Welcome to spanish and minnie.

Sorry about the mc Spanish the very best of luck this time round.

So Envy of those of you who have lost weight. I've not put any on which is a miracle considering all the salty fatty crap I've been eating.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 01/03/2013 18:50

Oh honey I forgot to say I had cramps all through the first trimester with dd. try not to worry about it, the gp might do some bloods but will probably just tell you it's normal.

getoffthecoffeetable · 01/03/2013 19:14

Hi minnie and welcome. You'll have the same age gap with DD as I'll have with DS.

harverina · 01/03/2013 22:16

Welcome Minnie.

Does anyone else have mouth ulcers? My mouth is full of them! So much for not having many symptoms haha!

Welcome all newcomers.

We were out for a celebration meal tonight at a nice restaurant. DW struggled to get a complete meal she wanted coz everything she likes is best avoided. She had chicken to start but had to send back the dip coz it had mayonnaise. Then a burger but it went back coz it was a bit pink. To top it off, I had her favorite, pate then a med/rare steak with a couple of pints.

Should I adjust my diet to match DW? Or should I carry on as usual?

RubyWindsor · 02/03/2013 02:19

Is it just me or do any of you keep waking up in the middle of the night? For the past 2 night it's been about 2am ish then the previous two 4am and 5am ish. Confused

I don't need to use the bathroom or anything I just wake up and I'm wide awake! I'm shattered about 9.30 10 at night and wide awake at 2am Confused

Have been awake most of the night too. Am worn out already and the day hasn't even begun yet! Can't even blame DS as he wasn't up until 5.40 this morning!

stuffthenonsense · 02/03/2013 06:38

Ruby I'm awake too.

Sperminator as a hormonal woman I have to honestly say I would possibly have smiled and said you go ahead but inwardly been cursing that ill be doing all the pregnancy and you'd be taking half the credit. Look at it as an opportunity for you to both clean up your diet.

Glad it's not just me! DP was getting some serious scowls last night while he was laid snoring away and I was wide awake! See you all here about 2am then Wink

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 02/03/2013 07:17

ruby I got insomnia with dd but it hasn't hit me this time yet

Slept from 10pm to 7am Smile. I was shattered though. Went to work but finished a bit early as its Friday. We looked round 3 nurseries for dd and then had a meal out.
When we got home I pretty much flaked out and needed to havea lie down.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 02/03/2013 07:19

sperminator I'm lucky in that dh is a really picky eater, he does really eat anything on the banned list anyway. He does enjoy a drink though Envy

Theicingontop · 02/03/2013 07:51

Haha OH doesn't eat any of my favourite banned foods.

I just read on the NHS website that smoked salmon is fine as long as it's within its sell-by date. My mine is blown. Last time I spent ten months avoiding it altogether and feeling bloody rotten about it, as it was my biggest craving.

This is good news.

TheSperminator · 02/03/2013 08:15

"Stuffthenonsense" I think that's exactly what was going through DWs thoughts. And perhaps strangling me. She never said but I could see it in here eyes. Pure evil!

Thanks for the thoughts on the food. I'm happy to change my diet to match but I won't change everything. DW doesn't expect me to anyway.

Obviously I'm not pregnant but my sleeps very broken too. Wide awake since 5.40

vix206 · 02/03/2013 09:44

Hello can I join? Very early days but just got BFPs yesterday and again today. I'm expecting baby number 2 and the due date would be 15 November Smile

I'm having terrible problems sleeping, waking up at 4-5 every morning. Hope it passes quickly! A bit scared of being pregnant and exhausted with my 2.6 DS in tow Grin

Hi vix!

RubyWindsor · 02/03/2013 09:55

Hi vix! Congratulations Thanks

vix206 · 02/03/2013 09:59

Thanks everyone. I was on the August 2010 antenatal thread with my first, and loved it. Looking forward to lots of chats Grin

harverina · 02/03/2013 10:09

Me too, been waking early wide awake, the other morning I got up and did some ironing at 5 am!!! While I was doing it I felt so tired but when I was lying in bed I was wide awake!

Sperm, my dh will not be changing his diet. To be fair he probably doesn't eat a lot of the things that are banned, but when we are eating out he will get what he fancies. He doesn't really drink so that's good! Happy to have well done steak for a few months, usually take it medium so not a huge different compared to some

I am getting my hair cut and coloured today - do I need to tell my hairdresser? I think I did last time but sure someone said it doesn't really matter?

harverina · 02/03/2013 10:12

X post sorry, hi vix! I was on the April 2010 thread so our dc's are a similar age!

harverina · 02/03/2013 10:13

I should add, I don't mind what's dh eats, and I are Ltd of shellfish and smoked salmon last time round?

MTB82 · 02/03/2013 10:29

Congratulations to all the joiners!! I can't believe it was only this time last week I got my BFP. I feel like I've done about a years worth of thinking since then- mind has been on overdrive all week. Still don't think I 100% believe what is going on. I don't think it will feel real until I see that scan screen. Apparently I have to wait 10 working days from the date the GP referred me until I should expect to hear from midwife-rubbish!! Just really want a date to look forward to.

Discovered a new found love for chicken last night. Think not being able to eat some of my typical choices is going to make me discover loads of new favourites-exciting!! Such a foodie!!
