Congratulations, and a lovely name x
Waiting for home visit from midwife... Hiding all the offensive weapons and illegal drugs - you know how it is ;)

curiousgeorgie · 24/05/2013 09:55

Congrats Arlandria! Lovely name... It was on our short list if we were having a DS...

So many babies and its still only may! My C Section date isn't until my due date 25th June and feels ages away... Although I am moving house next weekend so probably best she stays put a bit longer Grin

rrreow · 24/05/2013 10:23

Congrats arlandria! Good luck to everyone else who are having their babies/inductions today.

I had rather regular/nagging BH last night so couldn't sleep for ages. Feel a bit rough this morning. Looking forward to the long weekend! DSiL has offered to babysit DS so we can go on a date before DS2 is born. We're probably going on a shopping trip to Westfield and have some nice lunch together. It's so hard to find proper couple time once you have kids!

Steffanoid · 24/05/2013 10:30

lovely name arlandria,

im still giving the baby pep talks to get a shift on, think my cervix is being wriggled on a lot and think bump has dropped, tge dog has started acting very funny with me which can be a sign, mums dog is acting funny too, getting a few crampy pains and twinges today, my big sister comparatively went into labour 2 weeks 3 days before her edd which is tomorrow for me, so need to ramp the talks up I think

learnermummy · 24/05/2013 12:26

Urghh home birth assessment today and have to go for scan as baby might have turned breech!

Sunbeam18 · 24/05/2013 12:35

Congratulations, Arlandria! Your tiny boy sounds beautiful, and lovely name.
Good luck to Maisie and massage girl today. Can't believe we are seeing so many May babies!
Hope everyone with discomfort feels better today.

Sarah2506 · 24/05/2013 13:40

Congrats to all the new mums!

I'm much better now and wouldn't wish that vomiting bug on anyone. Trying to summon the energy to get myself up and out this afternoon to get my hair cut and coloured, so I look human in my first baby photos!

Congratulations Arlandria :o and welcome to Elliott.

Good luck massagegirl and Maisie for today!

Cycle, glad you're back with Nye - don't forget you can always just wake him up (I recommend a nappy change for this...) if you think he's slept too long without a feed.

Me and M are doing OK, he's jaundiced, still has greenish poo and has dropped 10% of his birth weight so the MW is a bit concerned about him/us. She's back tomorrow for another weigh-in so will see where we are after that, but she was talking about expressing and giving top ups by bottle if things don't improve (I think they have FWIW so fingers crossed it'll be OK). He's also a bit topsy turvy at the mo, and is cluster feeding from about 11pm to 2.30am every night, then feeding at about 5am then sleeping till 8ish. Would be nice to move that forward by a couple of hours so I feel like I'm getting some sleep while it's dark outside! And he's been to his first ever playgroup today, since DS1 was climbing the walls we all walked to the local church hall playgroup - it was lovely to see other adults to talk to, and obv all the compliments M got helped too :o

Olimoss · 24/05/2013 14:06

Congrats Arlandria!

pinkbear82 · 24/05/2013 14:30

ah rue that sounds fab! and fingers crosses the scales show the improvement tomorrow!

welcome Elliot - bet you don't stay tiny for long!

this bloomin acid reflux and cough is making me sick and I now sound like a horse, I'm not impressed.
managed to go out shopping this morning with Mum, I seem to have come home with an awful lot for mental dog and thunder cat!

hope everyone's having good day

learnermummy · 24/05/2013 14:45

Back from hospital and all is well, baby is head down after all. Phew!

rrreow · 24/05/2013 15:27

Yay learnermummy that's good news. I'm eagerly awaiting 12am tonight as that's when I'll be 37w and am officially allowed a homebirth! Not that I feel like labour is imminent though. I'm putting my bets somewhere between 38-39w. The sooner the better though as far as I'm concerned, I am so fed up with work!

Hawkmoth · 24/05/2013 15:34

Home birth assessment passed here, despite DS wiggling his half-exposed backside at the MW. I do have to see a consultant about it in a fortnight, but there's nothing that they'll be able to use to talk me out of it. If I'm lucky, I might get a sweep!

MrsBri · 24/05/2013 15:45

Good news for the home birthers amongst us today then. :-)

I'm knackered today after a shit night's sleep last night. Not sure how productive I can be today, though I did do the 50 yard dash to rescue my washing when it started to rain earlier. Rather impressed that I managed it!

RueDeWakening · 24/05/2013 17:38

Let this be a warning: I ate dried fruit yesterday (quite a lot!), DS2 has spent today producing the most horrible eggy farts and poos in the world ConfusedGrin

cyclecamper · 24/05/2013 21:52

Congratulations Arlandria!

Nye has settled into demand feeding better now. I had a lot more sleep with him in with me Smile. If he gains weight tonight we can probably go home tomorrow afternoon.Grin

learnermummy · 24/05/2013 22:12

Great news cycle. Fingers crossed for you.

massagegirl · 25/05/2013 02:53

Hi June ladies. Baby girl born last night at 8.30. Didn't get my honebirth but she is totally worth it!

Steffanoid · 25/05/2013 03:58

brilliant news on her arrival, hope all went ok, does she have a name yet?
sorry you didn't get your home birth but congratulations Thanks

AlohaMama · 25/05/2013 04:12

Congrats massage girl. That was a long one! Hope you're not too exhausted.

Is it just Maisie we're waiting for now then? And who is on for next week?!

Am officially knackered. Cleaning outside of house and touching up paintwork, plus trying to keep very tired (and hence very disobedient) toddler out of trouble so we can get on with stuff. Good progress being made but still feels like a lot to do to get this house on the market, hopefully in a few weeks.

arlandria666 · 25/05/2013 04:14

Brilliant news cycle hope you get home and can enjoy being a family x x
Congratulations massagegirl :-D
Elliott feels like he has been in my life forever! The hospital have been great i have finally managed about 4 hours sleep in total but hopefully they are sending me (plus huge amounts of pain relief and injections) home today :-)

massagegirl · 25/05/2013 04:50

Was pretty intense. Was thinking I needed an epidural at around 3cm then went from that to fully dilated in half hour, pushed for 10 mins and that was that. On post natal ward now, wishing I was tucked up in my own bed! Gould luck to those with inductions etc coming up.... It's all happening!

MrsBri · 25/05/2013 05:17

Congratulations massagegirl. :-)

Who needs a home birth when you have a snugly newborn to cuddle?!

Arlandria, fingers crossed you get to go home soon too.

Olimoss · 25/05/2013 07:52

Yay for you, Massagegirl!

Babies galore!

I had my section booking-in yesterday (squeezed it in between crazy running round am doing now Mum's here, bloody exhausted)....it's all go for Wednesday.

Think I've changed my mind....

MrsBri · 25/05/2013 08:00

Ha ha, Oli...it's all very real now, isn't it?

So, are you on the list to be next (after Maisie updates us)?

I wonder if anybody else will steal a charge on you? :-)
