TheFalconsmistress · 23/02/2013 16:02

What's worrying me is she said she second sac is smaller and so its possible to misscarry it and I should experience bleeding if that happens and I haven't had any bleeding or pains, but I've since read about vanishing twin syndrome and u no what dr google is like and sending u into a panic...and I would have been chuffed as anything to find one healthy baby at my scan but I've been told there's too if the second isn't there on Monday ill feel like I've lost something even tho I should be great full for having one healthy one. Ahhhhhh u no what it's like stressing about the worst case scenario. I tried to find a thread on here for expectant twin mums but since I'm new to this mumsnet business I ain't got a clue how to find one really lol... Monday really cannot come soon enough but at least my appt is at 9.45 am and it's 30 min drive away so ill literally get up get dressed leave home straight away with no annoying hanging around

Sal1977 · 23/02/2013 17:03

Falcon - hahaha....sorry bird! I'm sure you look blinking gorgeous in them!!

Will your hubby be getting half naked and holding the baby for a black and white photo in your garage? Grin

Just kidding kiddo. Mwah! Xx

bluesnowfalcon · 23/02/2013 17:15

Hope all is well today - sorry leen to hear your news.

Welcome to all the new bfp'ers today I think this is going to be a busy bus by the time we get to October!

I have to say apart from bloating and burping all feels fine here today! Anyone else really suffering with wind and bloating? I feel like I'm already straining at my waistband and have had jeans button undone all day Grin

Can't wait to get to scan and start wearing comfy maternity bits! Last time I'm sure I could've lived and died in maternity jeans and when I was really big even started wearing them to work which as a teacher we don't normally do Smile

Natalie hope the scan goes well on Monday and that you have two lots of good news for us all when you get out. My doctor rang and confirmed bfp yesterday and is apparently putting me on the midwife list so now they will ring me within the next fortnight for booking appointment I guess.

Now off to cook tea - trying not to inhale to many odours or I might be throwing it up before I even eat it Wink

TDD32 · 23/02/2013 17:25

Hi all

New member to the October Club. Congratulations to you all.

I am a soon to be first time mum and five weeks pregnant. This is so exciting and scary all at the same time.

FeministInTraining · 23/02/2013 17:33

Hi everyone, I've been reading all the posts this is a very busy and chatty bus I love it! MS kicked in 2 days ago I'm now 6+3. Haven't actually been sick yet but feel like I could at any moment from about 10am-4pm. Dreading going back to work on Monday, teachers aren't supposed to puke in classroom bins Grin
Sorry to all the ladies having a hard time- hopefully sickness is very temporary and we will all feel wonderful (glowing even!) in just a few weeks... Ever the optimist, me. [sceptical]

Natalie I know easier said than done, but please try to stay away from Dr Google! You will drive yourself crazy with worry- someone clever already said something along the lines of no point worrying until there's something to worry about, sorry I can't remember who it was, v busy bus!

On another note, my stomach seems to be a bottomless pit I have never been so hungry in my entire life and I can always eat more. This is my first so it's a bit alien to me- and last pg before mc I didn't have this. Anyone else fancy a horse burger?? Confused

pinksky · 23/02/2013 17:38

Hi all, like TDD32 I'm new and this is also going to be my first baby. I've been following the thread (or trying to, you guys move fast!) for a while. So sorry to those who have experienced losses, and of course congratulations to us all.

I found out I was pg at 3+2 (short cycles) and am now 5+3, due Oct 22nd. not experiencing many symptoms, and had a lot of brown discharge (sorry tmi) and cramping this week. It seems to be subsiding now, thankfully. Feel a bit 'invisible' at this stage - can't even phone to make a booking in appt until 7 weeks here, so hopefully this thread will keep me sane Smile

DachsandPup · 23/02/2013 17:45

Hello all - can I join?

