I'm so sorry to hear that MTB & sultana.
I'll be thinking of you both

MTBMummy · 16/05/2013 08:16

Thanks everyone for the hand holding, it's helping me keep it together. It really is a life line right now.

I'm going to call my GP at 12:30 as they do t open until 9 and my meeting starts in 15 minutes. Thankfully I pass the EPU on my way home, so can stop there if I need to.

Really hope your spotting settles down Sultana

MTBMummy · 16/05/2013 08:18

sultana am with you on the something not feeling right, I could t out my finger on it yesterday but something was just off.

Then had palpations and spotting in the evening and went to bed resigned that this was not a sticky bean. Woke up at 3am awful cramps and a huge amount of blood :-(

Penny31 · 16/05/2013 08:19

sultana and MTB I'm keeping everything crossed for you. MTB I know what it's like trying to get on with work and meetings with things on your mind. You just want to get out of there! Best of luck and I hope you get seen ASAP.

chocoloulou33 · 16/05/2013 08:22

LittlePeaPod · 16/05/2013 08:24

So sorry for you choc, mummy and sultan Sad I hope it turns out to be nothing wrong. (hug) x

SunnySentiments · 16/05/2013 08:30

Keeping FX for MTB, Sultana & Choco

Do go and be seen at the EPU if you can. They might be able to give you some reassurance. My bleeding has gone back to dark brown spotting, although I also had some brown clots last night. I wish I was having my second blood tests today rather than Friday. The waiting and worry is exhausting.

Thanks for the tip re spotting thread Choco. I will definitely be checking that out.

[Flowers] and hugs for all those worrying x

Yonionekanobe · 16/05/2013 08:46

Wow - I disappear for a week and a brand new shiny thread!

Congratulations to all who have recently joined and so sorry that there has also been bad news Flowers

I continue to feel constantly sick and exhausted. PILs had DD overnight last night as DH and I have a day off today to go to the cricket. We thought we would take advantage of DD being away and went to the cinema - I fell asleep about half an hour in Blush

Been very stressful at work - hence not having much time to MN! My boss knows I am pg after I had a bit of an emotional breakdown one day! Together we are now trying to line me up for quite a significant promotion. The decision will be made when I'm about 15 weeks so and frankly I think it will be obvious by then.

Sultanajo · 16/05/2013 08:55

Thanks so much for the support everyone. I too have meetings all morning MTB but have managed to grab a GP appointment at 11.20am just after my last meeting - it's gonna be tight. Gonna get myself referred to the EPU - it's my birthday at the weekend so really hope I am wrong, but have a bad feeling and would rather know now (if they can give me an answer).... Not told DH as he has enough stress at work at the moment - will tell him tonight. At least the sun is out today for a change....!

Thanks Chocco - will check out the thread xx

Sultanajo · 16/05/2013 08:57

Arghhh Sunny - as you say, the waiting and worrying is exhausting. Time just drags doesn't it!!! x

gemma277 · 16/05/2013 09:06

MTB, choco, sultana fingers crossed for all of you that everything goes well today. I got food poisoning yesterday felt awful but think its better today, hope everything else is ok. Fx for you ladies

cosmickitten · 16/05/2013 09:19

Morning all
Yesterday I had quite a big bleed with lots of painful cramps and thought it was all over. In my local area there is no access to the EPU until 7 weeks (I was 6 weeks plus 5). My midwife tried to get them to see me but they wouldn?t.
In the end we went to company we have booked a private 8 week scan with as didn?t fancy being limbo for 2 days. They were great and saw me asap. The scan showed our little bean with a healthy heart beat. The sonographer couldn?t see any reason for the bleed. But did tell us that bean is 6 weeks plus 2, so a little younger my dates showed.
Not out of woods yet and midwife has ordered 1-2 days bed rest. After the initial bleed I am now spotting. So I guess now it?s time to wait and hope.
Thinking of everyone suffering from bleeds/spotting and cramps x

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 16/05/2013 10:27

choco - missed you off my last post. Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you too and got everything crossed Flowers

cosmic - what a heartening story. Delighted all seems well

SpecificDreamRabbit · 16/05/2013 10:34

Sorry, Humpty, went to bed early! Grin You can sign up for the NHS emails for you and your partner here: NHS Emails

Hugs and handholding for the ladies with spotting, my heart goes out to you Sad and good luck for your scan, MissMedusa, I do hope all goes well.

