topslou sending you very best wishes - how are you doing this morning?

cazboldy · 09/03/2013 10:27

topslou - really hope things are better with you this morning. How crap that noone is available to do scans at the weekend Sad and Angry fair enough not to do routine appointments, but think there should be some cover for emergencies!!

roofio87 · 09/03/2013 10:40

topslou fingers xd for you. hope you're ok, must be v stressful!! xx

Irishfairy · 09/03/2013 10:47

Topslou wishing you the best of luck and keeping my fx for you... Hope everything eases up for you over the weekend and that the wait isn't too long until your scan on Monday.

Sal1977 · 09/03/2013 10:51

Try not to panic just yet lovely, there have been loads if us who have had some bleeds and clots etc and everything is fine.

Putting my feet up didn't work for me as I just sat there and stewed about it, so DP took us to the beach for a walk and a picnic in the car and a cuppa in a cliff top cafe to take my mind off it. Of course it didn't work completely, but gave us space to make plan B if this one was a duffer.

My midwife said to me that if you are going to miscarry it will happen if you are laying on the sofa or down at the gym, and quite often it looks like less bleeding when you are lying down due to gravity and smaller amounts coming out at a time so it appears to go in for longer. Guess it makes sense.

FX here for you. Xxxxx

Soupqueen · 09/03/2013 10:58

Topslou, fingers crossed for you.

Natalie and Feminist, I'm 3rd April too, 11:20.

I've not been around much so have missed lots of chat. We got notice of eviction (not because we're dodgy, honest, our landlord wants to move into the property himself) so it's been a bit stressful. I'm usually great in a crisis, but have been a weepy mess over this. I'm blaming the hormones! Operation emergency flat hunt has now commenced!

Hope you're all keeping well.

Natalieand · 09/03/2013 11:11

Oh dear soupqueen I too have been house hunting without the emergency bit and that we stressful enough so don't envy u there!

Eeeek glad I've got some scan date buddies hope everything runs smoothly on April 3rd for you guys and make sure you let me no how u get on :-)

I really wanna get to the stage where I can feel baby move n e one else feeling like?

roofio87 · 09/03/2013 13:17

this ever expanding tummy id getting ridiculous now. I've just seen a girl I used to work with and she actually asked me if I'm pregnant!!!!!! I admitted it as I didn't want her to feel bad Haha!! she said she only asked because I look exactly the same as ever except for a swollen rounded tummy so she immediately guessed. I'm wearing the baggiest most covering outfit today too!!!!

PseudoBadger · 09/03/2013 13:52

Hi everyone, Topslou - my fingers are crossed for you.

I'm having a weird day. I was 8 weeks yesterday and I've been worried as I haven't been feeling pregnant again; I feel so much less pregnant this time than the last 2 times in so many ways.

Today I've been unable to keep any food down and am feeling nauseous all day. I thought my vomiting has been due to my very blocked nose as this often makes me vomit. But not usually as much as this! So I'm hopeful that I am still pg and things are ok.

I'm going to mention my worries at Booking on Tuesday and see what they say.

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/03/2013 13:56

Good luck with the house hunt soup queen. How long have you been given to find somewhere new? That is a stress you could have done without. But I suppose you get to pick somewhere suitable for your new family.

It seems most of us are already bigger than we were pre-pregnancy. I don't believe my book that says you won't look any different in the first trimester. I am off to buy a bra three cup sizes bigger than I was Shock and some maternity or large size tights after my driving lesson today and may have a sneaky peak at other maternity clothes to see what is out there. Maybe the big tummy spaces will make me feel slim! Hopefully they don't fit already!

I don't feel particularly up for a lesson, I am really tired. I drive an old automatic but will need to use public transport or my DH's manual car when the baby comes as my tiny 3 door car would be difficult to get a car seat in and out of and it has also just had a broken head gasket which means it is going to conk out at any moment and the repair costs would be more than the car is worth. I am hoping it will hold on for a bit longer. We can't afford a new car just as we are trying to save for a baby and prepare to lose my income. Confused

Rockchick1984 · 09/03/2013 13:58

Pseudo I've got the opposite problem - hardly any pregnancy symptoms last time, I'm now so nauseous for the last few days that I'm struggling to eat! I don't think you need to worry, symptoms do come and go, but always worth mentioning if you're concerned - that's what the midwives are there for!