I have one DD (10 months) and I discovered last week I was pg with number 2! Huge surprise - DD was IVF and before her I lost IVF twins at 20 weeks, having had a mmc at 8 weeks in 2010 before that. Since DD I've had 3 CPs so I was waiting to make sure that this one didn't magically disappear as well, but today CB Digi went up from 1-2 to 2-3 so I'm hoping this one is a sticky bean :)

EDD 29 October

Am completely knackered and having lots of cramps, but I'm hoping that it's just my body getting ready for it rather than anything sinister

TDD32 · 23/02/2013 17:56

PinkSky, looks like we are due days apart. Like you I have not had many symptoms yet except the cramping up until today. For some reason, I have started getting a little tearful.

beckybeck · 23/02/2013 18:01

Hello everyone. Just found out I'm four weeks gone. This is my first and I'm so excited! I think I only just squeeze into this group; worked out EDD 31 Oct!

pinksky · 23/02/2013 18:02

It's pretty understanding, TDD32 - hormones raging, generally overwhelming. Hope you are looking after yourself.

I've updated the list to included JLSmithy & DachsandPup, but need to add your stats, TDD32 Grin

Hi ladies. Sorry to have disappeared. Saw midwife at epu yesterday who basically said it's a question of wait and see. No bleeding today although brown discharge and v bad cramps - can only liken to v v early labour. I'm another teacher so dreading Monday - am on senior team and am not sure of the reaction so dont want to tell them yet, but also not sure how I'll handle any ongoing worries mixed with sickness and extreme tiredness.

Have appointment on Monday evening and if bleeding in meantime need to head to epu.

Congrats to all the newbies and our hospital dischargees!

Hi TDD, I believe it's name, age, estimated due date (EDD) and any children, eg 0 DC (no dear children), 1 DD (one dear daughter)... At least that's what I read it as! Do you want to copy and paste the list with your details? X

Welcome newbies!

natalie sending you lots of luck for Monday. Definitely good being an earlier appt. really hope it all works out well for you.

In regards to those feeling bloated ect. I definitely am! 6+5 (I think) and wasn't this big until about 20+ weeks with dd. my bump was very small with her. Praying I don't get stretch marks this time round however!

Maternity clothes- eBay is fantastic! My mat clothes from previous pg are all size 12 and I'm bigger then that now. I sold a few bits on there after my mc. I may be a bit pre empt but I have already bought some bits for my hol. I should be 28 weeks and figured out by then ill be spending my money on baby. I've had some real bargains as summer stuff isn't too highly sought after this time of year. Grin got a couple maxi dresses, some t shirts for couple quid each, some leggings and a few vests and a pair of skinny jeans.

racheld33 · 23/02/2013 20:02

Hello all, not been on the thread for a couple of weeks and it's gone crazy. Hello to all newbies!

I'm 8 +4 and sickness is awful, so just surviving the days at the moment (wishing the weeks away till I fell better)

haylebop12 will have a look on ebay tonight, thanks for the recommendation. Only bought a handful of maternity clothes last time, and just kept re-wearing, but it was summer so I only needed vests and a pair of jeans, this time I'll need more layers to get me to October!

candr · 23/02/2013 20:32

Ok, am I the only one who has done another test a week after bfp to double check as symptoms seem to have gone? Might be as I was 8 weeks when I found out with DS so had loads more symptoms.
So sorry Leena and to anyone else having a bad time of it. Great that some of you are improving though. Not brave enough to get mat clothes down from attic yet but they will need wash and iron but at least are all right for this time as conceived DS in Jan so have the 'big' summer clothes sorted.

MouseInAHouse · 23/02/2013 20:36

Another newbie to catch the bus.... Just spent most of the evening reading through the thread!

EDD 30th Oct, 1DD 2yrs

Currently 4 +1, no symptoms although trying my best to imagine some! Had the stretchy feeling last week that made me test early but that seems to have gone now. Had 2 early MC before DD so very anxious & will have an early scan ASAP after I reach 6 weeks.

HayleBop glad to hear your feeling better, wasn't sure if you realised that employers can't count pregnancy related illness as part of your normal sickness allowance?
