iclaudius · 29/03/2013 21:41

wish you were all here ...we live near (v near...too near) a lovely renowned shop and tea rooms and ds ran down and bought a dozen hot crosseres first thing - then he went to his cookery class ( love him) and made a dozen (swoon) and meanwhile dp had gone to tesco on my orders to buy some and bought 36.
Three hours later the ocado came and i'd forgotten - another 28!!
Good job i have a lot of bairns!
Re itchy skin - mine is not so much itchy as properly SORE - i get these tiny red lines on legs and tummy. Clarins huile tonic cures it but it keeps coming back so i'm starting to lash the stuff on now.
Barely eaten today as weight spiralling but now awaiting dinner and then i have ...hot cross buns and turkish delight! Baby will be jumping!

Supershiv1 · 29/03/2013 21:56

Haha iclaudius using my spidey senses I have seen that guavas is due 16th July, which would make 17th July the royal due date (that was also my original due date).
[bugrin]

TotallyEasterEggFlipped · 29/03/2013 22:08

Grrr. I was hoping the royal baby would be due earlier than that. (I want to be able to avoid using the same name!) I'm due on 18th.

Kate, it's a race!

dinkystinky · 29/03/2013 23:01

Wow iclaudius - your place sounds like hot cross bun central!

Totally - I reckon Kate and Wills will be going for ver traditional names. Would love it if they went for Chardonnay or Kai though :-)

orangebubbles · 29/03/2013 23:24

Princesd Chardonnay!!! Hmmm! Funny Dinky.

Hope you're all warm and well and enjoying the easter weekend. Trying to snow outside! Ughh!

I've been starting to feel quite uncomfy now and babe is high up and forcing my organs up rapidly depleting my lung capacity! Everything is becoming a real struggle. How's everyone else doing?

iclaudius · 30/03/2013 01:25

I get to moot my section date ... Nervous now it'll be a royal clash!

Guavasforbreakfast · 30/03/2013 05:19

Hehe sorry iclaudius forgot to reply to that bit! Grin at shiv's spidy sense. I've heard from a secret media source (making myself sound like a spy - really not Smile) that it's the 17th. But have heard it nowhere else so they're either wrong or very good at keeping secrets. In which case OOPS I just blew it Wink

PhieEl06 · 30/03/2013 09:17

Wow I keep getting so behind lately.
Dinky great to hear you had a nice massage, think its something I might look into... Hinting to OH for birthday presents! & totally thank you, OH seems confident interview was good, fingers crossed now that he gets a call back in the next week, it will be such a massive relief if he finally gets a job.
Supershiv glad to hear you had a good scan, on the up side at least you get to see your baby often now! Smile
MightBe I was that convinced that Spocketta was a boy that I actually felt quite sad when I found out he was actually a she. We had Henry picked out for names, I knew what the nursery would look like, I had all these cute boy outfits saved in my bookmarks so it really took me by surprise, I definitely know how you feel, but once you hear "that" name it will fit. That's how it happened for me, still a little Envy at those having boys but hey ho just means little spocketta may have a sibling one day. Smile
Cantreach congratulations on team pink & welcome back!

Re. Hot Cross Buns my craving for all foods I think about is back & thanks ladies I now want hot cross buns! Why is there none in my house already?! [buhmm]

Hahahahaha iclaudius hot cross bun overload!

Orange not good to hear your uncomfortable! Sad Hoping things get easier!

Re. Kate's Due Date I'm really not happy about this!! Am I the only one that don't want my little one brought up with the comments of "Ooo royal birthday" it's like overshadowing my little one... Maybe I'm just grumpy haha! Blush

Off to see the touring production of Cats this afternoon! Very very excited! Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter weekend! [bugrin]

24 weeks! jumping around like a mad woman viability dance. Grin

dinkystinky · 30/03/2013 09:45

Phie - every baby born in 2013 is going to be overshadowed by the royal baby. I really wouldn't worry on it too much - after all, not much anyone can do about it! I was convinced ds1 was a girl till the 20 WK scan - when I found out he was a boy I was disappointed but now I have him and ds2 I wouldn't change them for the world.

Happy chocolate and buns weekend. I have had so much chocolate today and its only 9am :( today was egg exchange and managed a whole giant kinder surprise while watching the news. Will save my Lindt egg and bunnies for tomorrow.

Guavasforbreakfast I use loads of E45 lotion right out the bath, my skin has really improved the last few weeks and no more itching.

Abzs · 30/03/2013 10:30

I'm not bothered about the royal birth overshadowing my own. There'll be a massive fuss for a few weeks then for its first birthday, but I can't imagine much more than that. Then we'll all get over it, and very few people will remember the exact day. Does any one remember Prince William's birthday?

I expect we'll have rather too much to think about by that point any way.

