Macdonalds for lunch!!! Grrrr why did it post it before I had finished typing xx

delilahbelle · 22/02/2013 11:24

Can I come back?

Had my scan, and despite fearing the worst I'm still pregnant. And with TWINS to boot.
Saw the two heartbeats, and their measurements agreed with my dates of 6+2

In shock, I had really quite bad cramps and a lot of red blood yesterday, the sonographer said from a SCH that she measured next to one of the twins.

Shock
HotSoupDumpling · 22/02/2013 11:32

Hello to everyone who's new! Welcome to a very worried and sickly bus at the moment. Just think we'll all be feeling better in a few more weeks though, just need to reach that dreamed of 12 week mark. Cant come soon enough here...

roofio87 · 22/02/2013 11:34

Haylebop12 · 22/02/2013 11:37

delilah fantastic! Ill let u blame me for your twins as they were scanning me for that and I only had one! Hehe! So now you have it!

delilahbelle · 22/02/2013 11:49

Thanks all :) I'm not out of the woods yet - I'm still having some spotting and there was a biggish bleed next to one of the embryos.

It's a fingers crossed and waiting game now.

natalie We have the same due date, and are both expecting twins, what are the chances?!

hayle one healthy bean is great, I hope it continues to grow well.

mrs fingers crossed and I'm thinking of you.

to everyone else in on this sick feeling cramping stressing bus.

HotSoupDumpling · 22/02/2013 11:58

delilah, that is a perfect description of this bus.

Hello to feelinghungry, koalaface (great name!) and studentvera!

Currently feeling a bit jealous of natalie 's Mcdonalds...

Tarlia · 22/02/2013 11:58

Delilah Oh my goodness, I'm so pleased for you!! Wow, two sets of twins already and we havnt even hit the 12 week scans yet!! Wonder how many there will be on this bus.

Cherry you poor thing! I've heard so many giving into dippy eggs and never once have I heard of any sickness, pregnant or otherwise. We're they fresh eggs or supermarket? Have my fingers crossed for you.

hayle hope you are feeling better soon :(. Not nice at all. Makes me feel greatfull and such a baby for feeling sorry for myself - I've yet to actually be sick but like last time have been nauseous even before I'd missed my period!

mrsflower try and stay positive, easier said I know. I'll be thinking of you.

So today I'm booking in with the nurse, I'm not in the UK. She is going to steal lots of blood to screen for HIV, see if I've had toxoplasmosis in the last 3 years since they checked and tell my what I'm lacking and which supplements to take. Also have urine tested for the usual suspects, so desperately trying to drink even though I would rather not be. I did just find a food that helps though, white toast and butter which I never eat, but just managed to wolf FOUR slices like I'd never been fed Blush. Last time I only put on 10kg throughout the whole pregnancy, I can see it'll be more this time if habits like that continue haha.

Brrr. So cold here. How is it with everyone else? Busy weekends? We are moving, so all go here.

walnut300 · 22/02/2013 12:06

So pleased for you Delilah, congrats!

CelticPromise · 22/02/2013 12:18

So pleased to see happy news on the thread.

crossing fingers for you Flowerpot.

I'm feeling very sorry for myself, miserable cold has become a bad chest, and it's only viral so nothing to be done. I've also developed a bit of nausea just to go with it. My poor DS is watching a lot of cbeebies! Thank goodness DH will be home this afternoon.

Haylebop12 · 22/02/2013 12:24

Great news falcon Smile

BowlFullofJelly · 22/02/2013 12:27

Oh lovely news on the thread today! Glad all went well Falcon, and of course you can stay, just make sure you are overdue Wink.

And Delilah - that's amazing! So pleased for you!

Fancied a McDonalds too Natalie, but opted for soup and fruit (so I can stuff my face tonight!)

LeenHS · 22/02/2013 12:47

Some really good news today ... Falcon and Delilah - fantastic.
studentvera I am 7 weeks and a few days and have no symptoms which is beginning to make me sick with worry. My boobs were sore but have gradually got less and less so. And that was pretty much my only symptom. I do get tired but then I've been working hard... So know how you feel.

Feelinghungry · 22/02/2013 12:56

Aww some nice happy news Grin. Twins Delilah? Amazing. And well done on the scan Falcon must be a relief.

Thanks for the welcome Hotsoup, I think this is going to be a lovely bus to be on!

Iheartcrunchiebars · 22/02/2013 13:05

Brilliant news Delihah! More twins! Keeping fingers and everything else crossed.

I would kill for a McDonald's. Can someone deliver me one? Mcchicken sandwich please and fries and a milkshake! !

studentvera · 22/02/2013 13:09

LeenHS that's the same as me - so worried not having any symptoms. Reading this everyone seems to be suffering??? I hope I am just lucky. Have scared myself with MMC stories. 4 weeks till my scan - so long!!!

34PinkLadyApple · 22/02/2013 14:11

Hey ladies! Lots of good news today with scans and twins and dirty maccy d's!

student and LeenHS* never fear, fellow lack of symptoms bird here! Zero nausea, bit tired and achey boobage (mainly once bra comes off at night!) and I'm 8.4 weeks! My theory is that those of us with no symptoms don't have much to say on here so it seems like we are in the minority!?? Really feeling for those if you that ARE suffering (I'm not being smug!) MW appointment on March 5th, Scan on March 19th. I was still am a little bit worried about the lack of what I thought were normal symptoms but I guess getting to 8 weeks with no problems can only be a good thing and I'm putting the MMC thoughts to the back of mind as I figure I've done everything I can to keep bean safe so if it doesn't work out, I havent done anything wrong and it wasn't meant to be. No point worrying until there's something to worry about I say!

Sal1977 · 22/02/2013 14:19

Well said Pinklady! A MMC is actually very uncommon and you have 99% chance of not having one! And let's face it, the odds of having a MC full stop are a LOT less than having a healthy pregnancy!!!

My best friend had no MS at all, and my MW friend said most people's MS doesn't kick in until about 8 weeks and those who get it before are very unlucky!

I'm chuffed that so many of us worriers/spotters/crampers are getting good scan results!

roofio87 · 22/02/2013 14:23

I know how you girls feel. I had a few days of feeling pretty rough and now feeling much better, not so sick. its great, but does suddenly fill you with panic!! keep reminding myself that I have no reason to worry, no cramping or spotting so everything is most likely fine!!

juniper9 · 22/02/2013 14:50

I'm 8+4 and my ms has quadrupled in the last week, so to those who have escaped so far... look out! I now feel sick all morning, then okish for a few hours in the afternoon, then shakey and feverish for hours in the evening. It's loads of fun :-/

A bit of a Blush question, but has anyone else's sex life dwindled? I'm still as interested as ever, but the combination of thrush and nausea is not doing my sex life much good.
