theyve kept me waiting an hour before. my mum was virtually hysterical because I'd taken so long to ring her. so although I want Mondays scan to be done before we can be completly happy (for now) me and dh aren't worried about it so thankfully no horrible anxious wait over the weekend.

SweetieTime · 05/07/2013 17:28

Solars I had my booking in at 8 weeks too. Then they get you in the nhs system. It is all good.

has anyone heard of fundus? a female colleague asked me today if I had felt my fundus yet? I think that is what she said but I have no idea what she was on about. Any thoughts?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 05/07/2013 17:42

It's the top of your uterus, as your pregnancy progresses your mw will measure your fundal height that is the top to bottom of your bump past your belly button (well where your belly button was)

OP posts:
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 05/07/2013 17:45

here Sweetie

SweetieTime · 05/07/2013 18:40

thanks boo well you learn something new every day. I knew they could measure your bump to work out how far you were but didn't realise it had a name
