Hello, yes me too!! Due 9th November and this will be my first baby at 42. Keeping everything crossed that everything goes well. Nervous, excited, happy. Still doesn't seem real. Knew from day one of missed period, longed for baby via IUI. Bit of nausea, exhaustion and achy bbs. Lovely to see others with similar due dates!!! x (I think I keep posting this in the wrong place, new to all this!)

harverina · 11/03/2013 04:38

Welcome snowdrop and huge congratulations!

Getoff I have been getting some pain and it feels a bit like the pain I get when ovulating. It's not all the time, it comes and goes.

I'm wide awake, dh just left to go to airport and I'm having a blubber, it's pathetic Hmm

stuffthenonsense · 11/03/2013 06:20

Harverina I have suffered diarhea alongside 'morning' sickness every day of every pregnancy....one of my symptoms that tell me I'm pregnant. Also get the fainting episodes. This time I am finding that I am sooo cold and unable to warm up and I have horrible nasal congestion.

Who was it posted about bacon? Have just read it thus morning.... Triggered my first wave of nausea of the day lol. And I love bacon.

Congratulationssnowdrop
I can't decide if it's cramp pains or tummy ache, I don't remember having it with DS so it's making me paranoid that something's wrong.
I have chills in the daytime but as soon as it's bedtime I'm roasting, DH isn't pleased about me turning the radiator off in our room!
It sounds like fainting is quite common in pregnancy, I hadn't realised.
It sounds like you're really suffering suffolk
Nausea is well and truly here. No MW appointment yet, am hoping she'll phone today. Just want a scan date!

williaminajetfighter · 11/03/2013 06:33

Morning pregnant women! Can I get some advice? I'm only half way through week 5 and last night and this morning getting what feels like period cramps. I know cramping is normal but this is the kind where your back aches and the pain shoots down your leg. For me I only get this when I have my period.

Yet no blood or even spotting yet.

Thoughts? Has anyone else had cramping and could they describe it? How painful is it and how similar to period pains? Sorry but I'm at 4/1 at the moment (4 pregnancies/1 birth) so v paranoid.

williaminajetfighter · 11/03/2013 06:34

Oh and big congrats Snowdrop!

MotherOfCleo · 11/03/2013 07:31

congrats snowdrop and everything crossed for you will

I went to bed early last night so I've had a good 8 hours sleep and I am even more tired this morning than last night.....doh. Work does not look appealing, especially when its snowed last night and looks freezing oitside......I want to hybernate.

getoffthecoffeetable · 11/03/2013 07:37

I've had period type pains with this pregnancy and I had them with DS, I think it's normal. I'm totally paranoid about every symptom this pregnancy although I think I was completely oblivious when I was pregnant with DS.

Dizzy81 · 11/03/2013 08:13

Morning all,

Snowdrop big congratulations.

William, I'm getting pains too - they're more like tugging pains than cramp.

Getoff, I'm glad it's not just me that's paranoid about every symptom.

I'm 5 weeks 4 days, sore boobs, stomach pains, thirst, lots of saliva but no morning sickness! Yesterday my sense of smell was bad in sainsburys walking down the met aisle, it smelt as though it had all gone off.

Hugs all.

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 09:16

Congrats snowdrop!

My nose is like a dogs - I'm smelling everything at 100 times more magnified! Hate it! My OH made bolognese the other night and I could hardly eat it - smelled very strange to me!

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 09:53

O great - a nosebleed! Yay!

Theicingontop · 11/03/2013 10:05

Managed to force down a packet of mini cheddars and a mug of tea this morning, just not a fan of eating at the moment, it makes me feel so sick when my stomach's full.

Ooh nosebleeds already?? I had them in my third trimester with DS, bloody (har) pain in the arse they are.

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 10:17

I was prone to nosebleeds as a child so not sure if that means I'm more likely to get them now?!

