Before I found out I was pregnant one Saturday night I slept for 10 hrs was up for 4 an had a nap for 3 and went to bed early that night too.

Saundy · 16/03/2013 10:38

Haha I would call that a perk Fairy though its unlikely they'll be open at this time.

That sounds right up my street Dizzy I was so unprepared for this, I expected maybe some MS, some nice big boobs and other than that to not even know I was preggers at this stage - wrong on all counts!

Dizzy81 · 16/03/2013 10:42

Fairy, do it. I was craving salty chps yesterday for breakfast yesterday.

Oh dear saundy I've got the bigger boobs, no ms but tired all the bloody time with the occasional ditzy moment - is that the start of baby brain?

Saundy · 16/03/2013 10:53

Could well be Dizzy though an ability to keep up with this thread is proof its not too critical yet Wink

Fairydogmother · 16/03/2013 11:02

Pity it's not open yet!

MummaPanda · 16/03/2013 11:27

fairy I now have nausea and diarrhea Sad not fun.

My OH wants us to book an early private scan YAY! No idea how I find out prices/places etc though....any ideas? Google wasnt a huge help, should I call my docs and ask?

getoffthecoffeetable · 16/03/2013 12:29

I think midwife gave us details for private scan or there might have been an advert in the Bounty pack we had. You could always post a thread on the boards to ask where people recommend that's by you cleo
Up at stupid o 'clock with DS this morning then DH took him supermarket shopping so went back to bed, could only sleep for an hour but I think I'm ready for a nap now!

busyprocrastinating · 16/03/2013 13:34

Well I got up played with dd for an hour then fell asleep on the sofa. I can't believe how tired I am

SusieSu20 · 16/03/2013 14:16

Hi again, thanks for all the welcome messages! I can't believe how many new messages there are since last night! I'm not having any morning sickness at all but am feeling exhausted in the evenings. I'm falling asleep on the sofa around 8.30 most nights and only wake up to drag myself up to bed!

Haverina, having weird twinges and pains is so normal and nothing to worry about. Please don't look up symptoms on Google, you'll be scared to death by all the horror stories on there!

I'm so new to this; what does CFS mean?!

harverina · 16/03/2013 14:31

Another one that is so so tired. It's worse than that it's just like having no energy at all, stingy eyes, a need to just close my eyes!!!

SusieSu20 · 16/03/2013 14:34

Oh it's Chronic Fatigue Syndrome isn't it? Sorry, I thought it was another MN acronym!

That must be really hard SuffolkNWhat, can't imagine having that on top of pregnancy tiredness.

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies!!

I finally got my booking appt through for Thursday so they managed to fit me in before I head to oz and then have got my scan on 11th apr so will only have to wait 3 days after I get back. Now the dates have come in it suddenly all feels a bit more real and it all feels really surreal again. Think I'm going to have to let work know as both appts fall right in the middle of days I'm teaching so will have to let them know ASAP so they can get cover for me-don't think they wi be very impressed but think I'll have to suck it up and make that job number 1 on Monday.....eeekk!!!!

Totally with you all with the tiredness except the weird thing is I seem to always wake up early but then just lie there feeling like I haven't got the energy to move.

Also really can't get enough of crisps at the moment and hardly ever eat them normally. I'm normally a total sweet tooth but I could totally take it or leave it at the moment.

Fairydogmother · 16/03/2013 15:05

I'm in bed as I feel rotten! Was a bit constipated (TMI lol) so found a pregnancy friendly laxative and its def working! Has helped a lot but still feel a bit crap. It's peeing down here too and I've to go and sort my horse out soon - bleugh!

vix206 · 16/03/2013 15:07

Fairy - I'm on lactulose which is helping me. I suffered terribly last time, and it complicated my labour as my bowel was impacted which was so painful I couldn't even feel contractions! (they told me it would 'all come out during labour' Sadly that was not the case!)

Anyway, not taking any chances this time! On the lactulose from day 1 Grin

Just add cakes and my will power not to lick the spoon was very strong.

stuffthenonsense · 16/03/2013 16:19

I'm also with the tiredness, and my sickness is annoyingly helped by eating. My youngest was up from 4.30 this morning but DH kindly took over from 5.30-8.30 then took us all out for breakfast. I have finally given up the need to poas, at last, at 7+1.

Where are we up to on due dates? Are we still expecting newcomers from about mid-November? This group could be huge!!!

vix206 · 16/03/2013 16:26

I could be wrong but I don't think we've had anyone yet from 20th November onwards...

Lozcat86 · 16/03/2013 16:26

Im with you all on the tiredness front, ive never been so tired as ive been this last week. It was my birthday yesterday and instead of staying up celebrating i wanted to be tucked up in bed!
Getting a little nausea in the evening but not sickness as yet, boobs have got bit bigger and OH reckons im getting a little bump....think it may just be regular flab hthough Grin

SusieSu20 · 16/03/2013 16:28

Not had our due date confirmed yet but calculators online tell me 14/11/13; so I managed to sneak in just before mid-November!

suprisepitstop · 16/03/2013 17:31

So ive just dragged myself around the shops looking at bras as i seem to have gone up two cup sizes, c to almost an e- how already. i read that at some point you should go for underwire free bras. but all of these in my local m&s and really rubbish mini house of fraser are all horrible full cupped monstrosities.
Can anyone please advise where to go and what to look for? I came home emptu handed as it made me far too sad to buy any of those horrors