Topslou keeping everything crossed for you.

Good luck flat hunting Soup

Roofio I'm ok in the mornings but by teatime I'm so bloated! I've found baggy clothes actually accentuate it though, so I've generally been going for a fitted top, jeans and a blazer type jacket - big scarves were my saviour last pregnancy and I can see I'll need them again within the next couple of weeks!!

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/03/2013 14:00

Badger I am glad you have the slight reassurance of feeling sick again. I think I read that sickness and some other symptoms are often worse first time round as your body isn't used to being pregnant. Maybe you are just a pro at it now! Hopefully your midwife will be able to reassure you more at your booking in appointment.

Smitten1981 · 09/03/2013 14:28

Fingers crossed for you topslou how awful that they won't see you until Monday.

Anyone else gone mental for fruit? From yesterday to now it's all I've wanted to eat. I've gone through a pack of pineapple and a tin of peaches already today.

On the plus side my nausea has eased. Maybe it was more to do with the kidney infection than ms?

pinksky · 09/03/2013 14:40

That sucks Soupqueen. Hopefully you'll find a lovely new home to nest in.

Sal, you're right of course that nothing will change the outcome. I hope you're doing ok. I'm still bleeding intermittently, but just think it's one of those things.

Totally agree, roofio and orangeblossom, I'm definitely bigger. Have been wearing my sports bra as all my underwireds are uncomfy, and my belly is very round. Two friends at work are 20 weeks and only just starting to show. I sadly think I'm just not going to be one of those elegant neat pregnant women!

Hope your lesson goes ok anyway, orange - no fun when you're tired.

Badger I'm glad you've got your booking in appt soon, I hope it's reassuring.

pinksky · 09/03/2013 14:47

Oh, re clothes, I got one of these tops for £15 in house of Fraser yesterday - the ruchey front does wonders at hiding bellies!

JethroTull · 09/03/2013 15:16

I know what you mean about fruit Smitten, I can't stop eating it.

No symptoms here other than tiredness. My boobs are definitely getting bigger but was only ever an A/B cup so could do with the extra inches. Got my scan 2 weeks on Monday. Can't wait.

Flyer747 · 09/03/2013 15:24

I also have a little pudgy tummy coming along nicely. My uniform is a size 8 and is so uncomfortable just waiting for my maternity uniform to turn up. I read in what to expect when expecting that come week 8 your clothes will start to feel tight. I am avoiding the scales like the plague!

roofio87 · 09/03/2013 15:36

The madest part is that I haven't gained any weight, 1 pound since before I was pg!! so I know its defo not fat!!Haha!

Natalieand · 09/03/2013 15:57

I also haven't braved the scales yet also had my first consultant appt came thro for 19th April when ill be 14+2 so if I'm lucky I might get an extra scan cx

TheFalconsmistress · 09/03/2013 16:40

I got some fab maternity clothes on the sale from next today worth a look Smile

roxvox · 09/03/2013 16:43

I feel like I've put on loads of weight around my belly but when I jump on the scales (every Saturday morning) I have been losing it! Today is the first time my weight has gone up since I got a BFP, and it was less than a pound increase! I've definitely got a little podge going on there, but it's not enough to make my trousers uncomfortable or anything, but I have gone up a belt hole.

I saw a picture on Wikipedia yesterday (under pregnancy) and it shows that in month 3 your stomach is slightly expanded on what it was in month 1.

bluesnowfalcon · 09/03/2013 18:45

Hi all - can't keep up with you guys during the week as work is mad and all I wan tto do is sleep when I get home!

Definate expanding middle here but weight loss - 3lbs since bfp think all the throwing up is doing that although that seems to be easing.

Anyone else craving pickles? I am munching my way through pickled red cabbage, pickled onions and piccalilli - weird???

Going to have to start trying big scarves or something at work next week as people are starting to look and guess! Got my booking in for next Sunday so guess I'll find out after that a scan date - hoping for in the Easter hols so I don't need to take time off work :)

Hope everyone is ok and good luck topslou sounds like you're having a rough time Thanks
