One last thread from me, Sparks hope you're ready, you're sneezing on this one :):):)

oh god I'm so jealous of anyone who's more pregnant than me. thought it was only me being completly crazy though.
your right sparks I should try and be a bit more understanding of his way of coping. everyone deals with things differently don't they.

keepitgoing · 04/06/2013 10:48

Just one milestone at a time face. See how he feels after the 12 week scan. Do you have a date yet?

One friend goes 'ooh that's well timed with your return to the UK'. Grrr we were trying FOREVER.

cartoontrickster · 04/06/2013 11:10

no not yet. I'm avoiding booking in with the midwife. but I have a NHS scan on the 10th and have been told to arrange a scan with the fetal med consultant while I'm there for around 11wks. but I'm on holiday between 10+5 and 11+5 so I guess ill have it after then. but I'm not sure if that's my official 12wk scan or if its an extra one.
my first milestone I set myself was getting through to 7wks. passed that now Smile
haha keep well done you for that perfect timing! what an odd thing to say.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 04/06/2013 11:13

Keep you mean you didn't plan it all along like that?? people are stupid, except brookers!

How far are you now Face? I can understand DH giving himself a time/limit, something to aim for, I couldn't do it personally, he might feel different after the scans though.

7+3 boo Grin . I know its still very early. but I said to myself just get to 7wks as calmly as possible and hope you don't spot. well I've done that now so I'm aiming for 10wks now. for me I find small chunks best so I don't count everyday how far along I am but 12wks seems to much of a chunk.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 04/06/2013 11:34

That sounds like a really good way of doing it, smaller targets is the way to go, well done!

Ooh I think sweeties 10 weeks today, Congrats! Is that the equivalent of 20 weeks as you have twins? Btw we could end up with ours due at the same time if yours come at 36 and I'm s bit late! Awesome.

so you know in avoiding booking in, I've had a thought. should I do it so as I have my notes to take on holiday at the end of this month or will I not really need them being so early still?

Don't you need to be booked in before they send your Nhs scan through? Do it, lovely, there's no harm

cartoontrickster · 05/06/2013 08:50

well I've got an NHS scan booked on Monday and was told to book an 11wkish one with the consultant while I'm there. so I can't think that the midwife needs to arrange anything. I just find booking in stressful and upsetting now.

its poss she may ring me this week anyway. I had an appointment with my gp on Fri, he said he would leave her a message and she call me if she wanted. don't they prefer it to be at like 10wks anyway?

I completely understand your wanting to be cautious but it won't make any difference. tell the mw how you feel about these appointment given your history. I am sure she will be very understanding.

I am 10 weeks and 12 weeks for my scan still feels a long way away. I think it is just the way this journey goes.

Sparks woo hoo for a good nights sleep. Do you feel like a new woman?
Saw your link on fb about the new preggo guidance. How bloody ridiculous. makes my blood boil as it is a real worry. I am just going to carry on as before within reason. imagine the stressing you would go through if you followed every piece of advice BONKERS

cartoontrickster · 05/06/2013 11:33

I guess I will at least go and collect the forms after Monday's scan.
I just can't shake the fact that I took an instant dislike the very first time I met her, she was a right grumpy old bag. she does seem to have become nicer after every time I've seen her and was perfectly lovely last time.

SweetieTime · 05/06/2013 11:38

You should try to remember that about her rather than the negative. Is there a choice? Could you see someone different this time?

Well I feel very fat today. I might pop to matalan after work see if I can find any skirts or trousers with elastic waists Blush I have worn leggings and tunic for work today which really isnt appropriate but think I can get away with it as it is so hot in my office. But at least I am comfy Grin

keepitgoing · 05/06/2013 12:05

Have you tried looping a hairband through the button sweetie? Then you can leave button undone. Just wear a long top...

cartoontrickster · 05/06/2013 12:10

I know, I guess everyone has off days. plus at that time I was weaning of my anti depressants and my moods where awful if I wasnt tearful it was the red mist of rage so it was probably just me being silly.
sweetie is your office quite smart then? hope you find some bits you need to be comfy. luckily its really casual here. leggings all the way for me. I am so bloated its unreal. I've not gained any weight yet my belly is huge! I've never had anything close to a flat stomach but its not usually this bad. sever case of muffin top going on even in leggings a size big for me! doesn't feel uncomfy just looks awful!

SweetieTime · 05/06/2013 12:30

I discovered that most of my work clothes dont have traditional buttons but those hook and eye clips. I have one elastic waist skirt which I wore yesterday with my only comfy tights. it is not mega smart more business casual but leggings and jeans are a no no.

I haven't gained any weight either but have a bit of a tummy now. I have been eating super healthily apart from the kfc when I met boo and obviously no booze, not that I have fancied a glass of wine bizarrely Hmm

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 05/06/2013 12:42

SYMPTOMS!!! Grin I am going to keep shouting that for you Sweetie! Are you any good with a needle (sewing not jabbing? You could add a bit of extra fabric/elastic in a discreet place on the waistband or if you have a habidasher get a set of hooks like your trousers and put them on some spare fabric and use it as an expander until you're ready for maternity clothes.

Trix I would see the mw too.

Sparks lovely news about the sleep, hope you feel better today! Any more movement?

cartoontrickster · 05/06/2013 12:44

hmmm sounds like you defo need some new clothes then Smile that's good about the wine, I think ill miss my alcohol when I go for a curry on Saturday! I'm eating constantly healthy stuff and not so healthy stuff so I'm not sure how my weight doesn't seem to have changed. I really wanted to continue on at the gym but I feel Yukky after work so its the last thing I feel like doing.
