mouse no I didn't realize that... Haven't handed my sick note in anyway but I reckon 3 weeks off ill be going crazy! I only work 3 days anyway my next shift is Wednesday so might just take next week off then look at going back.

Even if my mat clothes did fit from last time they wouldn't be any good... Dd was born in feb so main part of pregnancy was nov, dec and jan when I was getting big. Pretty sure I was in a normal pair of jeans at about 25 weeks when out for a friends birthday! Think I'm gonna be ginormous!

Well reading the latest posts think I'm teacher number 3! Not looking forward to Monday either as staff loo is a long run from me and infant toilets are always in use and smelly! Hoping I can cope with the ms and constant weeing when I am in work - thank god for a good TA who will cover for me

yeah Hayleybop at my work there is a box to tick on the return tp work form that says "was your illness pregnancy related?" if it is then they you can have as much time off as you need and they can't penalize you for it. I'm sure thats legally what they have to do so don't worry about the time off!!

Not a happy bunny today. Got my scan appointment through this morning. It's for 9th April when I'll be 13+5. Was really hoping to get a scan at 11 weeks after my mmc last time. Going to ring on Monday & try and get an earlier appointment. If not ill be going private. No way I can wait that long.

I've had a dull ache near my left ovary today. Anyone else had that & do I need to worry? Don't really want to consult dr google if I can help it as I'm sure it will make me panic.

Is anyone else suffering from excess saliva? My mouth won't stop watering, it's really gross. I'm only 6+3, can't quite believe how rough I am feeling.

I've spent the evening watching rubbish on TV and am now thinking about an early night.

Tempted to tell my parents tomorrow, just to get sympathy from my mum. So far other than a few work people the only ones who know are a close friend, and the PIL who knew we were having treatment. Although we've not told them officially yet.

Topslou - when I went and got my early scan on Thursday the MW doing it said that I had ovulated from my left ovary and that it may ache a bit and that was because it was still a bit swollen due to the corpus leutium (sp?) doing its thing on that side. She said just to take paracetamol and it was nothing to worry about. I'm 7 weeks today so similar to you I think so maybe it's something similar...?

Teacher number 4 here! I too am absolutely dreading Monday, although I am lucky to have a student in for the next few weeks so that should help... or maybe make everything more stressful! Not sure how I'm going to manage without a nap

delilahbelle no excess saliva here I don't think (although since I read your post I am starting to notice it,), but some other minor yet strange occurrences... Ie heartburn and also every time I blow my nose (which I seem to have to do more often) I get blood out of my right nostril! It may just be coincidence mind you.

topslou that's crap that you have to wait until you're almost 14 weeks! I haven't had my dates through yet but if it isn't set for week 12 then I'll be looking to get a private scan too.

roofio I didn't know that about pregnancy illness! Fortunately I've not needed to take any time off yet. I'm worried that if/when I do need to then they'll guess why. I work with all males and they're constantly quizzing me on when I'm going to have a baby (we're all friends so it's in a friendly way, not for business reasons). Hoping my MS won't start whilst I am at work as the toilet walls are paper thin!

sal1977 I am glad to read that as I have been having some minor pains that I too would relate to my ovaries. I was concerned but refused to Google it! So thank you for the info.

Teacher number 5... I had to tell my Head really early as I had an observation, and my morning sickness kicked in with avengence. Had to cancel as I didn't think running to the toilet mid sentence would seem too professional!

Candr I took another test a week later too and was very reassured by the much stronger, and still there, line!

Whoever mentioned dry lips, me too, and dry hands, face, skin generally but it might just be winter in my case.

I am a teacher too, is that 5 or 6? I will be interested to see how late you will all be working before maternity leave. Definitely into September otherwise it will start in the summer holidays when we will be off anyway. Too early to be thinking about it yet I suppose.

Very bloated and uncomfortable this evening but we have friends to stay so I have been trying to look normal and awake zzzzzz. Kept topping my glass up with wine coloured schloer in the kitchen!

I had my midwife appointment on Friday - was pretty thorough! I'm getting referred to multiple clinics and assessments, and antenatal classes and should get a scan date soon. She also asked if we were cousins , and then gave us vouchers for free healthy food and took them away when she remembered we worked. Quite a deprived area round here...