Feeling queasy this morning too. My tea smelled funny - v creamy and milky for some reason - so couldn't drink it! On the other hand I've acquired a taste for orange juice which I never normally drink

MotherOfCleo · 11/03/2013 10:20

fairy how far along are you? I have no symptoms at all apart from tiredness. Confused

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 11/03/2013 10:32

Has anyone been of sick with morning sickness yet? I'm at work but feel like I'm dying maybe I'm being a bit over dramatic.

It's not just the constant nausea, I have had a pounding headache for 2 weeks and I am so tired I can't think straight.

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 10:39

Mother I'm 5+4. Be pleased you've no other symptoms! Tho I understand that it can be worrying if you don't but everyone is different.

I mostly just seem to want different foods than normal

Dizzy81 · 11/03/2013 10:44

fairy I am at the same stage as you. I am booking in for a private scan in two weeks time. Am nervous as sometimes feel that something's not right - being neurotic and paranoid.

BangOn · 11/03/2013 10:48

sorry to hear the morning sickness is kicking in when she was bad & icing, it's no fun at all.

haven't felt nauseous as such, but still v. early days for me. had it quite badly with dd1 & 2, but seemed to start a bit later. i found those anti-nausea bands from boots quite helpful. this time around dd2 has a vomiting bug, so if i do end up throwing up i won'r be sure what's causing it.

supposed to be doing some reading for work but i just want to go to bed & catch up on last night's sleep.

CheeseandGherkins · 11/03/2013 11:01

Morning all. I'm not feeling sick at all yet, but then I didn't really feel sick with any of mine so I'm hoping I won't again this time. My head is killing me though, even though I'm drinking loads of water and so weeing all the time. Sooo tired all the time, I was in bed by about 9.30 last night, shattered. I'm already tired again today too and still a long day ahead.

Fairy glad your mum called, also glad they're happy for you.

Gin I'm hoping to get an early scan based on my previous history but I'll have to wait and see. The midwife is supposed to be calling me this morning to arrange booking in so I'll ask her.

okavango so sorry to hear your dad died, hope to see you back in a few weeks. Thinking of you.

DittyRatt Glad you have your booking in appointment. How are you after your fainting episode? I've felt faint a couple of times already but put it down to heat; in the house that is, it's freezing outside!

Dizzy I wouldn't take that test into account at all as you weed on the control panel. Try not to worry about that.

Purple with your history your gp or midwife could refer you for an early scan and some epus would take self referral as well. Hugs.

Harv I'd get to the drs as you shouldn't have it for over a week and you could get dehydrated.

snowdrop welcome and congratulations.

getoff Waiting for the midwife to call here too

Williamina I've had those cramps with every pregnancy, feels like I'm going to come on but don't.

5+4 I think!

MotherOfCleo · 11/03/2013 11:04

fairy im 5+5 so we are about the same. I may have a nap at my desk doh but nothing else, maybe I will pay for my lack of symptoms later on Confused

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 11:09

Mother you might be one of those people who breeze through the whole thing! Think how great that would be lol

I so want an early scan but I've mo idea when they'll call me for my first one so don't want to waste £100!

Dizzy81 · 11/03/2013 11:31

cheesethank you for that.

fairy all booked for the 26th of this month - just over the 7 week mark. We wantt to check everything is ok before we start telling people.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 11/03/2013 11:49

mother there are loads of women who don't really get symptoms. You could be one of them or they could arrive with a vengeance in week 8.

Theicingontop · 11/03/2013 12:03

Weird, checked a day-by-day pregnancy calendar just now and it says I'm six weeks pregnant today. Bounty hadn't updated my profile. Yay milestone! Just another six to go :/

MotherOfCleo · 11/03/2013 12:15

Im waiting for my letter with dates, Im sure we would all like an early scan Smile

I have checked and around this time I am helping baby grow a spine......that sounds hard so no wonder Im so tired.Grin

Yeah maybe I will suddenly get heaps of symptoms later on? Its just a bit worrying, I kind of want to feel something different to know its real. Hmm