MightBeMad · 30/03/2013 10:58

I'm with you Abz. There will be no birth more important to me and my nearest and dearest this year than Mad Junior's and that's all the attention he needs. I find the whole royal circus quite entertaining anyway. It must be hard for them, but it's quite nice to have something positive for people to focus on, the rest of the news is all so depressing Smile

iclaudius · 30/03/2013 11:07

I don't like being pg at the same time as Kate though ... Where's her sudden billowing back fat? < sulks>

MightBeMad · 30/03/2013 11:24

Hidden under her lovely coats iclaudius Grin

TotallyEasterEggFlipped · 30/03/2013 13:12

My only concern with the royal baby is trying to avoid using the same name. I like fairly traditional names, which I suspect they'll probably be going for too. I can't imagine a royal baby River or Willow.
The rest of it I find a little entertaining I suppose.

elliejjtiny · 30/03/2013 18:59

Prince William's birthday is 21st June abzs [bugrin]. I'm useless at remembering when to order school dinners or when DH is going to be late home from work but anything completely pointless I always remember.

re royal baby. I don't mind if I give birth on the same day as Kate but I do get quite irrational when people have their babies at 38ish weeks, especially when they are due after me.

DS1 and DS2 have gone to the PIL's for 2 nights so DH, I and DS3 have had a slobbing around weekend. Went into town to try and buy an outfit for my neice but everything I liked I knew my sister would hate. Let DH choose in the end.

While I was in ASDA there were 2 ladies in the baby girls clothes section. One browsing and another looked like she was keeping watch. I was wondering if they were very unsubtle theives and one of them said to me that she was pregnant with a girl but didn't want people to know she knew the sex so her mum was looking out for any family/friends walking past while she went pink shopping!

DH wanted to find out if Severus was a boy or a girl and then not tell anyone but after that I'm glad we don't know. Will be hard not to find out at the 4d scan though.

Abzs · 30/03/2013 19:23

Next time there's a pub quiz ellie you're on my team!

iclaudius · 30/03/2013 21:22

elliejj eek that will be me !! I do feel a bit guilty after having gone a week over with my first five! I will be pushing for 38 weeks this time and it's such a relief. makes pregnancy SO much easier as people under estimate the last few weeks....

Calmisthemantra · 30/03/2013 22:28

Just checking in - been keeping an eye on things but keep getting distracted by dull things like nappy changes, feeding baby lunch etc. only caught up on the last page so probably missed lots. Not much to report really, had weird tummy ache pain for a few days but put it down to doing too much and really aggravating my SPD. Dd is switching between gorgeous model baby and temper tantrum central. DH has man flu and boy do we all know about it. Suddenly feeling very pregnant - my fault for telling everyone and anyone how great I've been feeling for the past few weeksHmm

Not too fussed over a royal baby sharing the same date but hope I go first just in case of any name clashes.

orangebubbles · 30/03/2013 23:31

Aww I don't think anybody can overshadow the birth of YOUR baby, not even Kate and Wills and their baby. If baby orange arrives the same date as the royal one well so be it, I'd embrace it actually.

Please no queue jumping guilt trips! I actually went early with DD1 and one of the silly cows in my NCT class got all pissed off about it and even now raises it in a really spiteful way!!! They come when they come, end of! No one actually goes early to beat you to it or wind you up! Just the luck of the draw!

Happy Easter! Make the most of the extra sweet treats tomorrow and don't forget the clock change too Smile

TotallyEasterEggFlipped · 31/03/2013 08:31

The Easter bunny has been! Chocolate! [bugrin]

orangebubbles · 31/03/2013 08:36

Yay! Lots of it [bugrin]

dinkystinky · 31/03/2013 09:17

Morning all and happy choc fest day today! The sun is shining and we're taking the boys to Beaulieu today - there should be something for everyone, Cars for DH, James Bond cars for DS1 and Easter bunny and eggs for DS2. And for me... hmm, a monorail to avoid having to walk around too much. Feeling abit achy today after sleeping in a hotel bed without my usual duvet/pillows combo - hey ho, only 14-16 more weeks of it to go.

I agree with Orange - no queue jumping guilt needed (though understand the irritation of still waiting for your baby when everyone else has theres - DS1 was 2 weeks overdue and had to be evicted in the end, despite trying everything to get him out). Babies come when they want to - or when the Drs say they have to - and there is nothing you can do about it except sit back and try to enjoy the ride.

Have a lovely Easter Sunday all.

Happy Easter everyone!!!!!

Morning all!

Has been a while since I've been on here, lovely to hear about everyone's developing bumps! All well here, am 24+3 now and am loving all the kicks. I've been playing a bit of music to the bump in the evenings - not sure what good it is doing him/her but it's certainly sending me off to sleep!

I know what you all mean about the royal baby, have had helpful comments from MIL on how Kate is barely showing at all and none of my overcoats fit me anymore Hmm I think I would prefer that I beat Kate to it but she is apparently due a day before me (same as EggFlipped).

Has anyone looked into natal hypnotherapy / hypnobirthing? The few people I have spoken to absolutely rave about it. I'm tempted but not sure if it's a great big con or if it might be the best thing I've ever spent my hard earned cash on.

What are everyone's views on going to a concert at 27 weeks? We have standing tickets for one of my favourite bands but am a bit concerned about standing for such a long period of time. I reeeeally don't want to miss it!

I suppose I had better start the day. Happy Easter all! DH has bought me a tremendous bunch of flowers in lieu of an egg - he has managed to source some of the types of flowers we had at our wedding! Ah. Smile But I also get to share his eggs. Win win!

24+3
