Hi,

Trying to keep off of her until scan on Friday, just hoping all is ok.....although it'd better be as we've bought loads already. Oops.

I am defo showing, my jeans are all fitting fine but my tops don't cover my belly, I'm only 12+2 so I'm going to be huuuuuugggggeeee!!

Keepsmilingsunshine · 11/03/2013 20:17

I know Purple I can't get over how many of us are due on the 13th. I only realised it was a Friday 13th the other day when I put 2 and 2 together...turned 13 weeks on Friday and due date 13th!

ION...we got our NT results back today and no figures mentioned just says I'm low risk. Very pleased with that!

Now just waiting for some sign of pregnancy other than my overeating, like a bump (rather than the many rolls of flab) or flutters. I did think I felt movement a while ago but nothing in weeks so thinking it must have been wind.

Good luck with scans tomorrow ladies.

kimjayne · 11/03/2013 20:27

Keepsmiling-.Im.glad it's not just me that received a low risk letter without mention of any results/figures. It must just be the way certain hospitals do things.
I'm starting to relax a bit now.... Wonder what I will find to panic about next!

BinarySolo · 11/03/2013 20:29

Dh is trying to get me to go to the doctors tomorrow about my ms. I don't think there's any point. I'm not even being sick every day and it's not like I can't keep anything down so I don't think they'll do anything aside from telling me to eat ginger biscuits. I've bought some and it definitely doesn't work.

Serg, I'm 12+2 too (I think!) with scan on Friday. ;)

juniper9 · 11/03/2013 20:31

I bought five pairs of trousers (mainly work) in the January sales and haven't had a chance to take them up yet. I tried them on earlier, and only two will go over my bump! Actually, one pair sits under my bump.

What a waste! Will have to sit in the drawers for 18 months or so!

Readytosettle · 11/03/2013 21:12

frog I can feel the same as u. Only when I'm standing up too.

andadietcoke · 11/03/2013 21:18

frogchops no idea if it was for twins or BMI over 30. I definitely have a bump, and have had excruciating pains, although they've calmed down recently, and are less frequent and don't last as long. At least we had a few weeks to get used to the idea before everyone else had an opinion on it! Whatever happens, you'll be fine. Promise x

HettySunshine · 11/03/2013 21:19

Keepsmiling and sunshine, I am due on the 13th too!

The sonographer moved me forward a day so I'm another one for the list. I hope there isn't a queue for the birthing pool! Smile

fl0b0t · 11/03/2013 22:10

binary sorry you feel rubbish still. Many people (including myself) find the constant nausea more debilitating than vomiting (unless of course the vomiting is severe). My medication has reduced the vomiting but not the nausea. It is worth seeing the gp to see what they can do :)

Eeeknumber3 · 12/03/2013 07:36

Hello ladies, see to have missed a lot of thread! Congrats to all with good results and so sorry for those of us still feeling pants. Got our nuchal results back and came back as 1:4990, which I am so happy with, considering I'll be 37 at term, much lower risk than my DD 5 years ago. Nuchal measurement was 1.2! Everything else looked fine at scan, heart valves, liver, stomach, kidneys etc...she said she would guess bubs was a girl, but she wasn't 100%! I don't care either way!

Eeeknumber3 · 12/03/2013 07:37

Oooo andi got moved back 2 days to 22nd, so will change that!

Girraferama · 12/03/2013 08:07

Me too for the 13th.. Moved orwardstwo days at scan but not updated the stats lst yet.. We'll have to start a wager on who pops first!!

Kittenkatzen · 12/03/2013 08:09

Argh help me stop panicking please - couldn't get the car out this morning because of the snow so I had to walk 45 mins to the station....about halfway I slipped and fell over on the ice Sad. Managed to grab a wall as I fell and ended up landing on one knee (ouch) so didn't hit bump at all so rationally I know everything's fine but it shocked me and now I can't help worrying. Someone slap me for being precious please - I slipped an scraped my knee, that's all, nothin to worry about...is there?? Sad

Kittenkatzen · 12/03/2013 08:10

Sorry for awful typing...

HettySunshine · 12/03/2013 08:24

Kitten, I'm sorry you fell and hurt yourself but your baby will be fine. (S)he's so well protected on there that even if you had bumped your tummy you wouldn't have done any damage. Give your midwife a call to put your mind to rest but honestly, everything is fine.

Except your knee. Prop it up at work and demand some sympathy! X

Kittenkatzen · 12/03/2013 08:36

Thanks hetty I know you're right, in really not normally this much of a wimp about things honest!

HettySunshine · 12/03/2013 09:08

I'm exactly the same. Every little twinge, ache, red bit and poor old DP is required to attend immediately and tell me everything is fine! It's okay, we're allowed!

BinarySolo · 12/03/2013 09:31

Kitten, I fell and landed on my stomach at 34 weeks pregnant and ds was absolutely fine.

Honestly, your body will protect the baby amazingly well, bit I can understand the fall making you feel vulnerable.

Eeeknumber3 · 12/03/2013 10:03

Kitten, your baby will be fine. I fell down our stairs, badly at 22 weeks with DD and was terrified, but midwife said babies are generally unaffected, even by car accidents etc! I feel your own personal pain in falling on bloody ice and snow, I fellow our drive a year and a bit ago and broke my leg and ankle, 8 weeks in plaster with 2 small children was mare! I refused to go to hosp and walked round on it for four days, insisted it was just a sprain...so if your leg aches get it checked!!

Kittenkatzen · 12/03/2013 10:07

Thanks ladies Smile. eek you poor thing hobbling around on a broken ankle for all that time! Pretty sure the only real damage done has been to my ego though - oh, and my coat which I've discovered must have scraped against the wall as I fell so now has a rip in the elbow Angry

andadietcoke · 12/03/2013 10:13

Oh kitten I know how scary that is! I fell tummy down and was fine. This is one incidence where googling may actually help. The only miscarriages caused by falls I found were proper falling down stairs falls and blunt traumas when someone had got kicked in the stomach or something. Stop worrying (she says!) x

Kittenkatzen · 12/03/2013 10:55

Thanks dietcoke, I have managed to pull myself together a bit now thankfully, it's daft isn't it when you know you're being silly about something but can't seem to help it! Am now getting more annoyed about having torn my nice smart winter coat - it was new this year Sad

Hope everyone else is having a better day than me so far!

Readytosettle · 12/03/2013 11:17

I'm having a baby! Due date now 23rd September :-) proof that early private scan dates are not to be trusted!

HettySunshine · 12/03/2013 11:40

I'm at home with a head cold. I couldn't breathe through my stupid blocked up nose all night so I kept waking up with a dry mouth and horrible headache. I actually feel a little bit better now but still not brilliant and every time I try to lie down for a nap my nose blocks up again. Curled up on the sofa under a blanket watching Mayday instead - did anyone watch it? It's chilling.
