pod yay for heartbeat and being so strong! I think what you said about the pain of mc and yet the joy of having a bun in the oven now is so true and very beautifully written.

MrsG SO glad to hear this after you'd thought it was game over - could be not just one but TWO!!!!!!!!!!!

love good luck Friday - that would be lovely to see heartbeat!

Once again, nausea gone by lunch (in time for me to be SUPER hungry). At least it's reliable...

Yonionekanobe · 18/05/2013 14:38

Wow MrsG wonderful news and you too pod

I am currently in the A&E waiting room having been referred by my GP as DD woke up this morning covered in chicken pox! I was sent here by GP to check my immunity (which should be fine given I had CP as a child). A&E nurse wasn't sure what to do so I am now waiting for the obs & gynae consultant. I fear it's going to be a long, long wait and I don't even have change for the vending machine and a pack of Maltesers Sad

DD seems fine in herself but I dare say once the itching starts the poor thing will be very distressed.

MrsAVB · 18/05/2013 14:41

pod and mrsg so excited to hear your happy news! Woop woop! mrsg are you going to make a complaint about the nurse who made the mistake?
humpty, yes, tell mr humpty to expect my bill shortly Smile
Reached a new vomming low today. Vommed in the shower, nice! And mrAVB had to rescue me from the bathroom floor afterwards as I felt really faint. Ho hum.
Happy Saturday everyone xxx

chocoloulou33 · 18/05/2013 14:43

What lovely news to come on here too!!!
pod so happy you saw heartbeat at scan, brilliant news x
mrsg that is amazing!!!! What brilliant news! So good. How do u feel about twins? Lol xx
humpty my nausea oppposite, wake up feeling ok. That only seems to last for couple of hours then I feel ill all day til I go to sleep, I even wake up in night feeling terrible. Will all be worth it in the end though :) x

TobyLerone · 18/05/2013 14:53

Excellent news, MrsG!

Mine's the same, loulou. I feel fine in the morning. It comes on in the afternoon and carries on until I go to sleep. Luckily I'm not waking up in the night, though. Well, not with nausea, anyway.

Hope you've got good immunity, yoni.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 18/05/2013 15:23

yoni hope the immunity test comes back okay, sending you virtual Malteasers. I am stuck at work, if it helps...

MrsAVB I shall tell him to expect a LARGE invoice soon. Sorry about vomming in shower, that is bloody grim.

choco and Toby that sounds grim, but, as you say - totally worth it in the end! I don't mind mine being in the morning. It feels v traditional!

DawnOfTheDee · 18/05/2013 15:30

Hi,

Can I join please? Got a BFP today. A bit confused cos I thought i came on on thursday but only a tiny bit of blood. Nothing since so i poas just in case and it came up positive.

I've just done the due date calculator and it says 23rd Jan....2 days after DD's 2nd birthday!

MrsGSR · 18/05/2013 15:31

Thanks for all the messages. I would love twins, I know it would be really, really hard, and I would be huge, but still! However as long as it's healthy, I will also be really excited and happy with just one!

I'm not going to make a formal complaint, the Doctor knows she told me the levels had dropped (and saw that she'd written it in the book) and appologised to me, so I'm just going to let them deal with it. Judging by my levels today it didn't do any harm :)

MrsAVB and anyone else with morning sickness, I hope your feeling better soon!

Had two new symptoms today, if I stand for too long I feel a bit light headed, and feel like I'm moving as if I'm in an elevator. Also I have a bit of a lump in my throat, which my mum once told me she had had the whole time she was pregnant with me!

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:37

Pod I am so pleased for you! Your post made me cry! (although so far today Greys Anatomy and Ashley Banjos Secret Dance Crew has also made me bawl FFS!!) Hmm

MrsGSR OMG! Thats such amazing news! Cant believe the nurse cocked up so badly! Thats disgraceful!

Chocco and Toby* my nausea is the same, although starts within half an hour of waking. Particularly bad the last two days and DH is losing sympathy I think.

TobyLerone · 18/05/2013 15:38

:( sultana, that's harsh. Does it go on all day? At least I get until after lunch before mine starts.

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:38

MrsAVB I really feel for u! It is bad enough dry heaving and feeling shite, without following thru! Hope it doesnt last too long for u!

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:41

Toby yes goes on allllll day! Mine used to kick in a few hours after waiting, but now am having to get up straight away to grab some dry cornflakes...Sad It will all be worth it for a healthy baby, but it does get you down.

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:41

Waiting should be waking....doh!

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:44

MrsAVB I have the throat lump too - feels like some food is stuck but its not. Starts around midday and then continues - makes the nausea worse for me too. Thought it was just me, but I had it last time too, so I know its preggo related.

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:45

Doh! That should have been MrsGSR! Oh dear! Blush Blush

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:46

Welcome Dawn!,Congratulations!!! X

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:47

Lol Humpty! Loving the "traditional" thinking!

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:48

Hope they dont keep u too long Yoni & u get the right result!,x

TobyLerone · 18/05/2013 15:53

Eek. I have an actual lump in my throat. Unlikely to be pg-related, though. Dr says it's an infection. It better not go on for the next 7 months!

Sultanajo · 18/05/2013 15:56

Oh blimey Toby. How annoying! Is it sore? X

Frizz1986 · 18/05/2013 16:19

Yay pea thats great news and OMG mrsgsr how exciting after all you have been through!

Welcome to any newbies.

To anyone feeling bad about posting sad things on here, please dont feel bad at all. We are all here to support and learn from each other. From a first timer, although I find it sad and difficult to read I also find it so helpful to understand the highs and lows that everyone can go through as I never know when/if it could be me at some point.
To read what others have experienced, how they have felt and how they are dealing with the hard issues that can surround a pg gives me knowledge about something completely unknown to me.

Yonionekanobe · 18/05/2013 16:36

Thanks everyone! And for the virtual Malteasers humpty!

They've taken blood now and I am waiting for results. I told them I needed to go and get a snack for my nausea so got some fizzy cola bottles (big kid but they seem to help).

Completely agree re. keeping the thread open to good and bad times. Many of us have had sad or scary experiences in the past (mine was an ectopic) so are here to support.

TobyLerone · 18/05/2013 16:49

Nope, not sore, luckily.

Sherbet lemons and mint imperials are helping with my nausea a bit.

I've just put a big macaroni cheese in the oven because I'm starving. I'm going to eat some with white bread, like a big fat pleb :o
