I'm not even able to book an appointment until I'm 7 weeks! Lucky things.

Fairydogmother · 28/02/2013 12:42

I havent a clue when scans etc will get booked for - each area of the UK seems to be different!

I am bursting to tell more people but keeping it under wraps for a right wee while yet.....

Will tell my parents at the weekend along with my sister

Diege · 28/02/2013 12:49

MTB I'm a lecturer too (uni) - you don't work with me do you?Wink
honey I love your idea about the princess top - wonder how long before they suss it out?
I'm sort of dreading the comments and aren't really looking forward to breaking the news. I am just going to have to get through it though - it being no.6 my body already looks quite different, and as I am short (5' 3'') there's nowhere for it to hide really!

RubyWindsor · 28/02/2013 12:50

I've told parents and parents in law, both v excited and just as bursting as us to share with more people. Going to try to keep it secret until 12 weeks but we have a very close family and we see each other lots to socialise with alcohol involved so I think it'll come out a lot sooner!

Fairydogmother · 28/02/2013 12:59

my oh's father is on holiday so we'll have to wait until sat to tell him! he'll prob tell his brother then too - by txt no doubt as he lives abroad!

deige i know what you mean, im fully expecting the negative p*take comments going 'what, again?' 'your crazy' and the classic accusations of doing it for benefits. hence why im enjoying the secret. life is so much better when others dont know your business.

they have boy ones too Wink i got mine off ebay for bout 6 quid new

MTB82 · 28/02/2013 16:17

Oh I'm so jealous of people sharing the news I'm ready to burst but my DH is adamant nobody until after scan.

Drs confirmed they had referred me to the hospital I picked for my antenatal care so I guess now it's just waiting to hear from them. Blantently going to call them tmrw to chase up as just want to have a date to be aiming for!!

Fairydogmother · 28/02/2013 16:31

I did another test as I couldn't settle! Dumb I know lol

Ad it's still positive Grin

Theicingontop · 28/02/2013 16:33

Mine's still positive too Fairy. I'm still amazed when the second line appears. I've only took 11

DittyRatt · 28/02/2013 16:34

Hello everyone Smile

Re: symptoms; I don't have many just chronic heartburn and fatigue, but my GP said that my fatigue could be due to my anaemia Hmm
Also having strange dreams here; last night I had a rather odd vivid sexual dream about a certain Robert Pattinson Blush don't think I should tell DH about that one he may get a little jealous

We have decided not to tell untill after the 12week scan to tell everyone, although I will have to tell my manager at work when the sickness kicks in, and a few people do already know (my mum, my nannan, my MIL and my 2 SIL' s) ?x

Ps. I am located in Yorkshire.

RubyWindsor · 28/02/2013 18:04

Just had a ridiculous moment and poas again! Still BFP! I had convinced myself it was all in my head after no symptoms today at all!

Why can't I just enjoy days like today before the other symptoms kick in ConfusedConfused

Fairydogmother · 28/02/2013 18:21

Def enjoy not feeling sick as it will probably kick in soon enough! I feel ok after wearing this acupressure band but took it off for 30 mins and felt really sick again.

A psychic that I've gone to a few times (and who is scarily accurate) told me I'd either get pregnant with twins or else have 2 babies very close together! Waiting to see if its twins lol

MTB82 · 28/02/2013 18:34

I'm planning a POAS in the morning, feeling supper paranoid but want to FMU so that I know it's consistent with what I did last time as want to see if time had moved on a week. This is crazy-mind on overdrive!! Lol assuming you calm down and enjoy it after a few more weeks??

Fairydogmother · 28/02/2013 18:34

Away and pee now!

stuffthenonsense · 28/02/2013 20:08

Siege I'm with you on the dreading the comments rubbish. I'm expecting lots of comments re tv boredom found a cure yet crazy etc or otherwise j fully expect people to be underwhelmed. Really, no 1 or 6 of 45 it's still a baby, my baby, and is loved already. Maybe I won't tell anyone. I will be obvious within a month anyway.
I did another frer test today and guess what! Still bfp lol. In fact the positive line was so dark it dwarves the test line.
Diege I am also 5'3" and in the north west. Though not a lecturer.

fairy ruby mtb I peed on a stick too Blush. Nice strong positive so that's good news.

My symptoms are, really hungry for salty meaty stuff, tired and a bit nauseous. They come and go though which worries me a bit. Does anyone else have this.

Oh I got my scan date. Should be in 2 weeks I'll be about 7 weeks. I get an early scan due to past history of early mc.

RubyWindsor · 28/02/2013 20:32

Whenshewas, mine have been none existent today, just like any other normal day! But I have had headaches, twinges, hunger, fatigue and slight nausea yesterday, keeping fingers crossed that nausea keeps to a minimum!

I've now used my last stick in the house so no more peeing on any for me, roll on the midwife appointment and scan date GrinGrinGrin

MTB82 · 28/02/2013 20:40

I'm still holding tight to do it in the morning,or does it make no diff? My symptoms are def on and off, creep up more when I haven't eaten for a while...solution....eat all the time!! Wooohoooo!!!

RubyWindsor · 28/02/2013 20:59

MTB the clear blue ones I've used say that if you are past the first day of missed period you can test at any time of the day, I purposefully did mine today not in the morning to put my mind at ease even more! Result was a lot darker line than on Sunday!

Fairydogmother · 28/02/2013 22:14

All my 3 tests were in the late afternoon or evening! Beef and chilli hot things are a definitive favourite for me at the min but otherwise not many other symptoms other than a bit of nausea and a few twinges. That acupressure band is brilliant - literally stopped feeling sick about 5 mins after putting it on

harverina · 28/02/2013 22:22

MTB, I feel my symptoms are similar - they come and go. Today i haven't really felt anything. At the weekend I had backache and headache.... My tummy is very rumbley though and has been all week! My boobs are not so bad today either, wonder why?

harverina · 28/02/2013 22:29

Oh and I have told some close people - my immediate and dh's immediate family and a couple of close friends won't be telling everyone else until after the 12 week scan. My work won't be surprised at all. No one should feel guilty about taking maternity leave and no ones work should try to make them feel bad - it's the most natural thing on the world and women are the only ones who can do it, so I never really understand bosses who are annoyed about it. Family life comes before work always Grin

getoffthecoffeetable · 28/02/2013 22:47

I did another test this morning too as it was a FRES test I did last week. There was a line there still though so am happy!
