That's great news dietcoke! I'm a twin and it is do lovely to have someone your do close to - even if we are now at other ends of the country!

like you Dorita my nausea eased for just over a week and came back with a vengeance at 11 weeks - not feeling too bad today and also not as hungry as I have been thankgoodness!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 21/02/2013 17:36

Dammit itchy frickin nipples!!!!

BinarySolo · 21/02/2013 18:26

Zombie, get some Boots nipple cream. Used it last time round and really soothed my nipples and I had no cracking or similar problems when I started breastfeeding.

Kittenkatzen · 21/02/2013 18:30

Flying visit to say SGJ stilton isn't on the banned list according to the NHS GrinGrin check out this link and thank me later lol

Babyboo79 · 21/02/2013 18:43

My Gap maternity jeans arrived today and I love them! I usually live in skinny jeans but can't bear to have anything tight around my stomach at the moment so was slobbing around in really old baggy jeans.

The Gap jeans are skinny but with a bump band over the tum. I think I will be living in these from now on! BTW, I went for 2 sizes smaller than normal uk size and they fit perfectly.

Oh and Nuchal scan is booked for 5th march....

Girraferama · 21/02/2013 18:45

mynameis it's weird you should mention your spotting today - I have had the same just this morning. Not sure whether to be worried but like you, trying not to stress about it. I had an early scan at 7 weeks due to spotting and all was fine, they couldn't find any reason for it and told me not to worry unless there was a significant amount. It wasn't, just when wiping (sorry if tmi!). Freaked me out tbh but stopped now and scan just over a week away. Also, it's the same time as last month - around when my period would have been. Anyone had similar?

KamikazeeKid · 21/02/2013 19:23

Scan in the morning :-)

Had to abandon my son mid pooey nappy change earlier as was about to unload my stomach on him!!!!!

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 21/02/2013 19:35

Mrsmc82 - I had my first consultant apt on tues. do you know what your risk is?
Mine is BMI and depression medication. So we discussed medication, dose, concerns and he put an alert on the record for neonatal team to be called on birth - drug withdrawal can affect baby. Fortunately the hospital has a consultant who specialises in mental health during pregnancy and will be given the heads up of my terror that I may get pnd
He also said he isn't a bit bothered about my high BMI and actually said don't change what your doing.
I've been passed back to the midwife for the rest of my pregnancy, and when i labour I will be looked after on consultant lead ward, not midwifery unit.

I absolutely do not want a home birth!! I'm terrified that something will go wrong and 40 min blue light is a long time not being in scbu!

I missed the mucus plug talk - can we go over that again? What is it? I haven't had one.

SGJ · 21/02/2013 19:52

Kitten, you are my hero!!

JammyTummy · 21/02/2013 20:10

Has anybody got the Mumsnet pregnancy book? It's hilarious- literally had me snorting with laughter (mouth full of tea and chocolate- such a fittie)!

Kamikazee I'm totally with you on that! My belly button has been really itchy the last few days too, I must look like a right odd bod trying to sort myself out... I've been using the mama mio boob cream, it's really nice and soothing and smells amaZing!

JammyTummy · 21/02/2013 20:11

Oh sorry, it was Zombies with the itchy nips. Oops!

Creamtea1 · 21/02/2013 21:29

Omg DH just told me that he was going to bring Krispy kremes home from work but decided not to as 'you have been eating a lot recently and will end up the size of a house' !!
Angry Hmm and of course Biscuit

flobot good luck with the kitchen negotiations

Suffering with awful wind this evening, so much so my DH has evacuated the house in disgust and has declared he will not be home until he's eaten the hottest curry he can find so he can compete!!! I have warned him I am likely to empty the contents of my stomach on him should he launch such an attack!!

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 21/02/2013 21:33

Girafferama, I also had spotting about 4 weeks ago. Tend to spot between periods too and have had it checked out but no obvious cause. Am trying to stay positive as have had next to no blood, no cramping, and still feel bloody dreadful!

SGJ · 21/02/2013 21:58

Flobot, sadly the cunning folk of Colchester General have thought of that and the car park machines accept cards now!
Have taken a punt and just ordered 2 pairs of Gap jeans, would be silly not to as I only had 1 pair of jeans last time round and I can't remember which friend I've leant them to in the meantime...
Scan tomorrow! Might go to bed early (10pm is early for me!) just so tomorrow will come more quickly!

batfuttocks · 21/02/2013 22:02

Too tired to say much: just marking place after reading lovely scan news. Congrats peeps.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 21/02/2013 22:29

jammy it's been so bad I've even tried a surreptitious scratch or two at work.
Must get me to the Boots and apply magic nip salve.

What will you gorge on once babies out?

I feasted after ds

frogchops · 21/02/2013 23:02

Good god I'm still desperate for fruit pastilles. DP ignored my plea.

Had pizza and gravy for tea :-/ was yummy tho.

CheeseStrawCraving · 21/02/2013 23:27

Whizz, we're nearly neighbours! I'm back in not-so-sunny Fareham, it's weird being back as grew up here. Sounds like it's a QA hospital birth then. There was a lovely MLU in Oxfordshire but DH said no way, the closer to the docs the better. So hospital it is.

Yay Cream Tea! It looks like we're the only ones on Monday, mine's at 1pm so a bit more of a wait for me! So so looking forward to it since hearing all the lovely news on here so far!

Hope you've all had a lovely day ladies!

Also, when are we in 2nd trimester? Is it after 13 weeks? Also, I'm sure this is a silly question, but as a pg is about 40 weeks, how many months pg do people say they are at any time? This confused me. So when I'm 16 weeks will I be 4 months? That would mean that I'm counting a month as four weeks.... Bejesus I'm tired, I hope someone understands me.

CheeseStrawCraving · 21/02/2013 23:28

Frog chops - pizza and gravy... Together? Hmm

jennimoo · 22/02/2013 05:58

QA has a midwife unit inside next to maternity unit so you can have no drs but be just through double doors from them if you need them.
Funny 3 of us are so close. I'm 10 mins drive over the hill from fareham!

BinarySolo · 22/02/2013 06:15

Good luck to everyone with scans today.