In more good news my horrible nausea just nicely dropped away at exactly 7 weeks on Wednesday. I still feel a bit icky in the evenings but it is so much better than it was. I've put on four pounds so far and hope I don't put on much more... I know I say that like its not in my control, but my tastes have really changed and its not as easy to be strict as usual.

Anyone else suffering from insomnia? Keep waking up ridiculously early & then struggle to get back to sleep for hours. Being awake since 5 on a Subday morning is not quite the lie in I was hoping for! Giving in & getting up now. Hopefully I can sneak in an afternoon nap later.

I'm the same with the dry lips but also a dry mouth. I have to get up at least once a night to have a drink! Still getting the stretching pain a lot and am off most foods. Woke up this morning hugging my bump!

I don't get a booking in appointment until 11 weeks! Which is gutting as I assume it means my scan won't be till much later. I'm desperate to tell my sisters but my husband wants to wait.

Welcome to the newbies delilah I've got excessive saliva and am 6 + 4 and also keep bleeding from right nostril! Thought it was just me . The saliva bit isn't helping with the ms either but assume it will ease as time goes on.

Even managed a lie in this morning as my ds slept until 7am which in this house is about 2 hours later than normal! Now sorting breakfast and contemplating toast to sort ms out.

Topslou, hope you get an earlier appt - that feels v late.

Candr and Orange, I'm still testing because of heavy spotting. CB digi reading was 'off' in terms of no. weeks pg but this seems to be common so not worrying yet.

For anyone who is missing coffee, I can highly recommend Taylors ground decaf - it's water process decaffinated and the most authentic tasting I've found yet!

Went for private scan yesterday - bean where is should be, heartbeat, and she put me 2 days further along yay! So makes me 9 weeks today, EDD 29th September. Will almsot certainly be overdue though!

Topslou - my first scan date was quite late, and when I rang up I managed to get them to change it to an earlier date. Where I live they will only do the first scan after 12 weeks, but they booked me in for the first possible appointment. So it can be done.

Thanks to you ladies I've been toying with the idea of an early scan. But I decided that as long as I continue feeling so awful, something must still be in me making me feel awful. So I'll try not to give in to the temptation for now.

I have no idea how I'm supposed to keep my pregnancy a secret when I'm constantly retching! Anyone with the same dilemma?

I am currently lying in bed. Other than waking twice to use the loo I've slept quite well. Breakfast in bed - an ice lolly, glass of OJ and some ginger nuts. I am yet to lift my head more than slightly off the pillow, so I'm hoping the above will kill the morning sickness when I finally do get up.

I think I'm teacher number 7 - my HoD and head know about this pregnancy, as does the admin lady, as I had to leg it out of school last week with heavy bleeding. I have had some very nice emails telling me to take as much time off as needed - pretty sure they don't mean the entire 1st trimester though.

Morning all still firmly tucked up ok bed for me too. Dh took dd downstairs at 6.30 so I could lie in so I am taking full advantage of that! Feeling muh better today stuffiness is wearing off as is my sore throat just got this nasty cold sore still :-( but if I remember rightly I also got one with dd in first trimester but I suffer from them even when not pregnant tbh. Just over 24 hours till my scan and I am so excited but so scared at the same time I am literally Counting the seconds I have no idea how ill sleep tonight lol hope everyone has a nice chilled day xxxx and and delilah I don't have a watery mouth more of a sand papery one

Blimey i am teacher number 8 then! I am the HoD and most of my dept guessed as i passed out in a big heap from exhaustion just before i found out and they packaged me off to hospital! They knew e were thinking about it and combined with the cheesy grin they guessed.

Haven't had the nerve to tell my head yet (worried as he only promoted me last year)

For those who are worried about going back after half term its not as bad as you think our half term was the week before so have already done a week back!and lived to tell the tale.

iheart is that the same for everyone where you are. maybe if everyone has to wait until 11 weeks for booking app it means they have all the scan slots for the week after available until then? not sure if that's complete rubbish,but I don't get my scan date until booking in at 9+1 so keep wondering if thats how it will work for me?!

I have a terrible dry mouth!! I do normally anyway after surgery and radiotherapy for mouth cancer 2 years ago, but this is so bad, I wake almost every hour in the night desperate for a drink!!!
