Very early days yet but there must be a couple of others somewhere?

I've done about another 3 tests to check whether there's still something in there! I think it's very hard until you actually see something on a scan screen

Fakebook · 11/03/2013 12:51

Mother, I also have symptomless pregnancies. It's annoying because I spend the first trimester fretting until I start feeling the baby move.

I've booked my early scan for the 25th, so fingers crossed until then. I might buy a digital test to see if things are progressing just in case!

Anyone else finding their dhs/dps stinky? My DH showers everyday, always wears clean clothes and stuff, but when I get close to him or smell his clothes I just feel like barfing. I've told him to sleep in the other room because I can't stand the smell!

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 12:52

O no lol! Thankfully I haven't got that!

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 12:53

Just thought - could it be the fabric softener or washing powder you don't like the smell of?!

Fakebook · 11/03/2013 13:01

No, because I still love snuggling my children! It's just him. He's giving off some weird smells and normally I like smelling his tshirts because I like his cologne! It's very strange!

MotherOfCleo · 11/03/2013 13:31

fake glad its not just me without symptoms.

My OH is due back tomorrow after 10 days away so I'll have to check if he stinks or not when he's back lol.

MummaPanda · 11/03/2013 14:25

Not sure if this is pregnancy related or not but I am sooo achey today! My hips, lower back and butt are killing me! And I have a headache. Waaaaa Sad

Theicingontop · 11/03/2013 14:29

Maybe you're coming down with something Mumma Sad

GinSling82 · 11/03/2013 14:37

Congrats and welcome snowdrop!

Well I have the day off work today (as I'm working 12 hour shift tomorrow) and I have slept for hours yet I'm still knackered!! Have woken up feeling a bit like I've got a hangover...tired, headachey, thirsty, slightly nauseous with the addition of supper sore boobs.

I did my last pregnancy test today, and line came up before test line and almost black. Not sure what'll do without more sticks to pee on Sad but guess my obsession had to end somewhere Grin

william I have been getting cramps on and off since the start. Sometimes they are really mild period like cramps and then sometimes I get a short burst of stronger cramps. I read somewhere to drink plenty of water - not sure how it would help but no harm in it either.

GinSling82 · 11/03/2013 14:42

Did you do anything different yesterday mumma like exercising/heavy lifting? Something like that could make you pretty achey. However I have also found that since being pregnant my back aches much more easily, like if I stand up too long or sitting in the car seems to do it too. And I wake practically every morning with a headache now!

Dizzy81 · 11/03/2013 15:17

Has anyone else started to experience a numbness in their arm?

DittyRatt · 11/03/2013 15:43

Afternoon all. Oooo we're going to need a new thread soon.

cheese after I have a fainting episode it normally takes me about 5mins to come around as a tend to feel rather dizzy.

As for smelly DH's, mine doesn't smell that bad really, me on the other hand, well I've taken to showering 3 times a day.
This dogs nose I seem to have acquired is putting me right off food, it all smells vial.

I had to tell work yesterday, after my fainting, that I am pregnant.

Has anyone else thought about there birth options yet, after getting my booking appointment yesterday I started to think about it as I know the midwife is going to ask me. And I was thinking about maybe having a home birth this time. What about everyone else?

5+6?x

Fairydogmother · 11/03/2013 15:57

Just back from walking the dogs and felt very dizzy and faint. Not like me at all!

MummaPanda · 11/03/2013 16:38

Nope did nothing unusual yesterday.
I definitely want to be in same hospital as last time as they were amazing but am hoping to be in midwife led unit this time instead of on the ward. Ended up high risk because my waters broke with dd

MotherOfCleo · 11/03/2013 16:41

fairy would I be the worst owner in the world if I skipped the dog walk tonight? Its thick snow here and the last thing I want to do is trudge through it. I guess we could have a short walk....brrrrrr, so so cold!

MTB82 · 11/03/2013 17:08

Some of these posts about smells have really been making me chuckle (not the fact it's making people feel ill obviously) but the banishing the OH to the other room made me giggle.

7+1 today and still no contact from midwife. Bit worried as off to oz a week on sun for 2.5weeks so really wanted to see someone before.if I don't get on before we go will be 12weeks by the time I see someone. Tried to call hospital to make them aware of this bit just kept getting redirected and ended up with an automated system. Not impressed!!!

MTB82 · 11/03/2013 17:11

Also just wondering, those with headaches.... Could it be due to caffeine withdrawal??

MummaPanda · 11/03/2013 17:59

I dnt drink tea or coffee anyways so not that for me, think I'm just feeling abit rubbish.

getoffthecoffeetable · 11/03/2013 18:06

I only have a cup of tea a day and have been continuing to have one a day so mine's not caffeine withdrawal.
Haven't really had any symptoms since this morning so am all paranoid again!
Anyone else getting a belly? Not sure if mine's there because I've stopped sucking it in all the time lol
Mother, your post about making a spine made me laugh! There's no wonder we're all worn out!

MummaPanda · 11/03/2013 18:17

getoff I have a belly but its mainly baby weight from dd, and bloating hehe

Theicingontop · 11/03/2013 18:20

Yes, hoping for a home birth here too.

DS' birth was traumatic for me as I had to be induced, due to DS pooping in his amniotic fluid. He was stressed because my waters had been leaking for three days, the midwife at the hospital said I was being silly and it was probably bathwater, sent me back home Hmm. It took it turning green for them to admit me. The midwife that dismissed me got told off, actually, she didn't even examine me. It was really scary when they told me my baby could be very ill because of it Sad

OH felt he didn't have much of a role, either. We want this time to be calming and natural, no interventions if at all possible and I'd quite like to be able to move around this time and use a pool.

It would be lovely if there were some other home birthers to compare notes with Grin

mother def not a bad owner for staying inside! My 2 had coats on and we got snowed on - foundered!

It was -2 when I was sorting my horse out and that's without the wind chill - brrrr

stuffthenonsense · 11/03/2013 18:38

I'm planning another home birth. It's the only way for me, I absolutely do not trust the medical establishment. I have too many experiences of policies and procedures that turn patients into numbers and totally dehumanise them. There's a good case for hospital births yes, but IMO they should be the exception not the norm. All my homebirths have been amazing. I would definitely recommend.
I have already booked my midwife and today I booked my doula. I love birth. I love babies.

Suffolk did they not give a clue as to why? Weight? Age? Medication? Previous?
