Good luck!

Euro, I forgot to thank you for your comment way up-thread on how best to tell friends who may be TTCing. Will take your advice if, fingers crossed, we reach that point.

Am sicky as always, but finding that bran flakes scoffed in bed just after waking up makes me feel a bit less monstrous.

TheFalconsmistress · 22/02/2013 08:13

So i am up and a nervous wreck i really dont want bad news not sure i wont lose all the plot if it is (have a history of not coping when i get crappy news)

I should be thinking positive i have been have ms and no blood or bad cramping but its like my brain wont let me see a good outcome :( lets hope its just because of previous m/c

I know i have never been this far along and m/c before and my body seems might efficient at working when it needs too so i am confident i wont have mmc.

I know im rambling on

cherry poor you at least your in the right place I hope you and bean recover well xx

haylebop glad you are getting sorted, oooh twins exciting xx

Thank you everyone for you kind well wishes Smile

To he honest in a way twins would be good as I want three but def cbr I through pregnancy again! THey did this last time I was admitted but only one hb. Good luck today falcon

cazboldy · 22/02/2013 08:32

sorry to hear some bad news for some Sad

really hope you feel better soon cherry and hayle

well, told the eldest 3 dc yesterday and got ok responses..... then ds1 blurted it out in front of my dsis who was round for dinner. She is telling my dad today (mum's away on a break at the moment with the little boy they foster)

I know it's a cop out, and feel bad for not telling him myself, but just can't Sad she told them for me last time too!!

It's all linked to the awful reaction when telling them about ds1 all those years ago - understandably they were cross..... I was 14! but it's all turned out ok! Smile

The thing is they have never been happy about any of the other's either - and it's not like i ask for much help - they babysit maybe 2x a year at most!!

sorry to go on, and at 31 I shouldn't be worrying so much about what my parents are going to say, but it's (obviously)!! a bit of an issue for me!

Good Luck for any ladies having scans today Smile

Oh and the really nice mw rang back and said she had looked at some of my history, and she thinks the most likely explanation for my pain, and spotting was cysts on my ovaries dispersing - it has reassured me immensely! Smile

sorry for the mammoth post x

roofio87 · 22/02/2013 08:42

Hayleybop sorry nothing at the hospital seems to be helping so far, really hope you start feeling better soon!!
cherry hope you're feeling ok too and the bean is ok. I know u have to be careful with eggs in pregnancy but you don't really think it will happen!! do u live in UK? was it definitely eggs? I thought they were very hard to get salmonella from these days? I will defo be avoiding now.
caz it must be hard getting a negative reaction from your parents, but you're right,if you cope with dc1 at 14 then you're more than equipped to cope with another at 31. as long as you and your partner are happy then try not to worry (easier said than done I know!!)
sending lots of hugs and positive vibes out to all he ladies out there!Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

Sephy · 22/02/2013 08:59

Not a lot to add from me to what's already been said, but thinking of all going through tough times at the moment. Those of you in hospital, at least you're being looked after, hope they're making you as comfortable as possible.

Still no sickness for me, but continued difficulties in going to the toilet, waking up with dreadful tummy aches etc. anyone know if normal bowel function returns some time after end of pregnancy or am I now stuck like this for life!?

Haylebop12 · 22/02/2013 09:08

Waiting for y scan. Eeek

Sephy · 22/02/2013 09:09

Ooh hayle, hope goes well xx

Rockchick1984 · 22/02/2013 09:11

Cherry hope you're feeling better soon, and that pregnancy is all ok after this scare.

Roofio lion mark stamped eggs are fine to eat runny as they are vaccinated against salmonella, but ones without this (eg from local supplier) aren't so you need to make sure they are fully cooked. Hope that helps :)

Rockchick1984 · 22/02/2013 09:12

Good luck Hayle!!

roofio87 · 22/02/2013 09:16

thank you Rockchick I thought that was the rule. that being said I've been having my eggs well cooked anyway just to be safe!!

pinkbuttons · 22/02/2013 09:19

so sorry to hear those people who are in hospital! Its horrible but am glad your all getting the best care possible. Makes me feel bad for moaning about sickness
Also good luck for everyone with scans today!
Hope all goes well.

Im so sorry to read strawberry and delilahs news. I hope you both have some good news soon.

pinkbuttons · 22/02/2013 09:21

ooh good luck hayle!! cross posted sorry

Haylebop12 · 22/02/2013 09:28

Thanks for all your good luck ladies. They're being slow. Doc didn't put request on system or something daft. More waiting...... Grrrr

Haylebop12 · 22/02/2013 09:40

Only one baby here, sorry to disappoint! Measuring 6 ish weeks which is about right. i should be 6+3 lthough she said it can't be too accurate this early on. And a tiny pulse. So pleased but still not out the danger zone! Roll on 12 weeks!

Sending you lots of luck falcon

MrsAFlowerpot · 22/02/2013 09:42

roofio87 · 22/02/2013 09:54

pinkbuttons · 22/02/2013 09:55

Glad all is well hayle even with 1 bean in there.

MrsAFlowerpot · 22/02/2013 10:15

Thank you lovely ladies. It's quite a difficult journey - country roads then long stretch of M1 and snowing a tiny bit here so think it's best I just keep quiet for now. Have had such a lovely few days away with DH and DD Sad

I will call the GP pinkbuttons. I had similar at the same time with DD and thankfully all fine obviously with her - but also had mcs pre and post her.

HotSoupDumpling · 22/02/2013 10:18

Good luck flowerpot. Fingers crossed for you.

Feelinghungry · 22/02/2013 10:19

Cherry you poor thing, what a scare I really hope you and your bean are ok.
Hope all goes well with the scan Falcon.
And MrsFlowerpot big Fx for you, Spotting does happen but I guess it is the not knowing and the 3 hour drive to get through. Please keep us updated

5 weeks today for me and still waiting for some more signs that I am actually pregnant! I heard so much about the tiredness; when did this actually kick in for some of you? xx

Hi everyone! I'm so pleased to have found you. Mumsnet was a godsend when I was pregnant with DS who is now 2.5.

I'm 27 and due 15th October so I'm 6 weeks.

Was sick as a dog with DS right from the start and not been too bad at all this time so far so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a different kind of pregnancy. I have been completely exhausted though. Have any of you experienced totally different pregnancies?

I've had a read through about you ladies and my fingers are crossed for you all, especially those in hospital and MrsFlowerPot who must be feeling anxious right now. Sending lots of positive thoughts.

studentvera · 22/02/2013 10:54

Hi girls
Am 8 weeks today and so nervous! I have no sickness and my boobs no longer hurt. They were killing me - should I be worried I have no symptoms at 8 weeks?
