Good girl sparks.

Boo, once they induce does labour start quickly, or can it take a while?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/04/2013 16:25

Well it's a bit who knows, could go either way, sometimes it just gets going sometimes it can take a bit to get it going, sometimes it can fail and they need to go to a section that will NOT happen to me, I have decided so the best I can do is keep an open mind and update you if and when I can. I don't go in till 8pm so presumably they're expecting the first bit to take a while.

RubberBullets · 27/04/2013 16:33

Inductions down here you have to be there for 8am

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/04/2013 16:41

Hmm just checked my instructions and it is definitely 8pm, there a time choice bit it says 8am or 8pm and the mw crossed out the am and left the pm. Maybe they are planning on putting me in the pepper room and I will be home by 9.30 Grin

RubberBullets · 27/04/2013 16:53

Fingers crossed. They say 8am here so that they have everyone in and then they hope to get round to everyone at some point during the day. I'm hoping I won't need an induction when the time comes, my SIL was there 3 days before they had time to induce her Shock

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/04/2013 21:31

Gosh I have myself in a pickle, DH has gone out and I was being really pissy with him, I can't remember why. It's not because he's gone out, he's only a few houses up the road and has only taken a couple of beers I don't mind him going to his friends, but I remember being is a mood with him and don't know why now Hmm it's so annoying and I can't ask him Confused I'm quite sure it's something he's done or said I'm never in the wrong you see I just can't remember what!

Grin boo at forgetting why you're cross. Most likely almost nothing...

sparks do you need to start making mummy friends? How were the a/n classes going, did you meet nice people? Sorry you're finding it hard, but not long now!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 28/04/2013 10:08

Sparks I totally get what you mean, I have to work really hard at controlling my reactions until I can have my AIBU chat with myself. Also with the isolating business, I have come to realise that I do this too, I tend to hibernate when I'm pg, prefer to be with the boys than making any effort to be sociable. It has been different this time because I have a some lovely friends who understand this and keep in touch and arrange visits (and won't take no for an answer). Also I have the playgroup to sort out, a lot coming up so I have to be involved, forcing me to be sociable.

Also, on the flip side of that is the one friend that I wanted to rely on and have with me through this has been a complete and utter let down and I think (for me) it has ruined the friendship :(

I remembered why I was Angry last night, DH was being a nob about spam emails Grin

1 more sleep Hmm

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 28/04/2013 11:14

Oh if it helps you to know Sparks I get grumpy with DH when he keeps trying to help me off the sofa, and when he doesn't and I end up stuck, also get grumpy if my Brew tastes a bit and many many many other small things that he just wants to help with and I fly off the deep end go a little hormonal on him about BlushGrin

SweetieTime · 28/04/2013 14:33

Grin at boo forgetting why she is pissed off with mrb. I get aibu moments with mrs all the time anyway, should I warn him I might be even worse now?

Sparks you might get some new acquaintances one twinks come along from all the mums & tots groups.

well I have felt a bit bleugh this morning. not sickly as such but like someone had taken my battery out. I didn't want to get up, which is really unusual as I normally an early riser. then I just couldn't think or perform as normal. everything was too much effort. feel a bit more peeky now but I hope this isbt going to be the way of things to comeHmm

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 28/04/2013 18:51

Grin yes Sweetie I would have a little conversation with Mr S during one of your calmer moments Wink That does sound like a very good start to some lovely symptoms you're having there, what will happen after you call the clinic tomorrow, blood tests/scan??

Can't believe how bloody thrilled and excited I still am for you :):)

Well nearly everything is ready for tomorrow, just a few last bits and bobs to put in my bag, I'm getting really nervous, I think I will call the ward tomorrow afternoon to make sure they're still expecting me and they have room, what do you think? Waiting round all day my 8pm start it winding me up a bit as well :(

SweetieTime · 28/04/2013 19:59

Boo I am so excited for you tomorrow, you make sure you eat properly and rest up as much much as you can in the day as it might be a long night. I would give them a call to make sure all is going to plan as you don't want to get your hopes up only to be let down as they are full. So what are your plans and what is DH doing?

I have to call the clinic between 1.30 - 2 and I think they will book me in for a 7 week scan. I wasn't sure but Keep made a good point that clinics all have to report their pregnancy and multiples rate so it is as much for their own info too.
So do you think they were proper symptoms earlier? I wouldn't say I have had much else as everything seems to come and go, sore boobs, funny tablet taste, lack of appetite, tummy cramps. The number of months of symptom spotting I have done and now I dont feel I have any symptoms [bloody typical emoticon]

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 28/04/2013 21:32

Well, the plan so far is I am with toddly boo in the day, Mr B has to pop to work for a bit, then it is tea just the 4 of us before DB and DM come round at about 7, then off we pop to the hospital. I need to nip out for some wrapping paper for the boys big brother gifts, and I should imagine there will be some frantic hoovering but the rest of the time will be spent resting and playing with toddly :):)

Now, let me get this straight Sweetie, feeling bleugh, sore boobs, weird taste, no appetite, tummy cramps and you don't think you have symptoms Hmm it doesn't matter at this stage if they come and go, having them come at all is what counts :) how many weeks are you?? you know symptoms often show earlier/worse in multiple pregnancies Grin I started with proper regular symptoms at about the 6-7 weeks time Wink

SweetieTime · 28/04/2013 21:57

well it goes without saying that you won't be far from my thoughts tomorrow. I am at home so will be popping on here making sure you are taking things easy. Dr Sweetie orders Wink

I am not sure how they work out my dates as it would go on the donors cycle. I think I will be about 5 weeks, fertilisation took place 3 weeks ago on Tuesday. still early for regular symptoms, should hold out a few more weeks. ignoring comments about multiples causing more symptoms

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 28/04/2013 22:32

Aaw Sweetie, thank you :) I will balance taking it easy with just busy enough to take my mind off it.

I have just had a lovely relaxing bath and a tidy up of my downstairs dept and off to bed to try and sleep.

Keep us updated on your symptoms, I love a good symptom spot :):)

Night all

keepitgoing · 29/04/2013 03:34

boo masses of luck for later, it sounds like a lovely day you have planned, and very civilised to have it all set to time. It seems odd they make you go at night though, surely then you'll be up all night?

Sweetie, sounds like you have more symptoms than me... I have low level nausea most of the time except when eating and v tired.

BTW egg collection counts as ovulation, so add 2 weeks to that to get how far on you are. That means you're 4+6 today!! :)

My boobs are still big but less sore. It seems that's normal though as my body is just used to it?

Mrkeep is home, with lots of bigger bras I ordered from m&s, as you can't get DD out here!

Good luck boo!!

RubberBullets · 29/04/2013 11:34

Hope all goes well for you later Boo

I just chased the mw again. My mw is off with a broken leg and there is a backlog of people waiting for appointments. I've told them I'm going on holiday at 13 weeks so really need things to get moving. Somebody should get back to me at some point this week so I just need to be patient. I also phoned the hospital that does the scans and they confirmed that they won't make an appointment for me until I have a booking appointment

GreenOlives · 29/04/2013 11:34

Good luck boo! Looking forward to hearing all about your sneeze birth tomorrow! Wink Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 29/04/2013 11:39

Oh Rubber how frustrating, something very similar happened to me, I have only met 'my' mw once in my whole pregnancy because of sickness. Brooking for a quick appointment and scan for you.

Thanks for the good luck, I admit to being slightly nervous absolutely terrified at the moment, trying to console myself with the fact I may be able to eat some chocolate tomorrow Grin
