Any one else hoping for a 2014 baby?

I'm hesitantly dipping my baby toe in the pool after having a mc last October. I'm 4+2 today with my first and hoping and praying this one sticks.

Here's to 2014!

Oh and also there is a brand called Green Bottle who do cordial and sparkling stuff. The sparkling ginger and lemongrass is mice and the ginger and lemongrass cordial is lovely with hot water!

TobyLerone · 10/05/2013 20:41

Hope tomorrow night goes ok for you, Penny.

YY to the Bottle Green stuff. We're working our way through shedloads of BG sparkling elderflower and pomegranate leftover from our wedding.

The leftover wine and prosecco will have to wait :(

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 10/05/2013 20:44

yoni tough on them - if you need a seat, you need one. That's what the badge is for! Out of interest, where did you get yours?

pod am trying to eat really well now in case nausea hits me and I can't face it, like laying down a base of good food! Prob has no effect, but it keeps me happy.

Also, yy to the bloating. Loads of water and mint tea is helping a bit.

sultanajo Bottlegreen ginger and elderflower (fizzy) is on half price offer in Waitrose right now - it's v refreshing.

chocoloulou33 · 10/05/2013 20:45

Sultanajo · 10/05/2013 21:15

humpty & toby I love the sparkling bottle green ginger, but when I saw it today in asda it was nearly £4! However, if its halfprice in waitrose I will pop down there tomorrow and stock up! Hurray! X

MissMedusa · 10/05/2013 21:20

I'm very sorry missm, I remember exactly how you feel all too well. Hoping it still turns out for the best.

SpecificDreamRabbit · 10/05/2013 21:23

So sorry to hear about the spotting, missmakes, but I have read in lots of places that spotting and some bleeding is very common in early pregnancy. Hope it all turns out okay.

SpecificDreamRabbit · 10/05/2013 21:25

Talking about commutes, mine is only awful for about twenty minutes, and then I get to switch to a mostly empty train, but I'm still a bit worried about the idea of feeling sick during it!

humpty, I think the correct procedure for vomming on the train is to pick the person who looks the most annoying and aim for them! I plan to go for the inevitable person listening to very, very loud music on inadequate headphones Grin

Yoni, there's no way I can wear a baby on board badge yet? I would definitely forget to take it off and swan into the office with it on! I don't think my boss is going to be over the moon about it, so I need to plan how I'm going to tell him quite carefully?.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who's farting like a trooper, haha. I'm sooo bloated at the mo!

sultanjo? herbal teas, maybe?

enjoyingscience · 10/05/2013 21:32

I've been having stomach cramps all afternoon. Got in the car and pretty much farted all the way home. Feeling all better now!

Now sitting on the sofa with my jeans unbuttoned. Bloating is soo glamerous, eh.

LittlePeaPod · 10/05/2013 22:23

MissMakes I am so sorry you are going through this. I have been their and its so heart breaking. I completely understand why you would come here. My thoughts are with you and your DF. Xx

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 10/05/2013 22:30

sultanajo it's the 750ml bottles though.

enjoying I fart like a trooper in AF week anyway, so at least my DH is used to it. It's bad though - not stinky yet, but CONSTANT wind.

LittlePeaPod · 10/05/2013 22:36

enjoying & Humpty. I have been farting every other day constantly for a few weeks now. It's not easy the blasted feeling. I fel like I have a rubber ring round my middle.

Also can't remember who said it but I can't stand anything tight rond my belly...

LittlePeaPod · 10/05/2013 22:36

That ahold read .... Not easing the bloated feeling.....

Yonionekanobe · 10/05/2013 22:43

So sorry missmakes Been there and know the heartache all too well - wishing you the very best of luck for the future.

Badges can be ordered (free) from TFL via their website.

Currently on bus home after curry. Others have gone to pub but I feel too sick and tired. Feel quite bad as my cousin and his girlfriend are here from the States and this was meant to be our big night out (DD staying with PILs), but they were understanding. I had to tell them today - have avoided doing so all week but tonight would have been obvious and I'm a little more confident in sharing the news after scan today.

Yonionekanobe · 10/05/2013 22:45

Definitely know the feeling re. nothing tight on belly and in having similar with things round my chest. Really struggled with my running backpack the other day as it fastens at both.

SunnySentiments · 10/05/2013 23:06

Evening all.

I haven't had a chance to catch up properly today but just wanted to send Flowers to Missmakes. So sorry you are having to go through this and I hope you are taking it easy. Will be thinking of you and we are all here for any support you need [hugs]

extracrunchy · 11/05/2013 00:08

Thanks everyone for being so kind. I'm just keeping fingers crossed I just had a crazy cycle and everything's ok. 2 weeks to next scan feels like a lifetime - don't know how I'm going to get there!

extracrunchy · 11/05/2013 00:09

Missmakes - know what you're going through and thinking of you. It's almost worse not knowing either way! If it helps, I had a bleed with my first pregnancy and he's now 2, so don't despair. Hugs!
