I see your tired post and tag on dd2 2:30-5 dear god I wanted to kill her and myself!
She had terrible wind, burped loads but just couldn't get the last bit out then we both slept till 9 which I know seems good but puts my whole feeding routine out Confused
She tricked us the night before by just waking up once at 1 and going down as good as gold
On the whole "not sure about baby thing" I think everyone does think it but at the same time wouldn't change or for the world, and as grotty as lack of sleep is its defiantly better having baby out then in, atleast you get to gaze adoringly at what's keeping you up the next morning when you don't hate themso much plus they do sleep ALOT atfirst so I'm currently in the garden enjoying the rays GrinWine cheers little lady
Love the image of frus little cat girl curled up asleep at your feet ahhhh

bringonthetrumpets · 07/06/2013 14:14

Haha at the image of a little child curled up on the end of the bed. Comfy!

Well Grumpy Grumpington, hopefully you are able to get in a nap today or at least something small to cheer you up (although I would have punched someone if they told me that yesterday, so feel free to ignore me). I usually bring up a piece of peanut butter toast when I go to bed so when I wake up at 3 and have to pee, I just eat it and go back to sleep. It's been working pretty well, except the wild fetus decides to have a dance party for the next hour which is really hard to fall back to sleep with. Hmm.

Jo I think you should totally have your baby today!

Yikes Kitty you're bringing back horrible memories from the nights that we couldn't get the littles to go back to sleep. And yipee! Here we go for round #3. At least it's sunny for you today (and I saw the pic on fb, oh my life she is CUTE sleeping in the sun).

Currently dealing with a bruised bump. The wild fetus has decided to keep her feet in one particular spot and continuously kick at it and OH MY GOD it hurts to even move. Dh is SO SURE that she's coming tomorrow. He keeps talking about it. I'm not convinced.

OW! Pretty sure noone's mentioned to DS2 that he needs to wait for contractions before trying to force his way out! Hmm He's definitely more engaged than he was yesterday...!

bringonthetrumpets · 07/06/2013 15:30

Good sign Jo!

OP posts:
Jojobump1986 · 07/06/2013 15:53

But it hurts!! Sad Wink At least with contractions you feel like it's actually useful, this just feels like my bump has given up!

bringonthetrumpets · 07/06/2013 21:12

I think my abdominal wall has given up. YEOUCH! I am just in agony today with an over-the-top sore bump. I can't even move without it hurting and this baby is deciding today is a great day to work out the legs. So so painful! I'm over here whimpering too!

Went and saw The Great Gatsby, just me and the bump. Now I have to go to my baby sister's high school graduation party which I'm not particularly looking forward to. Sad It's an hour's drive away and it's people that I don't feel like talking about the fact that I'm MAHOOSIVELY pregnant with. I just want to fast forward to tonight when we get home and I can go to bed. I love her, but I would so much rather stay at home.

OP posts:
Jojobump1986 · 07/06/2013 21:42

I can't believe anyone is expected to travel at this late stage! That's so mean! Sad Just the thought of being in the car for that length of time is enough to set of my BHs! I vote you have a proper waters-gushing moment in the middle of the party, just like in the movies... That'll give them something to talk about & make them feel bad that you'd travelled all that way! Grin

I'm beginning to get the feeling that DS2 might not appear on my geek-date... Unless I have a 2 hour labour & I'm not massively keen on that plan! 4-6 hours would suit me nicely. Just enough time to brew that bath tea! Wink

Having said that, I am getting the odd twinge that I can't be entirely sure is 'just' a BH. Probably is though. I'll be pregnant forever!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 08/06/2013 03:40

3am wakeup call anyone?

bring travel in late pregnancy is bad enough, but I feel for you having to put up with having to talk to people you don't particularly want to.

jojo you're not going to be pregnant forever. That would be horrendous would you just keep getting bigger?

bringonthetrumpets · 08/06/2013 04:19

So the drive up wasn't too bad. Dealing with stupid family members and answer stupid questions was...interesting. The drive home was miserable. I started having cramps while I was there, they kind of stopped when we got into the car, but then I had to pee for like half the car ride combined with baby pushing against the bruised spot on my bump Sad. I'm so staying home for now until she comes out!

OP posts:
Jojobump1986 · 08/06/2013 10:48

bring that sounds really frustrating! How are you feeling now? Any more cramps?

I had to get up to pee numerous times last night. Usually it's just the once but I must've got up about 3 times! Hmm Today my bump feels... Different. Smaller maybe, & possibly lower. No intense cervix pain like yesterday though which I'd expect if he was engaged. A friend was telling me on Thursday that she remembers when her first engaged that her pelvis hurt less so maybe that's what's happened & I'm in less pain because he's where he's supposed to be! I hadn't noticed much/any movement so I've just had a cold juice & am now lying on my back... Getting poked! Cheeky boy!

I do just feel odd today... Can't explain it. It's making me wonder if I should go get checked out! Hmm It's probably just because I really wanted him to come yesterday but now I'm just hanging around waiting for him! I didn't have this last time because I was convinced I was going to go so far past the due date that I was going to have to argue against induction! That'll probably happen this time & I'll be trying to convince them I don't want to be induced while whinging about wanting him out now!