Have you in my thoughts, MTBMummy, and hoping for a happy outcome.

Cosmic, that?s lovely news!

SpecificDreamRabbit · 16/05/2013 10:35

Am feeling a distinct lack of symptoms this morning, which is making me feel nervous - and feel silly for feeling nervous. I guess it doesn't help that I have a work event tonight and will have to try to swerve the wine without making anyone suspicious! Going to be hard work, I think.

Foodylicious · 16/05/2013 10:50

thinking of all you MTB, Sultana, Choco and cosmic, fx.
Still spotting here, but back to dark brown.
Off to see my sister and her 10week old and her friend and her 1yr old. Sooo want to tell them and keep it a secret all at once, ahhh!
DP told one of his friends yesterday as we were going to see him in the states this year, but now financially does not make sense (we are already spending a fortune going to oz and Thailand). glad he has been able to tell someone finally, unfortunately he now wants to tell everyone!. he won't though Smile he knows better than that!

bluecarrot · 16/05/2013 10:56

Thinking of everyone going through a worrying time.

I had a fair about of spotting and a lot of cramping with dd and shes 10 now so it wont always mean it wont stick. Just get as much rest as you can x

I called my midwife this am and asked if she can write the referral to the hospital early to give me a better chance of a scan before my birthday - and she did it! Ill be 9+4 on the initial midwife meeting but scan will be between 10 - 14 weeks. Im hoping its before 11+4.

My DP comes home tonight after a few days away at his parents and has agreed it should now be his job to clean the bathroom.. you know, because the fumes arent good for baby ;) I have to teach him. Thats tonights entertainment sorted ;)

TobyLerone · 16/05/2013 10:59

Sounds promising, cosmic :)

MrsGSR · 16/05/2013 11:06

So sorry MTB, Chocco, Saltana and everyone else having spotting or bleeding, fx everything is ok and thoughts with you all

Had the second blood test today, waiting for the Doctors to call me to let me know if the hormones are increasing right. Staying very close to the phone!

LittlePeaPod · 16/05/2013 11:14

MrsGSR crossing everything hcg levels are increasing really well.

Foodylicious · 16/05/2013 11:15

Rest well cosmic sounding positive though! I too got to see my little flutter-bean (on Monday) and she measured it as 6+1 when i thought I was 6+5. saw MW day after and she said they cant really measure accurately when they are so small so has still put in for 11-14wk scan from my lmp dates which actualy puts me nearer 8 weeks due to lave ov.
Anyway Smile to seeing the little one and take it easy x
Good luck mrs g fx

enjoyingscience · 16/05/2013 11:18

Hand holding for MSB, sultana and anyone else who needs one!

Hope everything turns out ok for all x

My GP called yesterday to apologise for the advice given by the receptionist when I called. She directed me to the midwife for a first appointment (which is fine), and I asked whether I needed to book a scan myself or via the MW. Her advice was not worry as her daughter didn't have one til 16 weeks Hmm, so I sent an e-mail to the practice saying I didn't think that was great advice. He sounded so worn down, poor man, I felt bad for complaining! He did say that he would be reminding staff not to give advice if they aren't qualified to do so, so hopefully she'll keep her anecdotes to herself from now on.

chocoloulou33 · 16/05/2013 12:13

Hope your blood results don't take too long mrs let us know. Am off to work now but will get on here this evening x

SunnySentiments · 16/05/2013 12:25

FX your blood results are good MrsG. Let us know how you get on.

I have my second test tomorrow x
