Very early days yet but there must be a couple of others somewhere?

I know what you mean MTB82, I still feel like I'm going to get AF any day now. Have to keep reminding myself that actually, it's going to be a looong time before that happens. So weird. Especially since it was our first month trying, I'm convinced I'm imagining the whole thing and the tests are wrong/misread. It all happened so quickly, my mind is catching up.

Midwife wants me to ring and book when I'm 7 weeks. I won't see a medical professional until after then. Argh! I want them to tell me I'm not going mad!

MTB82 · 02/03/2013 10:39

Our first month TTC too so big surprise. Keep thinking what are the chances. What's meant to be will be though!!

vix206 · 02/03/2013 10:42

It was our first month trying too. I'm 35 at the end of the month and I wasn't expecting it to be this easy.

Theicingontop · 02/03/2013 10:46

"This trying for a baby thing is quite fun, good thing it'll take a few months eh?"

Pahaha.

RubyWindsor · 02/03/2013 10:53

7 months for us! I was starting to send myself insane symptom spotting every month, now I'm sending myself insane even with a BFP! I need to see that midwife!!!!!

Mistyshore · 02/03/2013 11:11

Hi Vix I was on the August 2010 thread too (name change), there seem to be a good few of us with dc's at 2 ish.

Since having ds, I'd forgotten my irrational obsession with my used toilet roll when I'm duffed. I can't help myself, every time I go for a pee I'm checking for signs of af.

I'd have killed for a glass of wine last night, Friday night just didn't feel like Friday night! Blush

honey86 · 02/03/2013 12:26

im thinking of telling close family today... but im terrified about what my dad says... his reaction matters the most and i know hes going to be unhappy about it :( hell prob say i wont be able to cope etc etc x

MinnieMooo · 02/03/2013 14:15

I am doing that too Mistyshore. I did the same thing last time because I had a MC before I had my DD. Also having trouble sleeping even though I am exhausted.
I am going to a hen night in 3 weeks (which I organised). It's with all my NCT buddies so they will know straight away because I won't be drinking and am usually a 5am finisher on a big night out. Any suggestions?

DittyRatt · 02/03/2013 14:27

Hi everyone and welcome/congratulations to all the newbies.
Is anyone updating the stats I would do it but I can't copy and paste on my kindle.

I was wide awake at about 3am this morning didn't get back to sleep till 5am then was up at 6:30.

DH won't be giving anything up food wise but he is limiting his alcohol intake.

MTB82 I know how you feel re,wanting a date to look to I am currently waiting for the midwife to contact me for booking appointment but my GP said it could be 10-14day's.

My DD is 2.2 December 2010.

I haven't told anyone yet apart from DH, however my mum and nannan know as they guessed, my MIL knows as she guessed and my 2 SIL' s know as my MIL told them.

Theicingontop · 02/03/2013 14:31

Tell me I'm not alone with the horrible mood swings. Or maybe it's just me being a moody cow? I feel like I could murder OH for no good reason.

RubyWindsor · 02/03/2013 15:05

You are not alone. I've just got home from work flopped on the settee and cried my eyes out, I have no idea why, though probably something to do with lack of sleep! I snapped at DP a few times yesterday too, I did apologise soon after when I realised it was me being unreasonable!

Fairydogmother · 02/03/2013 15:49

My sister wasn't that excited when I told her. She thought I was joking! Wish she'd just said congrats Sad

Minesahotchocolate · 02/03/2013 15:54

Hi Ladies, is there space for another? I can't believe how many folk there are in here already! I've just got my BFP today (keep looking at it to confirm that it really is positive). I just 'knew' that I was pregnant yesterday so the test result wasn't totally a surprise. Have had stomach cramps, like with period, for several days, but also with a slight muscle straining feeling when I stand up. Makes me want to hold onto my stomach when I stand (which would be a complete give away so am trying not to!). Also, Friday evening the underlying nausea started. Part of me wants these first 3 months to pass quickly as I hate feeling tired/sick and being unable to tell folk, but the other part of me is really nervous at how it will be having 2 children. Argh!

I already have a DD who is 21months, EDD is Nov 8th.

Fairydogmother · 02/03/2013 15:56

Hi there! We're due on the same day! Congrats x

Theicingontop · 02/03/2013 16:02

Ahh yy to the crying. God I am a mess.

Sorry to hear that your sister's underwhelmed fairy, perhaps she didn't mean to be so dismissive and she'll send you a proper congratulations soon Grin

Welcome hotchocolate! It's amazing how many women must have conceived over the same few days. I'm with you on the nerves regarding two children, though my DS is 2.6, it's never easy so I'm told, just different sets of challenges. Will be lovely watching them grow up together though so it's all worth it.

Hi ladies - fairy - great to have other folk in the same boat to compare notes with :) Is this your first?

Theicing - I had thought a 3 year age gap would be ideal (as we're living in Germany, and so DD would be just about at kindergarten by then) but I fell pg a tad faster than expected this time round! Glad to think she'll have a sibling tho.

Suffolk - I wonder if Valentine's had anything to do with it?! How many folk do you think are here already? Is there a stats page? (I had a quick look but couldn't see one). We've still TONS of Nov dates to come - going to be a busy page :)

DittyRatt · 02/03/2013 16:39

well had a craving for a runny fried egg sandwich today, so made it, Sat down to eat it, then DH stole it off me before I could Sad saying you can't have runny eggs because of the baby, to which I said but the baby needs it and started bawling my eyes out.

DittyRatt · 02/03/2013 16:40

Welcome and congrats to hotchoc

Fairydogmother · 02/03/2013 18:02

Yip it's my first! V v excited lol

I so wanted a big rare steak - it our anniversary meal out tonight. Looks like its soda and lime and a burger for me!

I ate liver the other day and only remembered we're not supposed to eat it as I washed up - whoops!
On the up side I had my one hayfever free summer when I was pregnant with ds.

Is anyone updating the stats? Please? I can't get the hang of copy and paste on this iPad Smile