Lorelei353 · 08/06/2013 13:58

We're all getting so impatient now! It's a strange feeling, just waiting for something to start, especially since I've no idea what it's all going to feel like. Nervous about how I'll handle it but feel strong at the same time. Just been to yoga which always helps. Felt quite emotional saying goodbye to the teacher. She's an amazing teacher actually.

Emotional girl today I think! Smile

bringonthetrumpets · 08/06/2013 14:36

Woke up at 4 with cramps and random contractions and intense hunger and the flippin sore area on the bump is still giving me probs. Sleep these days is non existent....and now things are mostly quiet.

Glad that yoga is helping for you Lor! I loved doing yoga with loads of other pregnant mamas. I can't even move normally right now let alone do yoga (which is really depressing!).

Jo hopefully that's the case! Locked in and loaded and ready to go. This waiting around business is just miserable.

Have to haul the two boys to little kid footy practice this morning b/c DH stupidly decided to take the morning shift on a Saturday and this is his whole deal. Then I'm hoping for some stellar and I mean stellar as in this better WORK induction acupuncture. I'm even ok with there being needles in the bottom of my feet again (which really doesn't feel good when they're going in). Confused

OP posts:
kittykatsforever · 08/06/2013 18:13

Oh dear there is alot of pregnant women being kept waiting isn't there Hmmbring are you at due date yet?
Fx they all come soon being pregnant in this heat can't be too much fun but try to console yourself with lots of ice cream x

bringonthetrumpets · 08/06/2013 21:22

Due date tmrw!

OP posts:
Librarina · 08/06/2013 21:42

Well that's the end of day 40+1. After yesterdays reflexology i felt relaxed but not imminent, so today I walked for miles, jumped up and down watching a parade, ate ice cream and bought a pineapple. None of which resulted in a baby. I did however buy a wicked pair of Adidas and received a really beautiful baby carrier in the post from my friend in America... It's this one www.petunia.com/carriers/ergobaby/peacefulportofino so all I need now is a baby to put in it (well in a few months cos its not for newborns!)

Someone's got to give this thread a baby soon!

Jojobump1986 · 08/06/2013 22:46

I'm trying Lib! Grin

It's entirely possible that I might be gradually losing my marbles plug... I've had more discharge for a couple of days which seems to be increasing! Last time I lost it the morning after having a sweep & it all came out at once. I had to google it to find out that it could come out as tiny bits over a few days! Blush

Other imaginary symptoms currently on my list include: stingy/let-down feeling in my nipples, mood swings & frequent, strong BHs... Going to bed now to try & get some sleep, just incase I need to be well rested! Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 08/06/2013 23:50

Lib you can get a newborn insert for the Ergo and it's awesome, b/c we have one too! You should be able to find it on the website or even amazon.

Exciting news on the plug and other symptoms Jo.

You're right, we are experiencing a baby drought. Hello little fetuses, time to come out now and put these poor mothers out of their misery!

OP posts:
Jojobump1986 · 09/06/2013 05:42

I can't sleep. I'm so hungry but I can't be bothered to go find food! I'm seriously considering waking DH up & making him find me food! Blush

Definitely losing my plug but it's v different to last time! It was more of a jelly-like lump last time but it's just a whole load of snot-like mucus now. No blood in it so I'm trying not to get excited about things being imminent... That's really not working though! Grin

I'm debating whether or not to send DH to church today... On the one hand, I don't want to be alone incase anything happens, on the other, I don't want anyone to notice anything's happening which they would if we weren't there, I don't want DS to miss out & I hate the idea of DH hanging around looking at me all the time!

Hmm... Is that a contraction, or am I just hungry? Grin

Jojobump1986 · 09/06/2013 06:29

Hmph. Why is no-one else up at 6.30 on a Sunday morning?!

I'm now bleeding... Don't remember bleeding at all pre-birth last time. I've got no idea how much blood is concerning! Might have to wake DH now!

Live labour thread here so I don't clog up this thread!

Lorelei353 · 09/06/2013 07:49

Due date today!

That is all. Grin

Jojobump1986 · 09/06/2013 07:54

Grin Congrats Lor! Sorry I seem to be stealing it! My friend gave birth on my due date too!

Lorelei353 · 09/06/2013 09:43

Maybe we can share it! .
Will keep track of you on the other thread.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 09/06/2013 09:44

Oo oo oh. could this be the start of the Gemini baby boom? ds doesn't count because he's not a Gemini Grin I vote for all the Gemini babies to be born in the next couple of days.

And to make you all relieved that you don't have the luxury of the amazing projectile pooing baby. Envy just what I need to be covered in of a morning. Envy

Librarina · 09/06/2013 10:21

Is it bad that I'm a teeny bit jealous of someone losing their mucus plug? It is quit possibly the minginest thing I've ever been jealous of!

Jojo you're doing fabulously, keep it up! And send some ... Whatever hormone gets the baby out... this way!

Trumpets. I was thinking of using a stretchy wrap at first, as they look nice and comfy for a newborn. I went to a sling meet on Friday and learnt how to tie one. Have you tried them? Which did you prefer?

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 09/06/2013 10:48

lib I have a mei tai wrap. I made it for dd2, but it's a very strong material, padded and multiple layers. it's great because I can carry ds or dd in it comfortably.

I do want a stretchy one like a moby for ds for the summer.
