Hope its not bad news, fingers crossed for you Thanks

Sephy · 27/02/2013 22:36

Very sorry to hear some bad news, and thanks notsoold for the all encompassing good wishes.

My first evening of proper nausea, for me it's more like motion sickness from when I read in the car rather than 'ill' nausea if you see what I mean.
I'm 6+3 I think.

Can't wait for the weekend now! Busy few days of work to plough through first though.

Sephy · 27/02/2013 22:38

Oh pinksky no advice from first time me, but hope its nothing and they they're able to put your mind at rest tomorrow

EuroShaggleton · 27/02/2013 22:40

I reckon that merits a trip to the EPU Pinksky. Hopefully it will show all is well and put your mind at rest.

Right, I'm off to crash out for the night.

pinksky · 27/02/2013 22:42

Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it. I'll get in touch with them and hopefully be back tomorrow Xx

tuckingfits · 27/02/2013 22:43

Hi pinksky, sorry to hear of your bleeding. I bled with my first pregnancy & fortunately all was ok so it's not always bad need but i remember being on edge & upset for the weeks it continued. If i were you i would go to the epu in the morning & see what they have to say. Best to get checked out. Hugs & best wishes to you.

Also hugs & thoughts to those of you who have had sad news or are worrying at the moment.

I haven't been around much as i feel dreadfully nauseous all the time, exhausted, constipated punctuated with the other occasionally. Am rushed off my feet with two year old son who isn't very well just now but can't work out what the issue is,working 3 nights a week outside the home & working the other nights doing ironing for customers. All i want to do is curl up & sleep. Bought some seabands today & i thought they were helping the nausea but it's back again. Perhaps it was the almost entire foot long sub i ate from subway with DS earlier that frightened the nausea away. Can't keep doing that! Only fancied a crispy salad for dinner tonight so hopefully that will counteract some of the calories I've had today!

roxvox · 27/02/2013 22:51

Hi pinksky - I hope all goes well with epu. I hope that bleeding without pain means that it's nothing major xx

roxvox · 27/02/2013 22:55

Also, thank you for your message earlier today kellbells... It's always nice to hear from people who've already been through all of this stress and have come out the other side with a gorgeous baby in their arms Smile

doobeedee · 28/02/2013 07:39

Got booking in appointment today. Will I need to do a wee sample do you think? I need to know whether to save a wee up or not!!!

TDD32 · 28/02/2013 07:52

Pinksky sorry to hear what happened last night. Hope all goes well today.

cuillereasoupe · 28/02/2013 08:02

That sounds similar to what I had Pinksky. Sounds like a trip or at least a call to the EPU is in order. I wish we had something like that here, it sounds really reassuring.

star87 · 28/02/2013 08:26

Morning ladies!

Hope everything is ok with you Pinksky

Have just come across this on the Daily Mail www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2285554/I-selfish-set-ways-child-43-An-astonishing-confession-mother-wont-daughter-swimming-case-ruins-pedicure.html Admittedly I haven't read it all but the first half has left me disgusted with this women!! She simply cannot be bothered to look after her own daughter!!

HotSoupDumpling · 28/02/2013 08:56

Pinksky, glad that you are contacting the EPU. Hoping that everything turns out okay.

doobeedee, I've heard that you will probably be asked to take a urine test, but there's no need to have a massively full uncomfortable bladder. Exciting that you've got your booking in! Mine is next week.

roofio87 · 28/02/2013 08:58

in my appointment letter for my booking in I've been asked to bring a sample of wee with me!! fortunately found an official pot for such things in the chemist at asda!!

Sal1977 · 28/02/2013 08:59

Doobeedee - I had my booking in last week and didn't need to do a sample and they didn't take blood either. She took my blood pressure, asked a million questions, talks about screening options for Downs etc and foods to avoid. You get given your notes and a bounty pack (unfortunately no free bounties in there) and told the sort of time frame you'll be looking at for your next appointments. Xxx

cazboldy · 28/02/2013 09:17

doobeedee - i also have my booking in this morning Smile

In my pack it also says to bring a sample - I have just been to get a pot from the docs, which is luckily only 5 mins away.

Why on earth don't they include a pot in the pack?!

Pink - wishing you lots of luck xxxx

Also sad to hear delilah's bad news xxx

pinkbuttons · 28/02/2013 09:18

Morning all, hope your ok pinksy and get some reassurance at epu.
doobeedee I had mine this week an had to do a urine test and have bloods taken. It must depend on where you are. could take a bottle of water and ask at the start of your appt? mine took 45 minutes so plenty of time to need a wee Smile
Sickness a lot better here, havent been sick all week and just having waves of nausea which is a lot better. DH also back from his business trip so may be due to being less stressed. other than that just ticking along waiting for scan at 13 weeks...

Haylebop12 · 28/02/2013 10:26

Morning ladies, feeling much better over here although anti sickness meds via IV are much better then orally!

Sorry to hear bad news about delilah

Hope everything is ok at EPU pink

I have my booking in next week. Because I did it through my gp she gave me a piss pot Grin from what I remember last year my booking in was around 20 mins discussing prev pg, what would happen, contact numbers and info about tests and foods to avoid. Told to go home and fill in green book. She also rang at that point through to the scan part of the hosp to get that booked. Surprises how different it is depending on where you live! My next mw after booking in will be 16 weeks where she will book my 20w scan.

7+3 today, getting closer to that 12w milestone!

Haylebop12 · 28/02/2013 10:27

Oh and was told to get bloods done when u come for scan, or at least before 16w mw appt.

roofio87 · 28/02/2013 10:42

hayleybop hope mine is the same then,I don't have my scan date yet so hoping she gives it me at booking in next week (I'll be 9+1 by then!!) I don't mind when it is,but I like being organised and knowing what I'm doing so not having the date set yet is torture for me!!Haha Grin

MrsExcited · 28/02/2013 10:50

Ooh my countdown is on in 4 weeks all being well I get to find out if little bean has stuck!!

Any news yet Pink? crossing fingers that its good

Still feeling like I have been trampled and a old and pregnancy just don't don't go together!! However following husbands instructions and resting staying off work etc.

Looks like we'll be needing a new thread by the weekend at this rate!!

star87 · 28/02/2013 11:29

I've had my booking form already and can't remember reading anything about a urine test... will have another read tonight!

Have any of you told friends and family yet? I'm 6+3 and don't whether it is too soon to start telling people. My parents know as do my partners (his dad has cancer so we thought a bit of good news like this would help him through his treatment). As for friends I don't know when the right time is.

I am going to a friends for dinner on Saturday night and we've been planning if for months and have planned to have champagne, I don't know what to say!!

roofio87 · 28/02/2013 11:39

star I think it just very much depends on what type of person you are. I've been through a lot in my life and believe for me I'm best being open and honest and talking things through so my family, dps family and our friends know as I could tell them all anyway if things went wrong. I've never kept anything from my mum and two sisters so I wanted to share everything with them. I'm also very close with my group of girl friends, seeing them all at last twice a week so I wouldn't have been able to hide it from them and we're so close I wouldn't have wanted to. I don't think there is anything wrong with telling people as long as you're prepared for the openness that comes with that. I also think its totally fine keeping it to yourself if you want to, its your baby and your decision when to tell people!! xx

Iheartcrunchiebars · 28/02/2013 11:40

I think take the champagne and do a strategic swap!

Rockchick1984 · 28/02/2013 11:45

We've told close friends and family - I went by the logic that I would want their support if anything goes wrong so have told them now and sworn them to secrecy!
